First time here and honestly was pretty delicious. I had the veggie omelet and it was full of veggies and was flavorful. Not runny and gross like other places have. The waffle with bananas and strawberries was excellent and the coffee was good. Their menu is huge which normally is a red flag since the old saying "Jack of all trades and master of none." My son and I commented on how there was some fear of this but the food was very tasty. I'll definitely be here again. I did notice they added an 18% fee for a party of 6 and almost added another 20 percent until I noticed the fee already included. So be wary of this if you come in a group. Service was good but only refilled my coffee once. After that no one really came by to offer another refill. read more

Parking is scarce and it'll be a task to find street parking but well worth it! Walking to the hostess, posted at the door, shared that i was a party of 2 and was quickly sat (even though it looked crowded). While waiting for my companion to come from where they parked, staff was so attentive, checking in on if I wanted water and asking how my day was. Felt quite personable. Only indoor seating available, mix of booths, tables, and bar seating. Seems its best for parties of 5 or less but I suppose tables can be pushed together for larger parties. The menu is available on a QR code and there are a variety of options, ranging from breakfast to lunch. Had trouble deciding on one because everything sounded amazing to have! The drinks centered on lattes, teas, lemonade, or juices. No alcohol options. I stuck to water. To eat, I had the lox benedict with a side of hashbrowns. It was beautifully composed and I enjoyed the tangyness of the hollandaise sauce. Had a taste of my companion's beabea's omelet which was so flavorful. We then shared a green tea monster pancake. A pancake flight is absurd. But most likely the best decision you'll make for brunch. I've seen this spot PACKED for brunch on the weekends and thought it's time I tried. Bea's Bea's specializes in American comfort foods boasting a wide array of omelette, eggs Benedicts, sandwiches, pancakes and French toast to choose from. Of course, I ordered the pancake flight as well as their strawberry French toast with eggs plate. Portions are massive and definitely worth the value. I absolutely loved the Blueberry Hawaiian flavor and Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, the Thai tea one was a bit too sweet but I loved the idea of it. The staff are the sweetest and I had such a great time. Highly recommend coming out and trying this spot out! Do take advantage of their spacious outdoor patio too! I asked for a pancake sampler that I saw on YELP, and they said it's part of their secret menu where you get to choose 3 of your choice (thought they pick the flavors for you) - so what a treat. We picked the Apple Cobbler, Lemon Ricotta, and Blue Hawaiian - pancakes were light and fluffy, GREAT BATTER. No complaints on the FOOD at all. *Customer service on the other hand was lacking - we didn't know they didn't use menus until someone came by and said they only use QR codes (totally fine but wish they mentioned it when seated). Had to ask for lemon amd straws twice. We were never checked up on- had to flag someone down for water and coffee refills AND when I was finally able to get someone's attention to ask for to-go containers, they came to the table to acknowledge the request - then completely ignored it. It took about 3 tries to get someone to look our way and get what we needed, including the check. Would I go back here? most likely - food's good. BUT they have to work on their customer service. Bea Bea's is located on a corner with outdoor seating conveniently covered by the edge of the building. The only negative is the possibility of the blasting of horns from impatient drivers at the light. While it is not listed on the menu, they still offer a DIY mini pancake flights of 3 flavors. But we decided to go with the full stack of Green Tea Monster $19.95 and Grilled Veggie Frittata $20.95 for a hit of vegetables, which came with side. The day's only potato option being home fried potatoes. I was a bit afraid that we might be forgotten, having opted to being seated outside. But no fear! Terrible service. Upon arrival we requested a menu as they had a scan code as menu and they advised we had to use the scan code there were no menus. My mom is elderly and wanted a menu that was the only reason we requested. I ordered the French toast. Not great by the way and as we are waiting for our order we notice not one but two tables with menus in hand ! I asked the waitress and she said oh yeah we have 2 or 3 did you still need one ? We already had placed our order by then. No utensils for us we had to request. Flavored creamer available we only got half and half. We asked the employee that delivered our food for some. When I say I would not come back or recommend this would be the perfect example. We had chosen this place based on reviews. I was extremely let down. After hearing many people sing their praises, I knew I had to plan my errands specifically around this location and restaurant. Immediately when I walked in, it seemed to be very nondescript, and I wouldn't have known where I was if I didn't know, as there was no decoration and nothing exciting about the setup. There also wasn't really a specific area for guests to wait to be served, and no one seemed to be around to help. One of the two waiters, I believe, informed me I could sit anywhere, and I was thankful I received a handheld menu as the service was awful. It probably took over 15 minutes for the other waiter to notice me, and she finally took my order haphazardly while I'm seeing a lady who sat at the counter seating after me already receiving service and water from the first waiter. While the menu had lots of options, what really struck me was the overpricing of the items, specifically the bread items, and many other things seemed to be à la carte. Paying $25 for pancakes and sausage from a