Eric's OLD FASHION drink! Not the usual!!
    Jim W.

A separate bar tucked in the Peppermill Casino near the Fireside bar. There is pub food, bar tops, tv with sports playing and a bar. Eric is a fun and smart bartender that had worked at the Peppermill other bars as long as I can remember, but it seems this bar is now his work home! He does create specialty cocktails, just ask him about them. Some beers on tap there, too. The laughs are complimentary! Overall, a little oasis to take a break from the casino floor to enjoy gambling in a more intimate setting.

Boisterous bartender Eric is tending the bar! He is knowledgeable, friendly and remembers us! He is very fun and very memorable. He makes a great Margarita on the rocks! Bright, marbled bar with tv screens. They serve pub grub, too.

Head to Backbar, if Erlito is there, ask him for his signature Blueberry Lemon Drop Martini it's killer!!

Definitely a Mexican vibe for drinks but hipster vibe for atmosphere.

Visited the Back Bar on a Friday night around 8pm. The hubs and I were walking around the Peppermill and actually stumbled upon it from the non-smoking area of the casino. We had noticed it advertised around the casino and were eager to find it because it looked like it might have awesome cocktails and a speakeasy type atmosphere. It definitely wasn't a speakeasy atmosphere, but was definitely hipster in nature. It felt odd because it was more of a tequila bar and the cocktails all included tequila but the food on the bar menu didn't match the cocktails. And of course all of that didn't match the hipster vibe. I was seriously confused and disappointed. Sarah was our bartender and she was a love. I wanted to hang out with her. I ordered wine because I don't like tequila and the cocktails were overpriced for a Reno casino. My husband had a beer. Such a bummer.

Second year in a row I've stayed at Peppermill Labor Day weekend. So I have had the opportunity to try a few restaurants in Reno as well as inside the Peppermill. This will sound crazy being that I'm the first and only person to yelp/review The Pub inside The Peppermill, but this little Pub has the BEST comfort food and bang for buck in the area. Sure you can get a decent steak at Bimini's or you can get some decent sushi at Oceano. But if you're like me and just want good food with a very casual environment, The Pub is we here to go. They have all the greasy fried, fatty, delicious food I love. I ordered majority of the items on the menu: Fish and onion rings/chips: this comes with four huge pieces of fried fish. The batter is perfect in consistency and flavor. The fries as well as onion rings I ordered were good too. Tuna Melt: this was my wife's choice. It's what the name says, cheese melted with tuna on toasted bread with French fries. My wife liked it, and it's the second year in a row she ordered it. Macho Nachos: the nachos are a huge serving, great for sharing. Buffalo Wings: if I was to knock any of the food it would be the wings, I would have preferred more buffalo sauce and the wings itself were over cooked. But still decent enough. Reuben Sandwich: this is my main reason to keep coming back to The Pub. It's a generous amount of corned beef along with sauerkraut, Russian dressing on rye bread. It's beyond good, it's comparable to anything you'll find in New York. The service is always friendly and accommodating. My server for the second year in a row was Eric, he is always funny and pleasant to be around. If only all people in customer service positions were as cool as him the world would be a happier place. For good food, laid back casual drinks and dining, The Pub is the best spot in Peppermill in my humble opinion.

We were a little tipsie and wanted bar food appetizer type of foods. What a great find. It's small. The menu is small as well. Service was slow. The place was clean and staff was friendly. Loved the spicy wings and the nachos. Perfect

This place has by far been the most consistent place in the casino for both service and food quality. Definitely our favorite place to drink and dine while we're here. Food is good portions, good prices and super consistent. Staff is great and always super friendly. Sorry, the only name i remember is Eric - but the 2 beautiful girls are just as pleasant and awesome. This place is such a nice gem and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Very small , small bar usually full . Seating small tables with 2chairs. 1table with 4 chairs. We had 3 people so we pulled a chair up a little crowded. The food however was good my son and I had the cheese Burger of one of the best. The wife had a Ruben she said it was good. They have a small menu bar food No kids allowed must be 21.

The Pub's short and concise menu!
    Giovanni A.

This is a small bar, it's pretty obscure. The service is excellent, the bartenders are very nice! The menu is short and concise. They have a pretty fun game called "Bonus Poker progressive." It's really fun, you win big if you play $1 every time. The drinks are really stiff & it's great to pop in to get a drink if the cocktail waitresses are delivering drinks slowly. They have amazing fries for only $2.69, they're piping hot and really fresh! They for some reason have better tasting food than Cafe Milano which is 100'or so feet away. They have a sweet drink special called "Blue Dream." It was sweet but delicious! This is a great side bar to go to for a stiff drink and a snack.

Does this look like a 'pub'?
    Shannon L.

What happened to the pub? If it weren't for Eric the awesome bartender, we wouldn't be back. The Pub used to be a dark bar with great burgers and reubens, tucked away and hidden-making you feel at home and comfortable. Now it is bright, with florescent lights and mirrors and cheap looking gold feather decorations now replace the tvs & sports games. The food is the same but the atmosphere is gone. Bad move Peppermill.

While they still had their Holiday drink specials menu, the server did confirm they have 2 for 1 mimosas and $6 bloody marys. The Prime Rib burrito was so tender and juicy with a fried egg in the middle, definitely a special item for sure. It was slathered in a korean style sauce. Traditional viet sandwiches typically use grilled meats without any sauces. The condiments. This is where both Twisted and traditional are similar and different. Shredded carrots, daikon radish, cilantro, mint leaves are similar. What's different is the heavy use of shiracha aioli in the Twisted and traditional using pork liver pâté with mayo. So am I saying the Twisted Bahn Mi is bad?
