    Mac & Cheese with bacon
    Jacklyn D.

I was really impressed with the service, especially from one of the managers. She truly made a memorable experience for my friends and I. We had a reservation at 10:30 AM, and at this time it was still relatively slow. There is not one server assigned to your table because they work as a team and that made everything go by so fast and smooth. There was this one server who gave us the vibe of not wanting to help us, but we did not let that ruin our day. She made us hand her the empty plates rather than walking around the table like the other servers. She also snatched them out of our hands so aggressively. We got to try a variety of foods which included: glazed pork belly, french toast, mac and cheese with bacon, bacari fries, and moroccan cigars. We also got the bottomless mimosas/sangria to drink ($35/pp). The glazed pork belly was deliciously marinated and tender, the mac and cheese was cheesy and the truffle added additional flavor, the french toast was good, but on the soggier side, and the fries were your basic fries but the house sauce really put it together with a spicy kick and an egg to finish it off. The restaurant is tapas style so they recommend you share amongst everyone at the table. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. Park at the In n Out structure for free parking, or pay the Americana parking fee :) I must say, I have been to other locations in the past, and it's sad to say inflation is real because the prices on the menu have raised and the menu has been moved around :(

Okay, TL,DR? 10/10. All plates. Decor is great for a date day/night, but after becoming sober, my new vice is food and I just found my new favorite restaurant because every single dish I got was a hit. I got help from Agnes which gave me recommendations and the food was so good that I forgot to take a picture because I was enjoying it too much. Grab whatever dish you kinda like and you will end up liking it. Hope you get lucky and get Agnes helping you out because she is amazing and treated us like we were best friends. Can't wait to come back

Another excellent experience here. High quality food and friendly staff. Olivia was so knowledgeable about the menu, she convinced us to try something we hadn't had before. Great recommendations!

This is soooo addicting. Especially because the portions sizes are perfect for me to share with friends and not feel heavy. I can't stop thinking about the pork belly with scallions that they have. Love the lemon with it too. I am getting more than one next time. The pear Brie pizza was delicious especially cause I'm a Brie with a pear die-hard fan. Great if you split with 3 people, 2 slices each. I also always love their broccoli because I think there's spicy mayo in it

Believe it or not it was our first time at any Bacari. It was a nice night out and thought of going for happy hour. Hostess was very nice and friendly seated us by our request to sit outside. Preet was our waitress and she was very nice, professional, hardworking and very polite. We ordered Bacari beer and cocktail & mushrooms, sea bass and fries. Everything was delicious served hot & Preet was so nice to treat us with Date cake OMG IT WAS AMAZING CAKE WITH ICE CREAM AND CARAMEL. Beautiful outdoor seating at the Americana ambiance is always fun.

Had an amazing date night in Glendale and stumbled upon Bacari because it was so lively, even on a Sunday evening! Now we understand why because the food, the service, and the ambiance made for a lovely dinner. Our favorite thing about this restaurant is that it's tapas style, so you get more variety. They recommend 2-3 small plates per person. Everything we ordered was so tasty: Sea Bass, Scallops, Lamb Kebab (add the pita!), Mushroom Pizza and the Rainbow Beets. For the pizza, make sure to ask for red pepper and honey on the side. It's so good! Only thing I would skip is bread pudding for dessert. It was not bad, but something we would not order again. Overall, wonderful place for a date night or group dinner. Our server Jeff took great care of us and made our evening very pleasant. They also do parking validations when you park at Americana at the Brand.

Let me just say that this place is great. The food is remarkably tasty. The atmosphere is divine and prestige. But the service!! This is where I really have to tell you that this place is top notch. My friend and I ordered and we had a multiple amount people assuring us a great experience and we did have one. We had our waters filled, our plates replenished, extra napkins when needed drinks delivered fast and empty's taken away asap. However I must say that the manager Agnus made the night. She came to us and was there for us and attentive when her servers got busy and made the experience even more special! She was nice, professional and down to earth as well. This is what a great restaurant is all about. Great service, great food and without a doubt great leadership!! Will definitely be back. Oh, and try the Moroccan cigars! They're great!

