The warmth and kindness of the doulas and staff made us feel safe and cared for. We were able to meet our doula Joanna, and then met with her several times before labor and delivery. She helped answer questions, ease worries, and support decision making every step of the way. So thankful to have her with me there at the hospital through my very long labor, helping keep me (and my family) calm and advocating for me. Once our little girl arrived, Joanna continued to check in, coming to our home to insure breastfeeding was going well. After recovering I was able to start attending the moms' group hosted by Elizabeth. She has been there each week to answer questions, ease worries, and facilitate new friendships with other moms, all while letting our little ones interact, learn, and grow. I checked out their Facebook page, website and Yelp reviews. I could not have any more positive things to say about Joanna, Elie and the organization. Elie teaches Yoga at 5:30 every Tuesday. Classes are $12 or $10 if you prepay four classes through PayPal. I use PayPal because it makes things so much more convenient. You have to take your own mat but occasionally they will have 1-2 loaner mats but nothing beats taking your own mat. My fiance and I also took the Informed Childbirth classes with Joanna on Wednesday evening. The class really is what it is, Informed Childbirth. The baby books can only teach you so much but being in class with other expectant couples and Joanna who is a certified doula really has enlightened the child birth process and options that I will have at the hospital when my little guy decides to make his big arrival. I joined prenatal yoga in hopes to meet other expectant moms in the area and get to know some new friends. I am like most parents grew up in an environment where my family banned sexual education, finding…read morethe balance between educating children about sexual education and condoning underage sex is a challenge for me and most parents today. Jen's sex education course "The Talk" to my 10-year-old daughter is a master class about age-appropriate sexual education to children. "The Talk" explains HOW sex versus WHY of sex. The course is a great source of education for children on HOW to have intercourse and HOW the body is made. "The Talk: manages to successfully to protect each child's family values while providing an age-appropriate sexual development for my daughter which helped me know and when to address topics of concern and how to influence behavior across her childhood based on our family values. The course "The Talk" also covers many areas to list a few: the differences between males, females, the label of body parts, the questions about the origin of babies, the mechanics of sex and reproduction, safe sex, and STDs, etc.... Finally, The Talk helped me as a parent to have an effective conversation with my daughter about sex, this is the best gift I could have given my daughter Zoe to teach her how to navigate through life, value and respect her body while getting ready to build a future healthy relationship.

In short, The Talk Institute teaches puberty and sex-ed to parents and kids together. I can't say enough about how cool an idea I think it is, even though my son is only 4 now so nowhere near that time (thank god..!)... the company is run by Jennifer Barber, and she has been teaching sex ed for 10 years. She works closely with PTA's, girl/boy scout troops, or just organized groups of parents, to supplement what's currently offered by schools (by school nurses, or science teachers). The Talk Institute works with elementary through high school aged kids, with their parents, to factually educate about the physical and emotional changes children experience during puberty. I love that the kids and parents can hear the same information at the same time (because you never know what kids hear!), and parents can then position the information in private with their kids based on their own personal or family values, etc. The Talk Institute breaks the ice and lays the foundation for these challenging talks, and helps parents empower their kids with the knowledge and skills necessary to grow up sexually healthy. Is that the coolest??? Sorry so long, and of course I stole from my friend's web site to plug here...but she won't mind and I really hope that anyone with puberty-aged kids will consider reaching out to The Talk Institute! From the dad's view - (note: this was our first baby)…read more Hiring Britney was the best decision we made. Let me explain to the dads out there why this turned out to be so awesome and worth every penny. There is a lot about the whole pregnancy thing that are challenging for dad mostly because you feel a little helpless. I had no idea what to really expect and hadn't even seen a birth before. We took some hypno-birthing classes and those were helpful. I also read a ton of books. One I recommend is Expectant Fathers http://a.co/6av4TBN - it is a book just for expecting dads. From the first meeting we liked Britney because she tells it like it is, asks thoughtful questions and is flexible with her approach. This means you get to direct how you want the brith to go down. She comes and meets with you a couple of times before the baby is born. This is great because you get to ask more questions and dive into what to expect the day of. My wife really really didn't want a c-section and Britney was great about helping us understand how we can best avoid the procedure. She also wanted to avoid an epidural...and she did. Now fast forward to the day of the birth, or in our case the two days :) It is darn near traumatizing to watch your significant other go through child labor. We stayed home as long as we could before heading to the hospital. Britney was texting and calling while we waited, ate, slept, walked, drank water, and chilled for hours while the labor proceeded. It was nice having someone I could reach out to with questions while we were at home because I have no fricken clue what exactly to do during labor. The best way to sum it up is this - Britney is the coach and mentor for the brith. This allows us dads to take on the roll of supporter and comforter. I am so thankful that I didn't need to tell my wife that she "needs to push harder!" because Britney was there to do that. I can only imagine how well that would have gone over with me telling her that after hours of pushing. During labor, neither our OB nor our Midwife made it to the delivery room. Without Britney there we would have been going through this entire thing alone, without anyone we knew or had a relationship with. There is no question that our birth was a thousand times better because Britney was our guide. As a dad she also made my experience better because it gave me a unique chance to be involved in a caring way during the labor.

