Used to be cheap. Now they want $40 for bullshit haircut that they rush and finish in 15 minutes. Go to a real barber who will spend time and effort on your style rather than try to do 4 customers per hour. They literally sit you down and start waving scissors and machines fast asf to finish you within 15 minutes. They're trying to make $160 per hour by doing this. Feels like I'm in a deli with those numbers they have you grab. Saw the "head barber" from what it looked like literally advise the other barbers to not do an old man's haircut after he had been sitting there for an hour but another one of their Assyrian buddies came in and was attended to first which the old man did not like. Because he spoke out he was denied service and left without a haircut. I wanted to walk out after that too if I also hadn't spent an hour waiting as well. It was like a slap in the face being told "oh this person has an appointment" but they literally have never taken an appointment. They just knew the person and gave him priority. I genuinely don't recommend this place to any anyone out there. I had a very bad experience. The barber was very rude and didn't even cut my hair properly. I was in and out in 10 mins. Barber was in a rush and was on phone while cutting my hair. I asked him to fix my hair line and he didn't even do it properly and messed up my hair line. To do the hair line you have to use the band to make it even but he never used it. I asked him if I can use the dryer to fix my hair and he refused it right way. I am literally paying you bro, You are not cutting it for free. Be nice and professional to your customers. Very disappointed!!! read more

I saw that this placed opened up very near my apartment, so naturally I just had to give it a go. To put it mildly, it drastically exceeded my expectations. I am always one to support local businesses. The shopping center itself recently got a huge facelift. The business facades have all been updated and the parking lot has been resurfaced. This was quite obviously done in an effort to attract new tenants, and this being the second new opening in as many months, it's a strategy that appears to be working. The interior of Babylon is spotless and welcoming, and unlike most salons in the area, instead of being met by a twenty something girl who talks fast and chews gum, you are greeted by the owner who is a quite muscular gentleman with tats and boots. To be honest this was a little bit concerning initially, until the man got to work on my hair, then his attention to detail and the obvious pride he takes in his work was beyond reproach. This is not your standard standard 10 min suburbia cut. He takes his time, scissors and layers everything to perfection, trims your eyebrows and neckline, and then breaks out the straight razor for that polished and fresh from the barber shop look. It has been FOREVER since I have seen a barber use a straight razor. This is an old school touch that I was very pleasantly surprised to see. It was quite refreshing to get lathered up and shaved, and the final result looks fantastic. The cut in general is the best one I have had in an eternity. Considering how close this place is to where I live, and the fact that the cuts are a friggin bargain (8 bucks) for the quality of the work, I would say It's 100% safe to assume I will be returning here for haircuts from now on. read more

Just a tip: If you're coming at a busy time like early evening or late afternoon, allow for a decent wait. I don't usually expect immediate seating and allow for ~20/30 mins of wait. For two years I had nothing but good things to say about this salon, but I am sorry to say I had a terrible experience with them today. My husband and I (seniors) have been loyal customers for two years, and have never had a complaint either with the cuts or the service. Everyone has been friendly and knows their job. Last time I mistakenly entered a $45 tip on their ancient debit machine, so the owner wrote out a $40 credit on a card, dated and signed it. When I went in today, the same person refused to honor the card and insisted my husband had already used up the credit! This is impossible, as I had the card in my purse the whole time, and my husband had not even been IN for a cut in that time period. The time before that, he used the debit machine. But the owner made a huge deal out of it and kept saying, "I remember it, I remember it", assuming his memory overrode our honesty and integrity. I felt humiliated, and the staff seemed embarrassed. He was accusing me of either lying or trying to defraud the salon, which was outrageous! He wanted my husband to come into the salon, and when I said no, he said "ask him about it, ask him about it", repeatedly. I don't think he made eye contact with me the whole time. In no way, shape or form did we (or would we) defraud anyone. This was a disgraceful way to treat pensioners who have been loyal customers for years. PLEASE do not subject anyone else to this treatment! Customer service should be paramount in any successful business, and when customers lose trust in you, you lose everything. read more

I had the pleasure of meeting Ninos today. He's a man of few words but a wizard with scissors. I consulted my fellow Yelpers in hopes of finding a suitable barber in the area and once again they delivered. I walked in without an appointment on a Thursday morning and only had to wait about 30 minutes for 3 other guys to go before me. Ninos is very no-nonsense and I got the exact haircut I needed since I've been growing out a little rat's nest for a while. Cheap haircuts, you get what you pay for. If you like a nice even fade and are picky with your hair, steeeeer clear. I've tried them out a few times, after this last one no more. My taper cut was horrible, uneven you could see lines smh so embarrassing. Went back to get it fixed but wasn't trying to wait another 45 minutes to an hour so I left, done with that place. I came here for a haircut. I waited for 30 min, there were 2 people working. One guy was on his phone, and didn't ask me anything, not sure if he speaks English. Other guy never said anything either. After 30 min, someone else walked in, and spoke in a different language to each other, and they sat him right away. I waited 45 min total until they cut my hair. Guy was very rude and rushed me out.