The food is always so good and consistent across different locations. Came for the first time to this location on a hot summer day and didn't realize most of the tables are actually outside. It's located on the edge of the Americano.

Came back to try the other items on the menu I didn't order the last time. -Flat iron steak - cooked just right -Noah's Cauliflower - you want to mix it with salad underneath. We also combined it with the lamb hummus and used the pita - VERY GOOD this way. -Sea Bass- loved and would definitely order again. Great balance with the grilled veggies. -Double chocolate - would NOT order again. Tasted like they used a pre-mix in the microwave. Some parts were moist, while the crusty parts were inedible and hard to chew. Looked enticing though. -Vanilla ice cream with the honey and walnuts were a great combo. This visit was an 8 out of 10 for me. Enjoy.

Had a wonderful experience at Bacari GDL! The atmosphere is great, the small plates are creative and full of flavor, and the service is always outstanding from start to finish. Drink of choice: bacarita. Shareable plates: rainbow beets, shawarma tacos, cauliflower, street corn, fried chicken sliders. Highly recommend for a great dining experience in Glendale!

I have always wanted to visit Bacari while strolling through the Glendale mall, so we finally decided to give it a try. While a couple of items truly stood out, overall I'd rate the experience around 3/5. Before talking about the food, I have to mention our server Phil , he was exceptionally warm, sweet, and friendly. The dishes he recommended ended up being some of the better ones we tried, and the service overall was honestly 10/10. Standout Dish - Sea Bass (5/5) I would genuinely come back just for this. The fish, topped with corn and vegetables, was absolutely phenomenal and easily the highlight of the meal. Stuffed Mushrooms (3/5) Very smooth, melt-in-your-mouth texture, but nothing particularly memorable flavor-wise. Mujadara (3/5) Simple rice and lentils dish. Not bad at all, just nothing special. Green Falafel (3/5) Decent, but not something I'd specifically recommend. Brussels Sprouts (2/5) Usually one of our favorite appetizers elsewhere because of the sauces and garnishes, but this version felt too bland. Margherita Pizza (2/5) This is normally the safest menu option anywhere, so this one was a bit disappointing. Dessert : Best Cake & Malabi (5/5) Thankfully, the meal ended on a high note. Both desserts were absolutely worth it :) Overall, I might return to try more dishes, mainly because that sea bass was truly excellent. The food was a mix of hits and misses, but the amazing service definitely made the experience better.

Fried Chicken Sandwich and Tucson Kale Salad
    Allen L.

Service and food was amazing. Our server was sweet and really friendly. I really enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich, full of flavor and really good. For the kale salad if you don't love a lot of dressing ask for it on the side. Overall loved the ambiance outside and happy hour is from 3pm-6pm!

I came into Bacari today for the first time and was very impressed! I was greeted by the hostess upon arrival. She kindly asked if we had a reservation, and when we let her know we were a walk-in she accommodated us with no issue. For a party of two we waited only ten minutes. We were seated in the outside patio area, which was very comfortable because there's patio heaters for warmth. The chefs recommend 2-3 plates per person to share, so my partner and I ordered and shared the scallop medallions, chefs salmon, noa's cauliflower, and the Mediterranean street corn. For drinks I tried the strawberry fizz forever (which came with fresh strawberries, vodka, lemongrass, lime, and soda water) which was so refreshing and well-balanced! The scallop medallions were so buttery and tender, practically melting in your mouth. The carrot parsnip puree paired beautifully and added a balanced, slightly sweet taste to the dish. The salmon was equally soft and flavorful, complimented nicely with the garlic and herb bulgar. The carmalized cauliflower with chipotle sauce and mixed greens was definitely a standout. The dish was so rich in flavor and with just the right amount of spice. Lastly, the street corn was very delicious, buttery, and satisfying. Overall, the dishes were felt light yet very filling. Would highly recommend and excited to come back again.

Ask the Community - Bacari GDL

Do they decorate for Christmas time?

We don't necessarily decorate Bacari GDL, but the Americana does lots of Christmas decorating throughout the shops! The large Christmas tree is right around the corner from Bacari GDL!

