    Billionaire Burger
    Mike S.

What an amazing place! Went here for a mother's day brunch. We had a reservation and were seated quickly. I ordered Guinness and the pour was perfect. Also no bitter aftertaste, so they know how to maintain their lines The Billionaire Burger was amazing. Harris Ranch beef, local fried egg, perfect acids from the kimchee and pickles and superb bacon rounded out this organic burger But the fries really made the meal to the point where i ordrred a second order to go with my second pint! Service was top notch, too This restaurant is worthy of a Michelin Star!

Chicken tacos and the cabbage is a little pickled and a slightly spicy delicious flavor

Many places just don't have much to order for a vegan and my friend and I'm not and this is a perfect mix of both. Food was amazing, clean and healthy tasting. Small quaint atmosphere. Will definitely go again.

Still a favorite. The Korean tacos are delicious. For the last couple of years we have enjoyed sitting outside and watching classic cars driving by during Hot August Nights while munching on tacos and sipping on mimosas. Excellent service and food. Autumn was sweet and provided great wine recommendations.

This review is from 12/30/25. I've been to this restaurant on multiple occasions. This experience wasn't a positive one. Way way overpriced for a breakfast and service was very slow when it came to checking out table for water and coffee. The food was a 4 star but because of the price I had to give it a three star. No breakfast for two should be over $100.

The atmosphere is relaxing and easy on the eyes. Very comfortable couch-like seating. It's kinda small therefore, a nice intimate place for a romantic meal. My sandwich on the other hand, not so wonderful. The sliced deli meat was crumbling and falling out of my sandwich; I struggled to hold it together with 2 hands and trying not to put it down for fear it would fall apart. HEADS UP: they put bread & butter pickles on their sandwiches (they're sweet) I was not expecting a sweet pickle on my sandwich My caesar salad looked good and I could see salad dressing on it, but I couldn't taste the salad dressing, it just tasted like lettuce.

After eight years, I think it is time for an update. Our most recent visit was overall good. We made a reservation, but on a Thursday evening, it was not full. We were given a choice where we wanted to sit. Water and menus were brought right away. Kenyon our server, took drink orders and on returning took our meal orders. Overall service was good and our satisfaction was checked. I had the Tiger Prawns and Grits. My best beloved had Buttermilk Fried Chicken. Both were very generous portions. The prawns were very good. The grits were a bit runny (I prefer dryer grits) but tasty. My husband said the chicken tasted good, but was a bit overcooked. We shared a Tiramisu for dessert. We felt the food was good, but nothing swoon worthy considering the price. The atmosphere is cozy, but did not feel closterphobic. Is it worth a return visit? Yes.

I ordered the Vegan pastrami sandwich. They didn't ask me what I wanted for my side. They should ask because not everyone going want french fries. Fortunately for me, I did want french fries. The place is pretty interesting with ship decor. It's a cute little place inside. You can also sit outside. I do have to say it was a little pricey for my meal, but I don't eat much so my meal ended up being two meals. I'm super happy that they had vegan options and it was delicious.

We stopped in on a Wednesday after my sister/brother-in-law arrived to town. Overall, it was pretty good! Here is what we noticed: - Great atmosphere inside, with a very cool bar. We sat at a small table near the bar and there wasn't a single person in the place (we were there around 11:15am). - Huge menu. We picked Homegrown because we wanted to have both lunch and breakfast options. And, there were a lot of local beer options on draft. - My wife and I split both the Vegan Breakfast Tacos and the After School Special. The tacos were the best of the two entrees...very tasty and we also enjoyed the side sweet potatoes. The grilled cheese sandwich was pretty normal, but the tomato basil soup was especially good. - As we were the only folks in the place, service was very attentive. Our serve noted that she was fairly new to working there, and made one small error, but it was nothing problematic. Bottom line: We'd like to return sometime and try some other entrees, but we were glad we had stopped this time.

    Falafel- delicious!

My husband and I came here for a date night after searching which places in town had a vegetarian option with protein! They had a number of vegetarian options that looked yummy but I always appreciate the extra thought into making it have some protein. I had the falafel and it was very tasty. Lots of yummy elements. Hard to eat but I cut it all apart and dug in! Cozy ambiance and the service was friendly and attentive.

While the service was good and attentive and I like the atmosphere here. The pricing and the food do not justify a recommendation. I had the chicken and waffles the fried chicken was cooked ok but was like chicken strips and I was expecting to get a wing or a leg and a more flavorful breading. The brussel sprout side does not live up to what we are getting at gastro pubs these days they were not crispy and had a low quality balsamic drizzled. My partner got a burger which was not bad but over salted. The pricing doesn't make sense. I think the chicken and waffles was 33 and the burger 30 just over priced for what you're getting.

I love Homegrown. It's always a vibe, with great service and an amazing menu. I first tried it a few years ago while visiting, but now I live here and can go whenever I want! I took my girlfriend here while we were in midtown today and I couldn't wait any longer to review their Korean Street tacos. Huge portion for the price, easy to share but OH MY LANTA - mouthwatering!

Lots of oil in the tacos!

