Beautiful tasting area, good wine and a friendly knowledgeable host, what more can you ask for? Tristan, made our tasting experience an informed one, with lots of history of the Baca-Hall brand and the Healdsburg area. We will definitely be back!

Peter and Rick were awesome! They were so knowledgeable about the brands of wine. What a great wine tasting experience. We ended up with a bottle of Ring Around the Rosé, and Walt Clos Pepe. Then the vibe on the patio couch seating and be able to walk around the vineyard a little bit was great! Thank you.

The outside is an interesting modern building and the inside follows with the modern vibe. It was loud inside and a tad cramped. I'm all for sharing tables whole tasting but my ears were ringing. The wine tender was trying to be personalable but we just wanted to taste amongst ourselves. The wines were so so and just not for me. Other wine tasters around our party were enjoying. Perhaps this is the winery for you, it was just not for me.

Lovely little place. We walked in and couldn't accommodate us for a tasting but we're able to choose a glass of wine and enjoy it on the patio. Friendly staff and both wines were wonderful.

What a wonderful find. We were scouting out places to bring a large group in the fall and this one is a winner! Lovely setting, great selection of wines from Baca, Hall and Walt wines - how fabulous. Inside and outside seating available. Inside you will see they have lots of fun games scattered about for a unique distraction. Can't wait to bring our group here in October - yeah!

Fun wine tasting! Thank you, Tristan!

Very fun place to go wine tasting. I love that it was more than just tasting - they add a game of guessing each wine's tasting notes. My group went during some rainy weather, so we enjoyed the tasting indoors. Our host, Tristian, was knowledgeable and a great sport with all our silly jokes.

They call this a wine and food experience. Laughable. More like a tidbit nibble experience.

I'm a BaCa club member. Was encouraged to sample the wine and food experience. Well, given that the food was less than 6 teaspoons of three tastes, the "experience" is way paltry. The tidbits were no better than combos of stuff you'd buy at Safeway. I like the wines. I buy them here frequently. I'm also a member of 7 other wineries. Those places have food experiences that are full on gourmet meals of fancy tasting menus. My friends at BACA, really just drop this program. It's pretty shameful and doesn't reflect well on the high quality wines. Addendum: My wife then tells me 5 days later that this "food experience" cost us $60 each! For less than 6 teaspoons of Safeway quality deli tidbits? You gott'a be kidding me. I canceled my wine club membership after that shocking news.

The "Round the Rose'" - my favorite. You can even buy it in cans!!

Just completed an amazing wine tasting at Baca! I am not a fan of Zinfandel grapes, but I must say I am now a fan. From the "Round the Rose'" Zinfandel based rose' wine, to the "I Spy" Zinfandel; each wine was better than the last. Brandon handled our tasting without any rush or pretense. He provided great advice based upon our palettes and preferences. The atmosphere and views into the vineyard from the tasting room were wonderful. This is a wonderful tasting room to simply come for a glass of wine and relax. I'll definitely return on my next visit to the area.

We chose to drop in Marine Layer Wines. The tasting room is located in a very nice area in beautiful downtown Healdsburg across Healdsburg square. Parking is accessible all around the street and Healdsburg square. The modern decor was beautiful and bright. There were plenty of tables and couches to accommodate all different size parties. The vibe was inviting and family friendly. There was a cozy fireplace in the front as well. We ordered a glass of Lyra Pinot Noir and a glass of Aries Chardonnay. My Pinot Noir was smooth while the wifey's Chardonnay was crisp and refreshing. The wine was great quality. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Marine Layer Wines. The staff was nice and helpful. If you are in Healdsburg this is my number one recommendation for wine tasting. They expertly pair the wine with dishes they make fresh on site. Our server Akayla was super patient and fun, she explained the history of the winery and told fun stories about the owners. The place was clean and organized. They knew exactly what they were doing and I am so impressed with the hospitality! The quantity of food you get with the food + pairings option is not enough for a meal, but perfect for a snack. We were told the lunch dishes are the same but bigger portions. My favorite dishes from the tasting was the Brick Cooked Chicken and the Chocolate Lamington Dessert. My favorite wine was not one that paired with those two, but it was called Elate Grange Cuvée which was a red blend. I was considering the wine membership but what attracted me the most was not the wine but the food + wine pairing experience. So although I didn't sign up to be a member, I will definitely come back as a customer! I want to bring my parents next time for either lunch with pairings or the food with pairings option.

