Sorry so many people had to endure watching/hearing me. Finally in a ER room, was cold, asked for a blanket, male nurse came back 15 mins later, oh, forgot. The insurance man went and got me a pillow. Later I asked for a gown and socks as I was still cold. Are all rooms devoid of basic supplies? After IV and meds my body was calming down but i was very concerned about being dehydrated!! My record showed I was alone and 74 yrs . At 2am the nurse told me I was being discharged! Really, I was still sick and alone. She asked if I could call Uber. "OH, it is dangerous " she said. She came in a few more times and at 6am asked me to call a friend to come and get me. Feeling pressured, I woke up a friend in Redlands, of course she didn't. At 7am the Dr came to the door to hug the nurse good by. A new nurse an Dr came in and Dr. Said "I'm not sending you home. We will give you more fluids. Totally different experience for me. Was dismissed at 9am when the concierge called a taxi for me.

The doctor probably has the best bedside manner I've ever encountered and just seems like a great guy. All the nurses are extremely efficient and I think that any medical organization could learn from how organized and quick they they intake the patients, run the tests, and then do the follow-ups. I hope I don't ever have to stay in the hospital, but I will say that this would be the hospital. I would go to if I ever need one for sure!

I was amazed how kind, thoughtful, respectful and professional all of the staff and visiting staff were. My care was 100% perfect, I could not have asked for a better experience for my first surgery. Everything that they were going to perform on me was clearly explained and in no way rushed. I had the same experience for my pre-surgery tests and phone call. Everyone went out of their way to extend every courtesy to me. I thank all of the kind nurses and staff and the anesthesiologist who made my experience and recovery so much easier than I had ever anticipated.

The doctors did not seem to have much interest in the medications that my husband had been prescribed by his Cedars Sinai doctors, nor did they listen carefully to me when I tried to share his medical history, including actual reports from doctors that I accessed from my Cedars Sinai app. I asked repeatedly about him receiving his meds and was never given a good reason why they were being withheld. I also learned that the Medical Center does not subscribe to EPIC - an electronic health record platform in the US that allows for medical records from one hospital to be accessed by another. This is significant in that they treat patients without having access to important medical history. I am still not certain that the 'abscess' that they drained wasn't a cyst that his Cedars doctor had determined to be benign. I showed one of the doctors the MRI results from April of this year, but another doctor determined that the 'abscess' needed to be drained. We waited 4 days for the MRI to be completed. During his 10-day stay, my husband was in three different rooms. The last night, he was placed in a room with three other patients and a shared restroom that he refused to use. We have Medicare and Blue Shield insurance. I was shocked to find him in that shared room on the morning that he was finally discharged. The bottom line is this - my husband gained 21 pounds during his 10-day stay. Only 2 times did someone come and get him out of bed to walk. His legs are so full of fluid that he now needs a walker to get around. The fluid buildup is due to a lack of the correct dosage of diuretics. It will take us weeks to get rid of the fluid. Was anyone keeping track of his weight? If so, why didn't they make the proper adjustments? Why didn't someone listen to my pleas for more meds to address the fluid buildup? To top it all off, my husband has scabs all over his arms and a huge gash on his head that no one can explain. What a horrific experience.

I was bleeding pretty good. My wife was upset. Had a towel around my head when I walked in Judah one of the nurse receptionists asked a few questions, told her I was on a blood thinners and she got after it after that. They brought a wheelchair out, took me to the back for a CAT scan of my head. No waiting around the service I received was outstanding all the staff the two nurses that helped me, Jamison and Adrian were awesome . Chet Baker the busy ER doc was fun professional and fantastic as well All the staff were super. the good news is no damage no bleeding in my head just three staples needed. Dr. Baker put those in, first time I've ever had staples and they hurt. I'm good thanks to super care JFK Memorial emergency department. In at 9:45pm home at 12:45am

I fell down stairs and fractured my back. The ambulance company said we have to take you to JFK…read moresince it is the closest hospital. I said NO that place is a dump, I want to go to Eisenhower. The paramedic said JFK has an outstanding ER, better than the other hospital and it is a Level 1 Trauma hospital. JFK is run down, the entrance to the ER looks like it's located in a 3rd world country, terrible. The ER waiting room is even worse, tiny, old chairs and honestly looks like a set in a NYC movie, crummy. The care I received was FANTASTIC! The ER is really small, 10 beds, is screaming for a remodel and more space, the staff is packed in there. The nurses, the orderly that took me for the Cat Scan, the female doctor, they were all wonderful. I was lucky to be placed in a storage room where it was quiet and not the main ER space. I had a good experience, but it's difficult to recommend a hospital that is so shabby and run down. I hope the building is remodeled and updated because the ER staff is top notch.

I had a referral for a colon dr that suggested I get another colonoscopy done when I just had one done one month prior. Mind Blowing. When I asked why, he said because his office wasn't the one to do it and he didnt trust Kaisers colonoscopies. Which I appreciate the honestly because Kaiser is again THE WORST..I was so put off that he was trying to make me go through another colonoscopy a month later???? that's just one example. The same referred doctor had me come in so he could go over my colonoscopy results and then realized during my appt that his nurses never requested them so he old me to go home and charged me 80 dollar copay for my appt anyway. these people are SICK.
