    Outdoor dining

Cute restaurant with lovely outdoor dining. Indoor space is cozy and has air conditioning. Service is fantastic! Super friendly and full of great reccomdations from the menu. We started with the burratta - which was fresh and tatsy. Then enjoyed the cacio de pepe and the carbonara both slightly salty - but the pasta was delicious. Overall a lovely meal in a beautiful setting.

Last night's dinner plans were for the Trastevere area just across the river from the city center. Bacco was recommended to us by someone in our hotel and it did not disappoint. We had an early dinner so we skipped the appetizer and jumped straight to the main courses. My wife had the spaghetti with meatballs and they were quite good with a mild but tasty pomodoro sauce and Romano pecorino. I was torn between the Wild Boar and the Guanciotto but the beef won out. This was a slow roasted chunk of beef cheek cooked in red wine with celery, carrots, and onions and a mashed potato pie. It was one of the best meals that I've had this trip! Service was great and the atmosphere was as expected for patio dining. The Trastevere area has many restaurants and live entertainment everywhere. We saw lines outside many places that looked like local residents so I'm sure you could find a great place just by walking around and looking.

Bacco in Trastevere was my favorite place to have dinner when I studied abroad! The food is amazing, their wine list is extensive, and the service is unmatched. Ali and Razi were amazing! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend Bacco to anyone looking for quality service, good, and atmosphere. They are also very allergy aware and always accommodated.

The pasta dish I didn't order. I ordered Cacio.

Service was the worst I've experienced in Rome. We sat and waited on our waiter after he attended to three tables that were set before us and we had to ask to be served. After taking our orders, I received someone else's pasta. Not knowing any better, I began to eat it and realized it wasn't what I ordered. She was sitting beside me and the waiter never apologized that they made a mistake. I normally would give a pass but a female manager was standing and watching the waiters and never said one thing to us. Don't use the bathrooms--they are nasty!

Fantastic! A must when you are in the area! Do not be deterred if there is a light crowd. It was hands down the best Carbonara and Cacio E Pepe we had in the City. Second trip we tried the meatballs, they were divine. Great prices, great staff, comfortable inside and outside seating. One of the only places we visited twice on our 12 day vacation. Sorry the pictures were an afterthought

Came here late night and wasn't sure what to expect. Service was fast, food was on point and very attentive staff. Hats off to the young gent at front of house for excellent service. Will definitely return.

We were looking for Zi'Mberto in the plaza, but they were closed...so, we thought to give this place a try, as it was our last place in Rome. We were hoping for a good cacio e Pepe, and since the owner of this place was outside the asked him if he had a good recipe. He said "don't ask me about the food, ask me about the wine". Makes you question their food...we thought we'd give a shot with a few apps ...it was heavenly. We ordered 2 appetizers, rolled eggplant and artichoke. The "carciofo alla romana su purea di fave decorticate", was impeccable. The mashed peas were tasty and it complimented the artichoke perfectly! The pasta was decent. They made a pesto with arugula instead of basil, which was very creative. The spaghetti carbonara was a little salty, but the organic wine made it better! If you wanna try a yummy not so popular restaurant, I highly suggest this place :)

The most expensive dish was the least good - the 25€ duck breast. The flavors didn't come through, one end was dry and tough and the skin wasn't crisp. The grilled radicchio was good but oily. The deep-fried zucchini flower was large and succulent with a tasty batter but it was way, way too greasy. The frittata of mashed potatoes was a timbale of mashed potatoes with some tomato and chile in it - very pleasant. The waiter comped us bruschetta because the duck took 20 minutes to prepare. That was some of the best bruschetta we've had on this trip.

Beef cheek for €18. Strong flavor with a hint of sour

I had beef cheek for lunch. The flavor is strong and a bit sour, but it's good and special. The place is inexpensive for its quality. They have fresh orange juice for €3.5 and espresso for €1.5, which is cheaper than any place I've been to in Rome

A beautiful place to sit outside for lunch on a nice day. Had some excellent cacio e pepe!

Very nice place, not far at all from Ponte Sisto, and only a few blocks from our AirBnB, so we had to try it. I highly recommend the wines from their "wine preservacion" system, worth the extra bucks, was probably the best tasting wine we had in Roma. The pasta was very good, service was friendly and a bit slow, but they were busy. We ate outside and ordered off the Italian menus, not the English, so not sure how different they were, but I would return to this nice little spot.

Taglierini with rucola and pine nut sauce.
    Loris V.

The Osteria is located on a tiny square with not much traffic. The waiters are very friendly and helpful, but sometimes too zealous. As I wanted a small meal I chose the Taglierini in rucola and pine nut sauce. Although the waiter told me that it would taste stronger than genovese pesto, in my opinion it was not that much different. The pasta was cooked on spot that means not al dente and also not over cooked. It tasted delicious. Anyway a nice meal for under 20€ , a glass of wine included.

Just experiences this little awesome Restaurant whole site seeing in Roma. Had Manager pick our wine, which was excellent and paid 25 euro for it. My kids enjoyed the food and the server was very nice. Will recommend this place to try. Prices are good, food was great and would come here again!!!

Worst place and be very careful on the prices when ordering. They will add stuff. Look at your bill or ask for the price upfront

We asked for a table outside and the kind lady asked us if we had a reservation (oh oh). We didn't. No problem as we took our pick of one of the tables. Two levels inside with a small Bar in the back. Before we knew it, outside seating was full and inside also filled up-a good sign. We ordered a liter (ended up being too much but when in Rome...) of their house Red and enjoyed it. For starters, we ordered the Fried Artichokes (thick breading and will order the Roman style with garlic/vinegar next time), fried Zucchini and Suppli-Cacio Pepe. The Suppli was delicious and was enjoyed the most. For main, it was Pasta Carbonara (Guanciale )-Proper carbonara and the streak of not having a bad version of this dish in Rome continues. The sliced Beef with mushrooms was also delicious -super tender and thin pieces of beef (medium rare as requested). We asked if the Tiramisu was house-made. Our server answered, "yes, and I am the one who makes it." How could we not order after that?! One of the best Tiramisus we've had. Perfect balance of coffee dipped lady fingers with cream-delicious! Our Server was kind, attentive and full of hustle -she was covering a lot of ground. Don't miss this Gem if you are in the Prati district.

Already depressed knowing we were returning to the cold and fearful Minneapolis, we spent the day packing and wandering Prati. After drowning our sorrows at a few cocktail emporiums in the early evening, we walked into Su e Giu without a reservation close to 9:30. The two guys working the front showed us to a table, and we proceeded to have a perfect last night meal. Our appetizers and pastas were great, service was friendly, and I spent time reflecting on how wonderful Rome is, rather than thinking about our return to the fractured States. Su e Giu Cucina Romana is the perfect Roman restaurant to feel La Dolce Vita. It is a sweet life indeed.

I had possibly the most amazing chick food pasta a girl could imagine. Girls know what girl food is. The pasta in Italy is just better -obviously. But then put all sorts of girl flavors on it like Lemon and Orange, just lightly enough, zest with a small hint of cheese-..... omgosh. Yes, yes, and yes. Need my hubs to replicate at home. He is going to be busy trying to perfect this. Tagliatelle with orange and lemon parmesan. This was it. It was the best. Everything else we ordered was amazing as well. Wait outside. They don't have a sign telling you to wait, no server telling you to wait. You wait out there, wondering if you're in the right place, but then people stand behind you and you're like - oh! I'm here. This is the place. There are possibly 4 tables inside. It's small. I read about them being rude- we did not have that problem. In fact, they made a mistake and we kindly let them know we ordered something else- they corrected it and were nice about it.