breakfast place seems a bit absurd compared to other breakfast places of higher caliber around Los Angeles and California as a whole. The service never improved, and it was definitely an extremely disappointing experience overall. While I understand they may have been short-staffed as the restaurant was pretty full with only two servers, with one working the food also, it didn't feel good to receive such inattentive and just unprofessional service from them. Hopefully there weren't any racist undertones involved but it makes you sit back and reflect as I was the only African American there. Absolutely delicious! My friend and I were in the area and she recommended that we try this place because it's one of her favorite diners. I ordered the Pooh's breakfast with a side of coconut sesame gluten free pancakes and it was AMAZING! The eggs and sausage were standard but the gf pancakes were soooo good. You can't even tell that they are gluten free - soft, pillowy, and with just the right amount of bounce. The sesame flavor was strong but not overpowering and the coconut added the perfect balance. This place is GREAT!! My daughter and I sat out on the shady patio and ordered the house latte, matcha latte, tutti fruitti crepes and huevos rancheros. Everything we ordered was delicious and our food and beverages came out quickly too. We ate here while my car was having some routine maintenance done down the way so we took our time eating and catching up here till the car was ready and didn't feel rushed at all. A Breakfast Experience That Left Me Feeling Low I usually start my mornings with a good breakfast and an even better vibe, but this place missed the mark entirely. The food itself? Decent. But the service? It carried an energy so grumpy and disengaged that I left feeling worse than when I walked in. And at 8:30 AM, when the restaurant was only about 50% full, there was no excuse for it. From the moment we sat down, the vibe was off. When we asked a staff member about an item on the menu, she looked at us blankly from two tables away--didn't move, didn't respond, just stared. It wasn't until our actual server came over that we got any answer, and even then, the first staff member just turned and walked away, completely apathetic. Later, I asked our server if I had somehow offended her, only to be told, "That's just not her job." Apparently she is not a server. Which...what? How is answering a simple question not part of working in a restaurant? When our food arrived, the servers didn't even bother placing the plates properly, just setting them on the table's edge without a word or even checking whose order was whose, without a single word they both turned around a left. The silence was almost comical. It felt like they had picked up on my earlier comment and collectively decided to ice us out. I've been an Elite Gold Yelper for close to 8 years, and I can confidently say that places like CiCi's Cafe, Cafe 21, and Castaway have never left me feeling this down before my day even started. Dining out is about the whole experience, not just the food. If that wasn't the case, people would just eat at home. Common courtesy isn't a luxury in the service industry--it's a basic expectation. So I have been here on three different occasions. Two during the week day and one on the weekend. The staff is way more attentive during the weekday which is understandable because they were packed on Sunday. I just don't think the food should lose its value/ quality or artistic appeal. My latte was not filled to the top and no leaf design. I don't mind it since it just the drink but the food taste and presentation was very bland. Minimal effort shouldn't be a staple. They literally just put like a Kraft square cheese slice on top of the omelette. Consider shredding or just not adding it! It just proves the lack of effort and quality. The female hostess wasn't liking her job. It just gives a sense of and seems like this is a family operation and it feels like a forced obligation to work here because the staff don't even smile or have that carisma a waitress or waiter would have to earn tips. Don't get me wrong. I did tip but my mother was mentioning they didn't deserve it and she's the really nice one in the family! So that right there, made me write this review. Not to mention I was actually excited to share the spot with my mom for brunch. Sadly, it was very disappointing and embarrassing. I did ask who was the owner and was told one of the guys in the back with a cap but there were like three!?! I wasn't going to bring it to his attention on a busy day but I do hope he reads this and maybe share with your staff that they shouldn't look so miserable while being in customer service industry as it's important to have hospitality. Maybe they need a raise or break?! Who knows because I think I wont be returning. Plus, parking was a nightmare and since Starbucks drive thru is across the street and alley was just packed and blocked to use any parking nearby. This is my first time at this location. The hostess area is on the Central Avenue entrance. We walked in around 9:30 am on a Holiday and lucked out to get a table for 6. This is the advantage to the Burbank location as it can accommodate parties over 6. The modern decor is stark. As the morning progressed the tables filled and the waitlist grew. The service was sporadic, but the food came out hot. The food is great, the waffle is crunchy and light in side. The whipped cream is handmade and toppings generous. Heard so many nice things about this place ... decided to give it a shot ....now I can't seem to stop eating here ! Their service is great and they are always checking up on you which is pretty nice especially if you know what you want and aren't indecisive. The menu is a scan menu on the table , they also have regular menus upon request . The food is really good , I usually get the Egg Benedict which is a hit or miss depending on who Makes it but the sauce on top is a perfect consistency and delicious. I love the pancakes which is what they