Taylor through the online portal about three weeks ago. I am a new patient, and I entered all of my information during the booking process. At no point was I told that Dr. Taylor was not accepting new patients. Despite that, the system still allowed me to book the appointment, sent me through the process, and confirmed it. I chose Dr. Taylor at the Adams Avenue location very intentionally, because she is one of the few medical doctors there and many of the other available appointments appear to be with physician assistants. I arrived on time for my 10:00 AM appointment only to be told, after the fact, that I could not be seen because she does not accept new patients. That is not the patient's mistake. That is the clinic's mistake. A competent medical office does not allow patients to schedule appointments that were never going to be honored. A competent office does not wait until the patient is physically standing at the front desk to finally mention a restriction they should have disclosed from the start. And a competent office does not treat a patient's time as disposable because their own system is broken. This clinic needs to take responsibility for its own failures instead of pushing the consequences onto patients. If the online portal is inaccurate, fix it. If the staff knows certain doctors are not accepting new patients, stop those appointments from being booked. If management is aware of this issue and has done nothing, that is even worse. Patients should not have to pay for this clinic's disorganization with their time and energy. This was careless, misleading, and deeply unprofessional.

Signing up online for an appt was very easy and the text reminders were very helpful. I arrived 15 min early as suggested and checked in at the kiosk. I was seen by the nurse practitioner 2 min after check-in. She was very friendly and immediately asked how I do with blood. I said not good, so she insisted I lay down when she took the finger prick test. She kept asking how I was doing throughout, but shortly after she finished the test I did end up passing out...out of my control. The nurse attending to me and the nurse in the other room took great care of me as I came too, and had the paramedics already on their way. After that whole episode and a visit to the ER, one of the nurses called me the next day asking about how I was feeling after I left the clinic and hospital yesterday. I was presently surprised they did a follow-up and really appreciated that call. I'm sure I scared them a little, but I felt like I was in good hands throughout my time there. I'll definitely be going again for any quick tests or check-ups I need at this location.

I also watched her accept a patient who was over 10minutes late to their appointment. What sense does that make. Hate this place and hate how they run things, like you're better off telling people when they get there to make an appointment elsewhere if you want to be seen. Pop up to the second floor via the elevator, or stairs, and you have arrived. Due to a Christmas layoff, I lost my regular insurance back in December. Thankfully, I now have a temporary insurance that allows me to be seen at Hillcrest Family Health Center. Amen to that! I recommend making an early appointment, as this place can get quite busy as the day goes on. There is plenty of seating in the waiting room, but it's possible you could get an unfavorable seat, or not a seat at all. The young ladies at the check-in station have all been very nice, which is much appreciated. Also, there is hand sanitizer at the check-in station which is also "so fresh and so clean". Aside from the aforementioned, I've been really pleased with the ability to get an appointment with very short notice. Once I was able to make an appointment within 2 days, and another time I secured an appointment in about a week. Also, each time I've been seen, albeit early in the a.m., the appointments have been punctual. No waiting around leaving plenty of time to move on with my day. I also like that they have a lab that shares the lobby, making it a breeze to get your blood drawn after your appointment. I was able to knock out the appointment and the blood draw in no time. What I haven't been too fond of is the follow up on referrals. I was told that I would receive a follow up call about two referrals that were placed during my initial visit, but they never called. Thankfully, and more importantly, the referrals did get placed, so all I have to do is follow up with the referral locations. The other slight concern I had was that the NP that saw me during my initial visit, didn't really provide a very caring or investigative experience. What I mean is, it was more of a touch and go or check the boxes kind of interaction. To be fair though it was an initial visit and they are a traveling NP, so they sort of mentioned that I probably wouldn't see them again after the blood work. However, I did end up seeing them on my second visit, which was what I would call a more thorough and patient interaction, which I very much appreciated. Thank you for that. Thank you to everyone at HFHC!!! It's a tough job, in a tough economy, in a world full of madness, so I'm thankful for being able to have healthcare and get some relief. We finally had to leave because we had somewhere to be. From the moment we walked into this clinic, the difference was immediate. The staff was kind, respectful, and efficient. No attitude, no chaos, just people who clearly care. My son usually hates going to the doctor, but they made the whole experience quick and easy for him. We were in and out (including getting his prescription filled at the pharmacy) in under 30 minutes. I don't know if it was perfect timing or just how well they run things, but either way--I won't forget how well we were treated. Highly recommend!
