Hummus with veggies, mozzarella balls, & potato wedges.
    Mariana G.

We took a chance and stopped at this quaint tavern for a date night. We sat down and they brought us water almost immediately. The ambiance was charming and inviting. For appetizers there was a deal going on for 3 so we tried the hummus with veggies, the potato wedges & mozzarella balls with their sauces all made in house. Each one amazingly flavorful. I had a burger with fries and the meat was juicy and fries were perfectly crispy. This place definitely has some great sauces to pair with each food. We will be coming here again in the future.

Clubhouse sandwich w/o ham or Swiss w/ fries. Shrimp po boy with broccoli & carrot soup.

Found this spot on Yelp while looking for lunch in the Reno area. The food was so good! Service was amazing! Shout out to our server, Emily for helping me choose my lunch today. She was spot on! Very knowledgeable about the menu & helped me decide on the shrimp po boy. It's so good! Huge! A little spicy & cronchy! I got the soup of the day as a side-broccoli carrot. Very tasty & fresh but a bit heavy on the flour. My other 1/2 got the clubhouse sandwich & left off the ham & Swiss with fries as her side. She absolutely loved her sandwich! It looked so good & very fresh as well. I definitely helped eat some of her fries dipped in their yummy ranch. The fries taste handmade. They were sooooo good! Devote in here is very country with lots of horns on the walls & some games to play. Restroom a was nice & clean...whole place was. I would definitely recommend coming here when in town.

Lol the drinks I got tasted like straight water, and I made sure to order something strong. Both drinks were trash. Had to drink enough just to finally find the Don Julio I paid for. Nothing but two expensive cups of water. Asked them to take it back and they said I drank too much already.BITCH WHY IS WATER SO EXPENSIVE Then I ordered another drink I know a kid could've made better. So if you're going here, be prepared: they'll cheat you out of what you paid for and make you feel crazy for noticing it. I didn't even make a big fuss about it -- just paid the bill and left -- but the service was so-so and it was maybe 10 people in there. Place looks nice though. Nice outdoor space.Trash drinks. So-so food. Cool atmosphere. If you want to get played out of your money and have them do it with a smile, this is the place for you.

Big horn burger w/o the bun

I absolutely adore this spot. I came in for dinner and had the best experience. No wait.. both servers were attentive and extremely friendly. It's a small town feel that makes you feel right at home... even eating alone I had the quinoa salad to start. omg! This is so good! The sweet potatoes and the kale pair well . The dressing pops this whole dish up ! Red crispy radishes and loaded with kale and quinoa.. this salad is now my new favorite!!! Next I had the Big Horn Burger with no bun and a soup instead of fries. The soup was phenomenally seasoned work flavors that are what makes comfort food great! I enjoy my burger medium rare.. more on your rare side. And they did not disappoint! The house made pickles and fresh patties really set this burger on top for me. I had the big horn Manhattan which was absolutely smooth and bold with a great heat that reaches your heart.

9/11/25 FYI. Dinner time!! Prime rib special & 3 appetizers for $15 HH. Plus our HH beers, Parley Reds

Note to self - Do NOT order the fries, they have been soggy my last two visits! Update - This would have been a 4 star review if someone told me why my Prime Rib Special was $22? A price increase or because I got fries instead of a potato...? Quality/Quantity - Been craving red meat for a while. If you are following, you know I have been eating healthy, too healthy... So I am here for that $20 Prime Rib special! See pictures. Prime Rib Special - Cooked perfectly!! Interesting cut, someone cut this slice diagonally, so one side was thicker than the other. Either way, it was cooked perfectly! Swapped out my baked potato for fries but kept the veggies. The au jus sauce was interesting, I can not describe it. It was not bad or good, just different from what I expected. I amazingly, as a light eater, ate the whole meal, and with TWO beers to wash it all down. Guess going to the gym 3-5 times a week is building an appetite? Or is it that I eat too much salad and am starving?!?! Oh, my fries were soggy, again.... My wife got the 3 appetizers for $15; she orders the same appetizers every time. She felt the sliders were dry and the taco meat had little flavor. She always enjoys the pickled cabbage and her chicken tenders. Atmosphere - Small indoor space, but plenty of outdoor seating (it was a cold evening today). I feel a beautiful outdoor space. You just need to turn on the fire pits and outdoor heaters. Darts, shuffle board, pool... but no one is playing?!?! Are those for decorations only? Or to be used on slow nights only? See pictures. We got here right before the rush at 4:58pm. At 5pm, the prime rib specials start. Plenty of mall parking, just be careful if you have a big truck as the parking spaces are small. Open 7 days a week from 9am to 10pm or midnight. Service - Good, considering how busy they were. Levi did a good job "manning" the bar and bar tables. Plus making all the drinks for the rest of the restaurant. Price - $50 + tip. Expensive for happy hour, but worth it. Well, except for not knowing why there was an extra $2 charge for my $20 ($22) Prime Rib Special?!?! Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2011, we are customers at both your locations. But to be honest, we prefer the Lakeside location.