I really want to love this place - the interior is so vibey and chill and the staff is always awesome. But for the price you pay, the size and quality of food really doesn't match up for me. Their desserts are my favorite thing and well worth it! The menu is large but some options are only available at certain times (breakfast, obviously, but I'm bummed the sandwiches aren't available later!) I previously enjoyed the korean pork tacos from their small plates menu, the flavors are great, but this time the meat wasn't drained well and it was so oily/greasy it pooled so much it ran off the plate onto the table... and of course down my chin, yum! My boyfriend ordered the crab cakes from the small plates, and while yes, SMALL plates, we were shocked they were so small for almost $30! They were about the circumference of a dipping sauce container. The flavor was nice but $30 for a couple bites hurts. The order of fries we split was pretty sizeable for $14 (owie) but they're the small skinny fries so they start to get soft when piled up in a cup.

Korean tacos, Berrymore 75, Modelo, Enzo (pizza)
    Maxwell H.

Homegrown Gastropub was the most overpriced meals i have ever had for sub par food. We ordered the Korean street tacos and the Enzo pizza. The tacos were delicious but the pizza was lack luster. Neither were worth their price. We were there for Valentine's so our service was not great, however i have no frame of reference for a standard night. As for the atmosphere, it was dark and grimey and the bathrooms were disgusting. If you feel like paying $17 for Brussels sprouts and a cramped atmosphere with sub par food, go to Homegrown.

Shoutout to our main waiter Bryce! He was solid! He was extremely attentive and made it his mission to check up on us every few minutes and after we received our appetizers, entrees, and desserts. 10/10 service. We ordered 2 cokes, the crab cake, a bone marrow and a beef carpaccio to start, two beef wellingtons, the broccolini, and two sticky toffee puddings. Everything was delicious. The crab cake was dense and full of crab. Paired with their citrus aioli, it was chefs kiss. The beef carpaccio was amazing. The beef was tender and was topped with an egg yolk sauce that really brought the savoriness to the beef. The bone marrow was thick, well seasoned, and melt in your mouth delicious. The beef wellingtons were med rare and juicy. The root veggies were tender but not soft. The potato puree was smooth and creamy and the Demi glaze was the icing on the cake. It brought everything together. When we got our sticky toffee puddings, we thought they were a bit small but we were pretty full by that point anyways so we didn't mind. Just as we were finishing them, Bryce brought over two massive ones and an apology. Apparently there was a mix up and the ones we ate were for the tasting menu. So we ended up taking the big ones to go which was great because that meant dessert for later. Overall, the meal was superb, the atmosphere was lovely, the service was impeccable, the staff were friendly, and the vibes were solid. 10/10 would recommend. P. S. The riverside setting made for a relaxing atmosphere and was a great place to spend a summer afternoon. We started with the Crab & Salmon Cakes, and they were outstanding. The presentation was beautiful, and each cake had a perfectly crisp exterior while remaining delicate inside. You could clearly taste both the crab and salmon, and the slightly spicy aioli complemented them perfectly without overpowering the seafood. For cocktails, I ordered the Tequila Mockingbird, and it was excellent. The mezcal's smoky flavor came through clearly, almost reminding me of a good Scotch, yet it had just enough sweetness to keep it balanced. If you enjoy spirit-forward cocktails that aren't overly sweet, I'd highly recommend it. My wife ordered the Razz Jazz and later the Rosé All Day. She loved the Razz Jazz, describing it as refreshing, lightly sweet, and lemony, with enough alcohol flavor to remind you it's a cocktail without being overpowering. The Rosé All Day was another refreshing choice and perfect for a warm afternoon on the patio. For lunch, we ordered the French Dip and the Tri-Tip Sandwich. The French Dip was tender, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the rich au jus. The Tri-Tip Sandwich was loaded with smoky, well-seasoned beef on fresh bread. It was a bit richer than I personally prefer, but the quality of the meat was undeniable. The fries were a standout in their own right, perfectly crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, and seasoned just right. Wild River Grille isn't the least expensive lunch in town, but the quality of the food, expertly crafted cocktails, attentive service, and beautiful riverside patio made it feel well worth the price. Very well cooked, perfectly tender, and the Calabrian chili oil was perfect for adding some spice. We then ordered entrees, which included the duck duo and a Caesar salad. The Caesar is nothing to write home about. It's fresh and from scratch, but it's just a Caesar. The duck duo came with both duck confit and duck breast. The duck confit was unreal. So tender and so flavorful. The duck breast was a bit tough for my liking, but I really enjoyed the sauce they used on the dish. Most of all, I was shocked by how good the dessert was. We ordered the Imperial Japanese Chicken Wings, the Frenchified Burger, and an order of poutine. The star of the meal was the chicken wings with the wasabi ranch dipping sauce. The seasoned shoestring fries served alongside were also excellent. The burger was very good, but it was essentially meat, sauce, and cheese. I like a little freshness on my burgers, so I was missing some lettuce and tomato. Fortunately, I substituted a salad for the fries and ended up piling most of it onto the burger. Next time, I'll just ask for those toppings to be added. The poutine, however, didn't quite live up to the versions I've had elsewhere. I'm not sure if they used white cheddar curds, but they were almost completely melted instead of retaining that signature squeaky texture. The gravy was just okay, and I don't think shoestring fries are the best choice for poutine since they don't hold up as well under the toppings. Overall, I'd definitely come back--especially for the wings and another burger.
