The view of Venice makes this spot special. It is located in a beautiful hotel. However, while the food is okay - just okay - the service and awkward table placement make for an uncomfortable dining experience. There are better meals to be had in Venice at a far better price point with more pleasant and skilled service. While our glasses of rose were lovely, the dishes we ordered were not good values or particularly redeeming. The service was slow, lackluster, and without warmth. Skip this place & take a water taxi into the city center.

OUTSTANDING This great restaurant is completely off the tourist path on the separate island of Guidecca. Well, not completely off the beaten path, because it's in the Hilton Molino Stucky!, but this Hilton is across the water and a special boat ride away from all the action in city center. Our meal here was fantastic. The Porcini Ravioli special was to die for and the Basket of Mixed Fried Fish & Potatoes may sound ho-hum, but it was quite the opposite. A signature dish here, I think. This is truly an excellent restaurant. It may not be worth a special trip away from the heart of Venice where there are so many fine places to dine, but if you find yourself on Guidecca, this is the place for you.

I still night - beef special

Incredible food! Great atmosphere and great service. And it is reasonably priced! Staying at the Hilton and didn't want to go out. This was wonderful...so good that I've eaten here two nights! Strongly recommend it. Had a beef special the first night and a soapstone dish with beef, pasta and veggies. Both were wonderful!

But what sold me was the fact that they specialized in Venetian Cuisine which I found intriguing.

Lots and lots of restaurants to choose from in Venice but this unassuming restaurant is a true gem…read more It's easy to miss as it's tucked in a corner right by a bridge. Once inside they have a couple tables with small window views of any gondolas passing by. We started off with a plate of lightly fried sardines topped with pickled white onions. The fry on the fish was super light and those vinegar-y onions were the perfect pairing. We cleaned that plate. The lasagna was well balanced with the meat, sauce, cheese. The squid ink pasta was chewy/al dente with a subtle touch of seafood flavors giving the cuttlefish. It was very umami but nothing too overbearing. Delicious! It's a Family business that was been around for many years. Grazie to the friendly staff and chef!

I am so sad to give this restaurant such a poor rating after visiting many times during the last 20…read moreyears and loving it before. The jovial mood with the waiters with big personalities is gone. The menu you can find online is no longer available so you get a very limited menu to choose from--nearly entirely seafood. So if you have anyone in your party that just wants pasta with a red meat sauce or a non seafood lasagne, not available. We were a party of 8. Two people ordered the scallop appetizers. Pretty presentation on shells. 3 tiny scallops in the shells. More like an amuse bouche. Totally disappointing. The linguine with clams as an entree had clams so small you almost needed a magnifying glass to see them. Couldn't taste the clams and annoying to try to eat something so tiny , and just try to eat the pasta with all those tiny shells. The baby shrimp on polenta was actually good. But again the shrimp were like tiny hatchlings tempura battered. Tasted okay except for those that were soggy from the polenta that was very soupy. I wanted the gnocchi with crab which was on the very limited menu but no longer available. The alternative was gnocchi with a sea bass sauce which I chose but didn't like at all. The gnocchi were good but the sauce wasn't at all for me. We had to continue to ask for side dishes for the bread, butter, olive oil, salt and pepper. We will not return. Poor value for your money. Plus there is a cover charge and service included in your bill which was a surprise. Very sad to see our favorite Venetian restaurant decline so much.