I came here on a Thursday around 5 PM and it was already pretty busy, but the atmosphere was lively and fun. They have a lot of healthy options on the menu, which was a nice surprise compared to typical fried bar food. I ordered the veggie wrap with steak and a Caesar salad. The food came out quickly, and while the Caesar dressing was a bit too bitter and acidic for my taste, the veggie wrap was excellent. The ingredients were super fresh, the pickled veggies added a great kick, and the steak was juicy and cooked perfectly. The service was also great. The staff were friendly, and our server gave us an awesome recommendation for a blueberry rum cider. I don't usually drink but there was a happy hour special that was too good to pass up. The cider was smooth and fruity. It didn't have a strong alcohol taste either which was great. It was pretty busy. There were lots of TVs playing different games too. It was a bit noisy and difficult to hear the person across the table from me but it's expected bc it's a tavern. Overall, good food, great service, and a solid spot with a lively atmosphere.

    Chorizo breakfast tacos

Came here for breakfast and seated right away. Always love staring at the mix of decor. I ordered the chorizo breakfast tacos with potatoes. Portion size was good and it was tasty! The service was also great. Would come back again.

    Bbq burger
    Bridget H.

Not terrible, but not impressive either, the food was edible, just nothing to write home about. The place was busy when we arrived, and we opted to sit outside. The patio is actually really nice, plenty of seating options whether you want sun or shade, and the staff was attentive and friendly throughout our meal. Unfortunately, the food just didn't deliver. Both my friend and I ordered burgers. My bun looked like it had barely touched an oven, and overall the flavor was pretty bland. The fries were unseasoned and forgettable. My friend's BBQ burger had great presentation, but also lacked any umf in flavor. The last guest at our table went with pancakes and eggs, and to be fair, those came out fine (hard to mess that one up). Overall, it's a decent spot for a drink or a casual bite, but the food could definitely use a boost in flavor and attention to detail.

Had brunch this morning at Bighorn Tavern-love that they serve till 1:00! Pineapple mimosa was delicious as is everything from their bar. We had the French toast with strawberries, eggs Benedict and jalapeno cheddar cheese bagel. Everything was delicious! Service was great. We ate at 11:00 on a Sunday and they were very busy but staff was handling the crowd like pros. Highly recommend!

Omelet. Added spinach, cheese, bacon and sausage.
    Marybell R.

I usually rave about this spot--food is always tasty, drinks are good, and their happy hour is worth planning around. But this visit was a little off. Ordered a mimosa and a Diet Coke, and after about 20 minutes realized they were just chilling on the bar... looking thirstier than me. No one brought them over, so I finally just walked up and grabbed them myself. Luckily the food saved the day--my BLT breakfast bagel was delicious (eggs, bacon, lettuce, tomato, the whole vibe). Service though? Definitely felt like it hadn't had its coffee yet. I'll be back because the food is always solid, but hoping next time the service wakes up with the kitchen.

    Scotch eggs
    Lorie N.

I picked this spot because it had beers for my drinking friends and we were looking for somewhere to eat near where we were staying (Grand Sierra Resort). *Scotch Egg: Boiled Egg wrapped in Spicy Sausage, Deep Fried, side of mustard. This is one of those dishes where your friends instantly order and then you ask them what it is. They meet your question with that look that says "You mean you don't know what a Scotch egg is?" I already love eggs in any way shape or form BUT tasting an egg that's deep friend encased in sausage? This was so good and there wasn't even a need to dip in the mustard. *Quinoa Salad: Roasted Sweet potatoes, Quinoa, Avocado, Radish, Kale, Sesame Ginger Dressing. I loved how they offer a salad like this which is a step away from the usual bar food. If you want to go healthy and still want something tasty and filling, order this. I'm already a quinoa fan and added the grilled chicken for protein. The Sesame Ginger dressing was perfect to go with it and paired well. *Sampler platter with wings, tater tots + spinach artichoke dip with chips- Solid bar food and we devoured this. I can't comment on the beers since I don't drink, but they were also good. The interior was spacious and the service was attentive and friendly. I'm keeping this on the list as a solid spot to come back to. There's also a big outdoor patio which is pet friendly as there were several owners with their dogs there.