Is this place loud at night?

It depends. If you're doing outdoor seating... it's loud, but manageable. You can still hold a conversation with the person in front of you. This is why I like this location over the Sherman Oaks one. It's smaller, but it's a little less loud and…

Does the place have AC? Or only on the inside portion of the restaurant?

The front of the restaurant stays open to the street - but it remains cool inside. There's no AC outside, but there is a cool Glendale breeze, with covered tables.

Where is the best place to park?

They have 2hr parking at the Americana

What are the odds of snagging a table on Mother's Day without a reservation?

Slim to none. It's a very popular spot.

Does the resturant validate the valet parking?

    Yes they do!

Are the prices really this cheap? 10$ for the petit filet?

Yes, but you do know that these are smaller portions (Tapas)? So you're not getting a full filet...it's more like a few slices of the filet. - hope this helps. 😌

Do you allow dogs on the patio?

They do, they also have a dog menu ( it is simple though, either burger patty or chicken breast). You have to ask them for the menu. And our waitress was so nice that she brought a bowl of water for our dog.

What time is happy hour? Is it only available in the Bar?

Happy hour is Monday - Friday from 2:30 pm - 6:30 pm. It's available in the entire restaurant!

Do you have a kids menu?

    Yes we do!

What is your brunch days and hours?

Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 am - 3:00 pm

    Do you make reservations? I didn't see a link.…

Damian, Thanks for reaching out. Yes, we do take reservations. You can always give us a call to…

Is there live music on Saturdays?

Hi Kamilla, Unfortunately we do not have live music now but we will be providing it around spring early summer. We’re looking for something that’s going to add or compliment our atmosphere.…

But it is without question the most important Armenian restaurant in the world. Armenians are simultaneously a diaspora people, a people of the book, and an old country people. Therefore, odd as it may seem, it is entirely appropriate that the most important Armenian restaurant in the world should not be located in Armenia at all, but should serve a diaspora community in a way that makes them feel connected to home, both interns of cuisine and in terms of communal warmth. Technically, this is more of a Lebanese restaurant than an Armenian restaurant, but that hardly matters. It's a place of celebration, merriment, laughter, and tears. In short, it is THE gathering place for Armenians in Southern California. Because of its fame and importance, the thing that is consistently overlooked about this restaurant is just how excellent the food is. Bring a Lebanese expat here and you will invariably hear them say after the first bite of hummus that it doesn't compare to the hummus they used to enjoy in Beirut. That's not all, tip will also be requested when checking out. Our Visit: My family and I have visited Elena's before and had a good experience, which is why this visit was so disappointing. This time, we noticed a clear drop in food quality, portion sizes, overall service and an unexpected new surprise on the bill. I came in with my wife, our two young children (10month old and 2 year old), and my mom. Unfortunately, the pita bread was stale, a portion of my wife's chicken was undercooked, the portions were noticeably smaller than before, and the server completely forgot my mom's drink. Those issues alone were frustrating, but what really stood out were the added fees at the end, fees that were not charged in the past. We were charged a 20% "large party fee", along with an additional "service fee". When I spoke with the owner, he explained that their system automatically applies a large party charge to any group of 4 or more people, including babies who don't even order food. That threshold seems unusually low, especially since most places consider 6 or more a "large party" and from my experience typically don't consider babies 2 years and younger as occupants. Even more concerning, none of these fees were clearly communicated to us beforehand. Being surprised with multiple charges at the end of a meal feels misleading and leaves a bad impression. To add to that, after already including these fees, the payment process still prompts customers to leave an additional tip. I've only seen this type of fee structure at higher-end restaurants and for more people, not at a casual spot like this, and even then it's usually disclosed upfront. If a business is going to charge extra, the service and overall experience should reflect that. My recommendation for Elena's, if you want to make more money, just raise your food prices so your customers at least know how much they're going to spend at the end. Not slap surprise charges at the end and force your customers to pay. On a positive note, at least they were playing Fast and the Furious on their TV. PLEASE CHECK YOUR BILL. Please be aware of their shady business practices.
