what a lovely therapy clinic. they have a small location here in Concord, but i also noted they are local to Pleasanton and Walnut Creek i take my mother for her appointments, and the therapist(s) help out with her therapy, mostly for her arthritis. their staff always offers the best customer service with a smile on their faces. shoutout to Dr. Anita (sorry if i butchered it), who always takes care of us and keeps us updated with our progress inside, you will be greeted by receptionist, and the inside decor shows the staff, their commitments and the needed documentation you need for your visits the care quality is the best, the inside ambiance is neat, and we feel in good hands when we visit: we feel like we back on track with things read more

I've held off on posting this review for a long time and tried to move forward, but my experience still bothers me so much that I have to warn others to avoid this place at all costs. First, the receptionist needs additional customer service training. She came across as unprofessional and rude for all of my visits. Multiple times I waited for her to finish a person call, texting or scrolling on her cellphone before being helped. This was annoying, but not what I take issue with. My therapist, Prajakta, saw me for about a month before going away on sabbatical. (This is the only good thing about this place imo, that they let their employees take the time they need to recharge). However, while she was away I had a new therapist for every single visit, with only one therapist seeing me on two separate occasions. This didn't also didn't bother me either. When Prajakta returned, I had been about a month in recovery from surgery for the problem I was visiting their facility for. I explained I was scheduled for another procedure that scheduled for the following week and the doctor recommended I continue therapy. Prajakta, after visiting with me just the one time since returning from her sabbatical told me that I was all better and didn't need to schedule any further appointments, even with the info I just shared with her about having another procedure scheduled. This place does not care about their patients. They do not care if you still have visits approved through insurance. They do not care about Doctors recommendations/orders. And sadly they do not care if they have helped you or not. So that was my experience and I hope this helps anyone thinking of using this facility to maybe look elsewhere. read more

Cannot ask for a better customer service team- always happily responding well to calls. The office itself is situated on the ground floor great for those struggling with walking to enter the treatment room. Therapists treatments are tailored for most people save those in the rare illness category. Always stay on track with the signals the human body gives off. read more

Context: I myself am actually a licensed physical therapist, but I work in the hospital setting with mostly stroke patients. So when my friend got a really bad ankle sprain (both medial and lateral ligaments were sprained, and also had a bone contusion, bad injury while playing pickup basketball), I tried my best to do what I could to treat him, but I Just didn't know enough. So I referred my buddy to Patrick, a physical therapist here who has a good background in orthopedics/musculoskeletal injuries. Patrick did a lot of great education with my friend who knew nothing about his body (had a really hard time describing the issues he was having, also probably had acute on chronic injuries since he's a repetitively injured athlete), got my friend on a consistent exercise program. Now a few months later my friend is back to playing open gym volleyball and basketball! He said Pat made him feel heard, was very professional, and overall easy to work with. 10/10 would keep referring people here! read more