Thanks to Ms. G's expertise and dedication, we were able to uncover the root causes of these behaviors. Ms. G not only provided valuable insights but also helped us find a fantastic occupational therapist and guided us through effective behavior therapy strategies. Additionally, she worked closely with my child's school to secure special accommodations, ensuring he had the learning environment that best suited his needs. The improvements have been remarkable. My child has gone from constant emails and calls from the school to receiving straight E's for excellent in his behavior grades by the end of the year. My experience with this office raised serious concerns about the coordination and continuity of my…read morereproductive healthcare. I was scheduled for a hysterectomy in April 2025 after completing the scans, bloodwork and consultations requested by Dr. Bodon and surgeon Dr. Herman McDaniel. In February 2025, Dr. Bodon recommended Zepbound for weight loss before surgery. It took nearly two weeks for the prescription to reach the pharmacy, and a promised medication follow-up was never scheduled. I disclosed my medications during my surgical appointments with Dr. McDaniel, but I was never instructed during those visits to discontinue Zepbound before surgery. My April surgery was then canceled because I was told the wrong hospital had been scheduled. It was rescheduled for June. I had already made costly arrangements for the original date. When I contacted Director of Operations Elsa Gutierrez about what happened, I found her communication extremely dismissive and disrespectful. When I questioned why the insurance/network issue had not been verified before scheduling surgery, I was essentially asked, "You've been rescheduled, what do you want?" Before my June surgery, I saw Dr. McDaniel again. He initially appeared not to remember recently seeing me and was about to order another transvaginal ultrasound and bloodwork until I reminded him that I was there for my pre-op appointment. During that appointment, after reviewing my vitamin D levels, he asked about my occupation and income. After learning I was self-employed, he gave me promotional material and his personal promotional code for a website with which he said he was affiliated. My understanding from the conversation was that he could financially benefit if the code was used. I found this concerning during a preoperative appointment, particularly because I received very little information about preparing for surgery. The week before my June surgery was chaotic. Less than a week beforehand, I had heard nothing regarding pre-op testing. Four days before surgery, a STAT lab order was being arranged. Two days before surgery, a hospital nurse asked about cardiology clearance, and I personally contacted my cardiologist to have it faxed. Then I learned that authorization had been obtained for the surgery but not the hospital stay. The hospital warned me surgery could be canceled without it. At approximately 4:30 p.m. THE DAY BEFORE SURGERY, while I was at the pharmacy picking up medications prescribed for my postoperative recovery, surgery coordinator Sarah called and told me the authorization had not been obtained and my surgery was canceled. This was my second canceled surgery after months of preparation. I called afterward requesting an appointment with Dr. Bodon but could not get one scheduled. At this time I was still experiencing extremely heavy bleeding. My insurance approved a referral related to obtaining medically necessary pads and told me to contact the office. An employee then told me my insurance was out of network, despite my having received care there for approximately six months. About ten minutes later, Sarah called and explained that this information was incorrect. She also told me the employee claimed I had been "getting all crazy" with her. From my perspective, I had simply been asking questions about my insurance and an approved referral. When I contacted Elsa again, she told me she was too busy to deal with the situation, repeatedly asked, "What do you want?" and ended the call. Afterward, I was never able to meaningfully reconnect with my physician. No follow-up appointment with Dr. Bodon was arranged, and my patient portal messages went unanswered. Yet prescriptions continued to be filled for months afterward, including Zepbound through approximately December 2025 and iron prescriptions later, despite no follow-up visits. I ultimately declined to schedule another hysterectomy with Dr. McDaniel because I no longer felt comfortable proceeding under his care. As of August 2026, approximately 14 months after the canceled June 2025 surgery, I have received no meaningful follow-up regarding my reproductive care and no response to my portal concerns. I understand that insurance authorizations, hospitals and medical scheduling can be complicated and mistakes happen. My concern is the cumulative pattern I experienced: two canceled surgeries, scheduling and authorization problems, last-minute pre-op coordination, conflicting insurance information, unanswered messages, lack of physician follow-up, and interactions with management that I experienced as dismissive and hostile. Women seeking serious reproductive healthcare deserve clear communication, continuity of care, careful coordination and respectful treatment. Based on my experience, I would not entrust this office with my reproductive surgical care again.
