My go to middle eastern store when I'm in the Sacramento area. All the products that I want, including fresh vegetables and meats, a huge selection of canned and dry goods. I also have a bakery where they bake breads, fresh continuously and I always pick up pita bread when I'm here.

    Beef shawarma

For the price and quality of the food, it's worth the value. I enjoyed looking through the variety of food, product, and bakery items.

    General disarray

Understaffed over stuffed and about 20 PCT over priced with comparable stores. Good food and variety tho

Fresh fruits and vegetable as per season

Mediterranean market a must visit in sacramento They offer everything in one stop: Variety of Mediterranean food spices snacks tea coffee and much more. They have a butcher shop that offer fresh meat prepared to order. Fresh vegetable and fruits Bakery let's not forget the 3 different type of bread that is baked daily. Depending on the day and time you May have to place an order and wait a little. They have fresh middle eastern pastry and deserts displayed. And yes a menu of food to go. They are most popular for the sandwich with the fresh baked breads. Over all taste is mild and flavorful. You can easily spend an hour browsing aisle while you wait for your food to enjoy and take some bread to go. Where else can you do so much in such little time. A great escape to run grocery errands have lunch. This is my must visit when in sacramento

Very unfriendly atmosphere. Employees simply scowled. No welcome and no gratitude. Not sure why. Perhaps it was my shoes...?

I love the food at Babylon City Market. Their chicken shawarma sandwich is beyond amazing and potato samosas are great as well.

Ask the Community - Babylon City Market

    Are they open Christmas Day?

Yes we are open from 10am - 7pm daily including holidays.

I went to a gathering that was catered from Babylon. I had some garlic aioli/dip. What is it called? I think it was to be eaten with the chicken kabobs

It's the garlic sauce that they put on chicken kabab sandwiches.

Does Babylon City Market do catering? Is there a menu online?

    Did you check online?

Food was definetely 5/5 - absolutely fantastic! Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. We ordered the CHICKEN SHISH TAWOOK PLATE and GRILLED HANGER STEAK. The chicken was really good - juicy, tender, seasoned well, and not overcooked at all. The steak was rich, tender, and incredibly juicy. It was amazing! The portions are big, and there is a huge variety of sides and spices to pair with your dishes. The service was 3/5. Unfortunately, not a single employee had a smile on their face, and it didn't feel very welcoming. It also took a while for our food to arrive, but the restaurant was pretty full, so that was understandable. Beit Rima feels cozy and warm. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, and you can park your car in the parking lot across the street. Next time we visit the city, we will definitely be back.

She was very skilled. Beautiful young woman, balancing a sword, doing all kinds of dances in different costumes, she put a great effort in it. Balancing a whole chandelier of burning real candles on her head. And interacting in a very nice way with the Guests. They happen to be a group of young women celebrating graduation. Carpets and cushions everywhere, dim lights and curtained ceilings with beautiful light fixtures. Too bad we can't have hookah smoke anymore. You get to choose among different options for different courses, but mostly everybody gets the same thing except for the main protein. Because I'm pescatarian, The Wife graciously agreed to a veggie bastilla, instead of chicken. We expected the same thing, just without chicken; so egg and nuts. Nope - neither were present. But there was a lot of carrots. There was also a carrot salad, and carrots on the side of my main dish. The salad course was superb. The aforementioned carrot salad, plus a cucumber salad, and an amazing eggplant salad that I kept scooping up in my pita. I had the Moroccan seafood platter, with shrimp and scallops, both very well cooked. The Wife had the chicken kabob, and was very happy. At the end, we had baklava with stylishly poured mint tea. The show is almost as important as the meal. Speaking of which, we were there for the belly dancer Jennifer, and she was excellent. She started with a lit skirt, then came back twice, once with a curved sword on her head and another just alone. Beautiful and friendly, dancing briefly with a gentleman from one party, and for a while with a younger girl from another large family. So sweet.

I absolutely love Nancy and everyone at Castle Rock Arabians. My daughter loved her week at camp…read morethrough spring break and it never would have happened if it weren't for Nancy. I have 3 kids, my oldest child was shot with a shotgun and blinded while participating in a junior pheasant hunt hosted by the state of California when he was 11 years old. This has made it very difficult for me to go back to work full time and even more difficult to pay for things like a week long horseback riding camp. When my 9 yr old daughter asked me if she could go to horse camp I heard $$$$$ and thought that it would never happen, but I took a chance and called Nancy and see what I could do. I didn't tell Nancy about my son or monetary hardship, but she could tell by my reaction when she told me the price that I couldn't really afford it. Nancy asked me if I knew anything about horses or office work and when I told her I used to be an office manager she asked me to work for her at the ranch a couple days a week in trade for my daughter to go to camp. Of course I jumped at the opportunity. Not only did my daughter get to go to camp but I got to go with her and was able to see how much fun she was having and she really was having the best time. She loved the girls that worked with her, as well as riding and grooming the horses. At the end of the day she would go on and on about all the fun things they did and how much she loved camp and all her new friends which I later found out were the apprentices. I believe that is what makes them different, the apprentices. Even though there are always 4 adult trainers running the camp the apprentices are the ones the kids seem to bond with the most. The young adults that work there are experienced riders who have been riding and training for years and know what they are doing. Nancy doesn't let just anyone that wants to work there work with the kids. They have to have a lot of experience and knowledge just to be considered for the apprenticeship program and eventually a proven ability to teach . They have to earn the right to participate in camp and teach lessons. They start at the bottom and work their way up to apprentice trainer. This means they had to clean stalls, feed and groom horses, and work on the ranch. As you can imagine I am a bit overprotective when it comes to my kids after what happened with my son and I can say I believe it was not only safe but a lot of fun for all the kids . I got the chance to know most of the apprentices and they are some of the most responsible young women and men that I have met in a very long time. There have been times that appointments have gotten mixed up or people have gotten mixed around but that happens everywhere and anytime a customer is unhappy with their experience Nancy personally addresses the issue and does her best to make them happy. I intend to continue working for Nancy in order for my daughter to continue enjoying the lessons and camp as much as possible and because I enjoy being there with Nancy and the Rebecka. I would not allow my daughter to go back if I thought it was not safe or if there were un qualified staff or instructors working with her. I highly recommend Castle Rock Arabians to everyone that will listen.