After having an arthroscopic surgery performed by Dr. William Workman (Walnut Creek Orthopedics and Sports Medicine - see separate review), I needed to have Physical Therapy sessions in order to recover my shoulder and bring it back to normal. Dr. Workman has recommended Back on Track for PT sessions, telling me that they have done a great job with all his patients. I took his advice, and called the Concord office, near Buchanan Field. From the very beginning I have been impressed with the professionalism of the two PT trainers assigned to work with me, Pam and Jared. Throughout of three months schedule of twice a week session, both Pam and Jared have been able to help my shoulder regain the range of movements and strength which I had prior to my shoulder surgery. They have established a plan based on my injury and surgery which took place. At the beginning of every session, the plan for the respective session was precisely explained, they asked questions based on the exercises given the previous session, and of course, they would explain each new exercise that they would introduce. As we progressed, both Pam and Jared took their time to ensure that my overall wellness would be on par with my expectations, and with the expectations / outcome of the plan designed for me. Each session has lasted around 40-45mins and has included either a cold or hot treatment for the surgical area. All rooms where my sessions took place were clean, well prepared ahead of our lessons. The reception desk staff has been awesome in helping me schedule new sessions as the time went by, they were very curteous and friendly. The back staff, helping the main trainers was always polite and helpful with the cold / hot treatment, always responding immediately to the end of the respective cold/hot treatment. The office is easily accessible from multiple directions in Concord, near the freeway. They have plenty of parking spots. All in all, the three months series of PT sessions with Jared and Pam have really helped me recover my shoulder's mobility 100% and have allowed me to go back into the pool and do what I love to do in summer - swim laps after laps. In fact, the first time I went back into the pool after three months of PT, I was able to swim 2000m - 80 laps in little more than an hour, without stopping and without any pain - see proof in the photo! Everything that Pam and Jared told me that will happen, actually happened and I cannot thank them enough for their help. As I never had to experience before PT, I can say that Back on Track in Concord, and the entire staff at this location has raised the bar to a very high standard. Should I ever need to have PT sessions again, there is only one place where I would go, and that is Back on Track in Concord. I highly recommend this location to anyone in the area who is looking for a professional team of PT experts who will do everything they can to help you with recovery after certain surgical procedures, and to regain your mobility / range of motion where applicable. RN here, in an Emergency Department, with a work-related back injury that kept me out of work for over a year. I've been back to work fully for over a month thanks almost entirely to Pamela. Her assessments were accurate, her strength and flexibility plans were doable and challenging at the same time. I was treated like an individual, and given steps to get to where I wanted to be. The location was clean, everyone wore masks, there was great parking...but mostly the level of professionalism and knowledge has me back to functioning fully as a nurse in my busy Emergency department, and I'm so grateful! read more

I went to Back on Track due to bilateral carpal tunnel that caused pain, weakness, and tingling in my hands and wrists. My physical therapist, Pamela, was amazingly kind and patient, and after less than two months, she helped me to reach the point of having no symptoms. The office staff and aides at Back on Track were also very friendly and nice. I would definitely recommend Back on Track and Pamela to anyone in need of physical therapy. read more

I've been to several physical therapists in the area over the years, and in my experience, Back on Track is the best PT practice in the area. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, caring, and know their stuff. They got me strong leading up to surgery and helped me recover and build strength afterward. Pamela is a wonderful physical therapist. She's very knowledgeable, and kept me on task and motivated to do my exercises. This is the worst experience I've ever had with customer service! After scheduling my appointment over the phone, the receptionist FORGOT to inform the specialist about it. At the time of my appointment, no one was there to help me. I drove all the way to Concord and the walk from my car was quite difficult because I was in severe pain. Amazing! Not only is the facility spacious, clean, and has tons of parking, but the staff are all helpful and nice, and my PT Pamela is the best. For the past year or so, I've been dealing with extreme rib and back pain. My rib pain was piercing, and every time it popped up, I would go hours where all I could do was lie on my back and breathe very shallow breaths, since moving or breathing exacerbated the sharp pain. It felt similar to rib fractures I've had in the past, and doctors have always just told me that the rib pain can't be fixed, so I just need to wait it out and let it heal. The back pain I was experiencing was all throughout my lower back, and I could barely twist, bend, stand or sit without it hurting and causing stiffness. First, I went to a sports medicine doctor about my rib and back issues. He told me nothing could help my rib, but sent me on to Back on Track to see if they could help my back. When I started working with Pamela, I was amazed by how knowledgeable she was, and how effective working with her was. She identified the source of my rib pain as likely due to my scoliosis. The upper scoliosis-- which I was not aware of previously-- was confirmed through an x-ray. The rib pain was therefore NOT due to remnant pain from any fracture. She gave me upper body strengthening exercises and stretches to do (and even identified the way I sleep as making the rib pain worse!). Now after about two months of seeing her, the rib pain that I experienced several times a week for hours on end, for the past year, is 99% gone. I occasionally feel a small twinge for about three seconds, but it's always fixed by doing my stretches and exercises. It was debilitating not being able to move or breathe for hours a day, and I am mad at every doctor before Pam who told me that my rib pain couldn't be helped. As for the back pain, my mobility has greatly increased, the pain is almost non-existent, and I have no issue walking, standing, etc. that was giving me so much difficulty before. All in all, the facilities are great, Pam is wonderful, and I couldn't recommend her enough-- and I've already recommended her to my dad for his back pain too! read more
