Estimate seemed reasonable but had some unforeseen circumstances and never had the work done. This summer, knew work couldn't wait and luckily, I had kept his estimate. I called him and instead of being annoyed or rude about me not calling him back last year, he was more than kind and told me I should have called him and at least he could have put something over the fan until it could be replaced. I have to say, his sincerity and concern was refreshing! I am a single woman and have had so many BAD experiences with contractors, it isn't even funny. Mr. Steimer was out within 2 days to reassess the problems and honored the year old original estimate. And then had his workers come out the same day because he said he knew rain was coming. The gentlemen, and I mean gentlemen that came to do the work were kind and hardworking. They worked without much of a break in stifling heat until dark set in, cleaning up as they went and my gutters they had to clean were terrible! Also, they covered the fan before they left just in case it rained before they could return. It was a good thing because it rained all day the next day. The following day, they came out early to replace the fan and finish everything. The rerouted downspouts look great and here's the best thing... I had been up late the night before, and these guys worked quiet as church mice and never woke me while they were working or woke me to pay them! This is class! So as soon as I finish this review I will be calling them so I can compliment and pay them. I don't write a lot of reviews... My mom taught me, "If you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all". Well, I have nothing but good things to say about Paul Steimer Roofing -and would highly recommend them! The repair was completed in a timely manner - exceeded my expectations. They also notified me of issues that my former roof contractor did, or in this case, did not do. Says he will come days and doesn't, then doesn't call/text or respond to calls/texts until you've blown his phone up too many times. Then he gives you just enough to get you off his back and then still doesn't follow through. Claims he has materials he doesn't and claims he had to special order things and won't provide receipts when asked. The store says other wise that things were in fact not ordered and what materials he did drop off are incorrect and are in stock in the store. He offered a refund, we will see if we get that. We have been down to studs since beginning of September. Oh and he punctured a hole through a wall and didn't fix it. It has been a nightmare trying to get the correct materials or a refund so we can part ways with him. We will see if we get the refund he said he would give, if not we will be taking him to court for compensation. ​

First, I would like to say the crew that worked on the house and shingle work is very good by…read moreBuccos roofing, but they won't correct problems they created, so I can't recommend them anymore. I had them install a new roof and gutters on my house last summer. The roof wasn't leaking or having problems just getting old. I had 4" overhangs along the sides of the existing roof. When they were installing the new roof, they informed me that they don't usually do overhangs anymore and asked to remove them. They are the professionals not me so I said okay. In the winter I do get icicles on the dormer but have never had a problem with the water getting into the house. This winter I had a small amount of ice buildup, much smaller than in the past. Because the overhangs were removed the ice reached the fascia and water was able to get behind it and leak into the house. I contacted Buccos roofing and they sent someone to look at it. They said I needed to add a gutter along the dormer to try and keep the ice from getting to the fascia. This is not an ideal solution, but I guess its workable. I was then told I would have to pay for this even though they are the ones that created the problem. They keep saying the roof was installed correctly and it is not there fault. If for over 20 years I have not had water get in then all the sudden it does because the overhangs are gone I would say it's there fault.

I got four estimates for replacing the whole damaged surface with new siding. It wasn't enough to justify raising my homeowner's insurance rate, so I was out of pocket. Bucco's wasn't the lowest bid, but it was near the lowest bid, and I felt like they were the most dependable and trustworthy option. I am very happy with my decision. They got all the work done in one day, it looks great, they cleaned up, and all the paperwork was online and automated. Timelines were reasonable and communication was excellent. They got the dumpster picked up early the next business day. I would hire Bucco's again.