Everyone sat at one very long table, in our individual groups/pairs, right next to where they store their wines in casks. Each course was paired with a wine, as wine tastings tend to do -- but in this case, each course was also accompanied by a soprano who sang an well-known aria she selected that she felt complimented the course. The food was excellent, served family style: Lemon ricotta pancakes, roasted potatoes, eggs in purgatory, a burrata and arugula salad, and an apple tart for dessert. It sounds like a ton of food -- but since we could self serve, it wasn't overwhelming. The team there introduced each wine -- and could not have been nicer or more accommodating. I highly recommend attending this brunch event -- a real treat and beautiful way to enjoy a weekend!

Mark is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate in what he does. You do have to make a reservation ahead of time though for tastings. But it's definitely worth it! Mark greeted us by the door of the tasting room/production facility which is just off the square. He spent time walking through the winery's history and how he and is brother run the business. By the end of the tasting we had talked about wine, food, music, documentaries, and much more. Mark made it feel like we were all siting around the kitchen table just talking about wine and life. I liked this setting (one group at a time with 100% participation) much more enjoyable than most other wineries we visited which have more of a bar/restaurant feeling where the server would just pour your tasting, give you the one sentence blurb they learned about it and then disappearing to help other tables for 10-15 minutes until it was time for your next pour. We started the tasting with their "White Wine" and Viognier. We then moved on to the reds including Pinot, Zin, Merlot, Malbec and Cab. They were all very well made and quite tasty. Ended up purchasing 3 bottles to go and a membership to be shipped later in the year. I'd definitely recommend others putting Blanchard on their list of places to visit in Healdsburg. Appointments are needed as Mark only does one group's tasting at a time.

If you had told me two years ago that I would confidently navigate a wine list or casually discuss soil types and native fermentation, I would have laughed. When I first walked into Lioco Tasting Room, I genuinely could not tell you whether I preferred white or red. Joining their wine club has since become one of the best investments I have made, not only in my wine knowledge, but in my social life. Lioco is the definition of thoughtful, terroir driven winemaking. Their wines lean fresh, vibrant, and balanced, with a restraint that feels very intentional. Nothing feels over extracted or manipulated. There is a purity to the fruit and a transparency to the vineyard sites that makes every tasting feel educational without ever feeling pretentious. The price point is also remarkably accessible for the level of quality they are pouring, which makes exploring their lineup feel exciting rather than intimidating. What sets this tasting room apart, though, is the people. Michael has been instrumental in helping me understand the why behind the wine, from farming practices and harvest decisions to fermentation and élevage. There is a genuine openness to sharing knowledge here. Questions are welcomed. Curiosity is encouraged. You never feel talked down to, only invited deeper. Over the past year as a member, I have watched myself grow up in my palate. I have learned what I gravitate toward and why. I have discovered that I love a coastal Chardonnay with tension and minerality, and that a light bodied Pinot with vibrant acidity can be more compelling than something heavy and oaky. That confidence now follows me everywhere. Any restaurant wine list feels approachable. Beyond the wine, Lioco is building something rare, real community. Their pickup parties feel more like gatherings of friends than transactional club events. Their Metiche pop up was a creative and intimate experience that remains one of my favorites. I have walked into events knowing only one person and left with new friends. That says everything. The space itself matches the vibe. In warmer months, there is nothing better than enjoying a glass of Estero on the patio. When it is raining, the bar becomes cozy and warm, often with records spinning in the background. It feels equal parts refined and relaxed, serious about wine but never judgmental. I have brought countless friends here for comprehensive tastings, and more than a few have ended up joining the club themselves. That, to me, is the strongest endorsement.