are really known for so I highly recommend that as a side dish. It's gets super busy here but they are very accommodating , I recommend early Lunch time and early morning breakfast time as to Skip that rush , if you miss that window expect to wait . Two words: Matcha. Pancakes. I've been to Bea Bea's a couple of times and both of my dining experiences here have been pretty great! The first time around, I got a salad with shrimp that was hearty, generously portioned and fulfilling. During this most recent time, I came with my boyfriend during the afternoon and we were seated immediately. I opted for the Lox Benedict while he got the matcha pancakes (the Green Tea Monster) and I really wanted to switch plates with my boyfriend since I liked his meal more lol. Lox Benedict - 5/5. Very tasty, hearty and with a perfectly cooked egg that had a beautifully runny yolk. The portion of lox was fair, as was the amount of hollandaise sauce they smeared my dish with. The tater tots were also perfectly crispy and not too salty! I'd recommend this plate to others, for sure Green Tea Monster - 7/5. I'm normally not a sweets girl, and I definitely prefer savory breakfast vs a sugary one. However, there's something really special about the matcha pancakes here and they are ADDICTIVE. As much as I enjoyed my Lox Benedict, I definitely wished I ordered this instead because it was soooo tasy! It was sweet without being overly so, the pancakes were pretty big and it was just a comforting dish. Next time I'm definitely going to get this! I firstly want to say that the inside of this restaurant is very modern and beautiful, I really liked the aesthetic of the restaurant. Thankfully there was no wait and we were just able to sit down right away, I know that this place can get very busy as well. Let's talk about the food, the food was very good and it completely caught me by surprise. I got the loco moco, which is gravy with 2 eggs, rice and a hamburger patty on it. It was good, however I wish that there was more gravy or they were able to give me a side of it. Black sesame pancakes were so rich and delicious! Strong black sesame flavor in the pancake batter, the black sesame and coconut cream on it were creamy and excellent. I came here today with a friend after a morning hike. The food, atmosphere and service was great. We were seated right away. The waitress was very prompt and friendly. I ordered the early bite burrito and house Latte. The burrito came with sour cream, guacamole and salsa on the side. I was pleasantly surprised by the burrito and Latte. The portion size were good. My daughter wanted to eat here before going to the movies and it was a great choice. I definitely want to come back. We parked for free at the 90 minutes lot. Not too long of a walk. Definitely worth a walk for free parking. There was a short wait, but we looked at the menu while we waited for a table. My one complaint though is that they didn't have any menus, you have to use the QR code which I HATE WITH A PASSION. If you don't have very good eyesight, looking at a menu on your cellphone is a pain in the ass in my opinion. My daughter thankfully helped me out. MANY choices to choose from, but I was in the mood for an omelet. Finally got seated and we placed our order right away. Didn't take long to get our food which was great. I was disappointed though with the size of my omelet. It was quite small compared to other places where I've ordered an omelet. Don't get me wrong, it was good, but I still felt hungry. Thankfully my daughter shared her trio of pancakes with me. I didn't like the Thai tea pancake though and I LOVE Thai tea, but I would definitely pass on that flavor for pancake. My brother found this place when we needed a breakfast spot in Glendale. Cute place with a large breakfast menu with some really unique pancake options, as well as some of the standards. I went for the Momo, unique in that the beef patty was spicy. One had the oatmeal, one had an egg white omelet. The portions are generous and everything was very tasty. Service was quick and friendly, the restaurant is open and airy with a nice large outside area. The only negative was the very dirty sound dampening panels hanging from the ceiling. I've been a long time patron at CiCi's and BeaBea's Burbank for many years. It was my first time visiting the "new" Glendale BeaBea's and it did not disappoint. The host (young Korean guy) was very quick and accommodating. Service in general was very good and quick. The restaurant is much cleaner than the other two locations (CiCi's and BeaBea's Burbank) however you have to find metered street parking. Cost isn't too expensive but not too easy to find a spot and parallel park. We found a spot right away and I have no issue parallel parking so it was all good. Now onto food, their portion is very good and despite having literally about 100 items on the menu, food came out pretty quick and not expensive for today's standard (9/14/24). My go-to omelette "Mama Bea omelette", Berries & Banana French Toast, Cobb salad, Turkey Club sandwich, 2 coffees, 1 hazelnut latte, 1 fresh squeezed OJ. My bf and I had one of our first dates at the Burbank location and didn't even know they had a Glendale location! We had other plans for the day but one of them didn't happen so we ended up trying this location. We sat down almost immediately. It was a VERY hot day and unfortunately the air flow wasn't great inside. Idk if their AC was broken or just too hot in general that it wasn't cool at all inside. They have a nice patio area but we sat inside thinking it would be cooler. The waitress took our order and food came out pretty quick. Food quality is great, just like their other location. I always love their strawberry, banana, Nutella crepe so I went for that while my bf got the club sandwich. I honestly like this location much better since it's bigger and more spread out! I think the only issue may be parking? We parked a few blocks down and had to pay at a meter so I'm not sure if they have their own lot or anything.
