Not going to lie, Im extremely dissapointed in my experience here. I tweaked my neck & back so bad... Called and was told $50 for a new member exam & $50 to get adjusted. They told me that by phone, then the doctor also told me that once I got there. The doctor literally read my onboarding paperwork back to me (reconfirming my pain) ... and took x rays then said (we will go over this next time). No help at all... costed $100! They said I was too inflamed to work on me? Okay well then that should have been communicated when I walked in. You could've asked me when my injury was - told me to come back in a few days, instead of me driving here in pain, wasting $100... and getting zero help. Would not recommend I wasted my money. Also was scammed - because why tell me the adjustment is covered? And then tell me to return in 2 days and pay another 70? Disappointing. I already know they'll respond saying they didn't say that, when my girlfriend was sitting with me both times they told me I was getting an adjustment (the entire purpose of me coming here). I unluckily pinched a nerve on a Sunday before I even got to play any beach volleyball games. I had swerved my head to the left and BAM. Joint of pain. My friend and boyfriend both tried to massage it for me but it didn't go away. I went to sleep hoping it would go away. Woke up the next morning with the left side of my body more aggravated and miserable. I passed my day as an unhappy camper - standing up the entire day miserably in the same position to not aggravate my left side anymore than it should. Dr. Leland Ferguson, quite the simple name to remember, was recommended by my boyfriend and a couple of my friends. As I was in quite a lot of pain, I sent in something through the online website entailing a brief overview of what I was feeling and what time I was hoping for an appointment. I went in right after work and got to go in to see the Doc. I had to fill some paperwork out and show a driver's license as well medical insurance. I got a few of scans showcasing my back which I signed for on the form - and indeed it was a pinched nerve. I've been seeing Dr Leland for almost 2 years now and can honestly say it has been worth it. I play multiple sports and work out during the week so over the years tiny issues have slowly grown into larger ones. Dr Leland has helped me through each issue that I've had so far. Each visit I will describe the issue or issues that I've been having and how it happened. Dr Leland will then slowly work through the different causes and fix me in what I can only describe as black magic because fixing a completely different part of the body fixes my original problem. I'm a curious guy by nature so each time I ask the whys behind what he is doing and he isn't afraid to answer or give me vague descriptions. I ask for recommendations on exercises/stretches that could prevent the injuries and he is always willing to give his opinion. I've learned quite a lot about the human body and how it works (not anywhere close to him though) by going to him and it has helped me change my workouts to fix issues based on my lifestyle. His work in my opinion, is closer to a physical therapist than what people would normally consider a chiropractor. He has a vast knowledge base and his table side manners are great. I've referred a couple of people to him and each one has had similar experiences to me. There are so many factors when reviewing a holistic care office and rating from 5 stars doesn't really give the reader a good idea...but I went with two stars to reflect my personal reasons for not going to this chiropractor. I've been a long time advocate for chiropractic care and I have to say to Cee V. "one adjustment is def not enough..." but I do agree there may be a lil too much pressure about buying into the services. Dr. Leland is nice and all but he's just way too expensive. I have no bad feedback about his actual abilities but his cost is simply too high. He makes you commit to a very extensive adjustment plan, 2-3 times a week for me.. which was about $120 a week??? I'm not made of money, and he didn't take my insurance. So just based on sheer affordability... me thinks 2 stars max. read more

I've been an athlete my whole life and have suffered my fair share of injuries, but when out of nowhere I hurt my back I knew I needed to seek help immediately. My co-worker, who has competed in Iron Man Competitions, saw the amount of pain I was in and my struggle to even walk and immediately suggested that I go see Dr. Leland at Ohana Chiropractic because that was who he trusted with all of his back ailments. I had never gone to a Chiropractor ever before, so I was a little nervous but I'm so thankful that I listened. I called and they were able to get me in immediately. I was greeted by Dr. Renee who was very kind and caring and helped me out with all of the paperwork. Then I was carefully evaluated by Dr. Leland, who was extremely professional and trustworthy. I told him that I was in excruciating pain, that it was incredibly difficult to walk or even sit correctly, I was scared that I had something really wrong with my back. Upon knowing this information, Dr. Leland ran diagnostic tests and carefully evaluated my range of motion to get a complete understanding of where and what my injury was and made light but necessary adjustments to my back. After my very first visit, I was able to walk again and even stand upright, which was an extreme improvement from when I entered the practice. I would have 2 more follow-up appointments that week, and 2 more in the following weeks after that. Every time I left their office I would have amazing improvements in range of motion and relief from pain. By my last appointment I had made a 100% recovery. Not only did Dr. Leland help with my back issues, but we also discussed a previous ankle injury that was causing stability issues, and he recommended these wonderful orthotic shoe inserts to help with my overall balance. My workouts seriously have gotten so much better because of those inserts. I cannot thank Ohana Chiropractic enough for their wonderful service. My first chiropractic care happened in 2006 when I rolled my ankle playing indoor hockey at UCSD. It was my first time ever injuring myself and I didn't realize it was a sprain. I couldn't walk on it for 1 week, so I hopped on one foot during that week (this was my Senior year, last quarter at UCSD). Then, suddenly my other ankle gave out... by week 2, it was painful to walk on both ankles. The night I realized I couldn't walk on both ankles, I asked him if he worked with Sprained ankles. He said, "Yes." He offered to come by my dorm and take a look. He worked with me for about 40 minutes. He adjusted my ankles, and put some blue kinesiology tape to prevent it from rolling again. Then said, "Ok, walk from here to here." I said, "What??? No way. I can't." He said, "Trust me." Then, I got up.. and Walked my first steps on two feet after 2 weeks on hopping on one foot! I continued to get chiropractic care and replace the tape once/week for the next 2 weeks. I was able to walk across the stage on my graduation day!... (I was wearing blue tape on my ankles, but at least I didn't have to use crutches). Two days later, I didn't need the blue tape anymore. It healed properly! =) During that time, he educated me on the benefits of chiropractic care, which provided good posture, increased strength, and prevent injuries like carpel tunnel, osteoperosis, arthritis, etc. I've been getting care from Dr. Leland about twice a month since 2006, mostly because of the instant strength, release of stress, and burst of energy that I receive after a 15 min-20 min adjustment. He recently added the cold laser therapy this year, which pinpoints any area of my body that is not at the highest functioning and brings strength and increased flexibility instantly. Dr. Leland is a wizard of diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues with the bod. I have no idea how he does it, but it includes skill, compassion, and technology. He used to have an office a couple miles from mine. I hadn't visited him in a while, and he helped me tremendously recover from pain after a recent car accident. I feel almost good as new after a few visits. I really like his services enough that I'll take the detour to convoy. I like him personally because he's a trustworthy guy with a good sense of humor. My daughter came in with knee issues. She's had a problem with the muscles in her knee tightening up so bad that she can't move it for a few minutes and when she finally does, it stays sore for a couple of weeks. After my daughter hurt her knee so bad she had missed four days of school and couldn't walk or hop around on crutches because it hurt so bad, a good friend of mine recommended Dr. Leland so I gave it a try. After working on her for a few minutes, she could walk again! We went back a couple of times and she is all healed up. He even gave us some muscle strengthening exercises to help her not to have the issue again. This guy is amazing. I then went in to see him because I was having low back pain. The left side of my pelvis was sitting a little higher than the right. After a few visits, my pain has significantly decreased and I am confident that the issue will be completely resolved soon.