We have been coming to Bighorn Tavern for years and love so many things about it. They have a great happy hour, including deals on snacks and beers, a delicious menu to choose from, a great rotating cocktail menu, and one of the best patios in town. We absolutely love the nachos and will come here when we are craving them because they are that awesome. The staff is friendly, and the ambiance is lively and cozy, especially when DJ Trivia or sports are happening.

Great Outdoor dining option in Reno
    Peter H.

A great local Bar with an amazing back patio area for outdoor dining. I've come here so many times over the years, I don't know how I've not reviewed it before. A family run business, I've always appreciated the service and hospitality that the servers and bartenders provide. One thing I love about Bighorn is that they have good Breakfast, lunch and dinner so it's always a good option when you need a go to dining spot. I've tried several different items and all have ben good. My most recent visit was for breakfast, I came with a big family group and seeing everyone's breakfast was difficult as there are so many good options. I got the breakfast burrito which was good, the pancakes also looked good. A great local staple of Reno, highly recommend stopping in for a visit if you need a good dining spot!

What types of tacos are served on Tuesday? Do they offer the fish or tofu along with regular meat options?

Not sure about tofu or fish but they do have delicious veggie tacos on their main menu. I can't remember specifically for Taco Tuesday what they offer but the veggie tacos are BOMB.

Until this 4th of July weekend (250/2026) we had never heard of Archie's. It was recommended to us and we stopped in on Sunday the 5th for lunch on our way out of town. What an amazing choice. I ordered their bacon cheese burger. Guess what? It was GIANT. It was delicious. It was perfect. Comes with fries but I got onion rings. The onion rings were perfect too. Largest order of rings I have ever seen. The burger (1/2 Lb I think!!) had nice thick bacon in every bite, two large and fresh slices of tomato, a big old slab of an onion slice, mayo and lettuce. I can't remember if there were pickles. It was the best burger and onion rings I have eaten in at least ten years, maybe 20. We will be back, EVERY time we are in town from now on. I can't recommend this place enough. Special shout out to David, our server. This guy made no mistakes. Laughed at all my stupid dad jokes, was attentive, patient while my companions changed their minds 36 times, and was friendly too. Says it was only his 2nd day on the job, but I wish he had been working for us at our restaurant (Hokkaido Noodle House) in Sacramento. He is a pro already, give him reasons to keep working for you boss. Don't worry, we won't steal him from you, we are retired and closed our joint 10 years ago. Rock on Archie's! Was surprised it had a second floor with a small deck and pretty decent views! Big place. Great Happy Hour Deals (half off drinks) and other specials. I haven't eaten breakfast there but the burger I'd put in the top 4 in Reno. It is giant diameter wise but the meat is the same amount of a smaller thicker burger which makes it no too hard to eat. I'd call this a Purist's Burger. Crisp lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, mustard, sauce. They went really light on the sauce to the point I didn't think it had any. Fries were excellent too. Price is very reasonable (that's typical near a college.) I've tried Royce, Juicy's, and The Parlor. I'd put Archies below Royce and Parlor but above Juicy's. Two left on my list are Armando & Son's Butcher Shop and of course Beefy's.

When we arrived, every table was full, so we grabbed seats at the bar. It turned out to be a great spot to watch the bartenders create beautiful drinks, including some of their signature cocktails served in a glass purse for parties of two or more. The atmosphere was lively and energetic, with groups celebrating birthdays and other special occasions. After looking over the menu, we decided on the lox crostini bites and the bruschetta. We each ordered a glass of sparkling wine. I added a chocolate rim to mine, which was fun to look at, although it didn't add much flavor. While we waited for our food, we enjoyed watching the flowing chocolate waterfall. Considering how busy the bar was, our food arrived quickly. The crostini were crisp, and both appetizers were fresh and flavorful. The only drawback was the volume of the DJ, but we knew what to expect as soon as we walked through the door. This is definitely a fun place for parties and groups looking for a lively night out. One last observation: I probably wouldn't choose this spot for a group of men. The décor and overall vibe are very much geared toward women, but the name says it all.

I tried the McIsley (fried chicken, dill pickles, ground mustard, honey) and nearly passed out from pure bliss. The biscuit is golden brown on the outside while warm and pillowy within. My wife tried The Chatfield (fried chicken, cheddar, bacon, apple butter) and was equally content. The Oregon Marionberry jam was a tart yet sweet customized side, and I much enjoyed the fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese to round off the plate. The breading is evenly blasted with seasoning and the tomatoes themselves are plump but not the least bit soggy. Without a doubt though, the service was unmatched.
