We also got to see some beautiful artichoke flowers. The staff there are really good with kids and taught them so much about plants and animals they have at the farm. It was an interactive experience and lots of hands on activities as well. You know how time flies when you're having fun; it surely felt like that.

Non have been able to provide any services, it's always some reason I don't qualify. What has the world come to where you need so much more than being homeless to qualify for services. I have exhausted so much money paying for hotels. The last hotel my family and I resided in the staff put us in a hotel room with a broken window because of their negligence my autistic son fell 4 story's and because so we are now fighting a CFS case for the past few months. My husband and I came to this organization looking to be able to save up for just a month while I continue school. Their reasoning for not helping us was because I had no connection with surrounding areas hello I'm homeless I have no connection with any area ‍ weird. They also said I couldn't go to school I have to be working which is also weird considering my husband already works, by going to school I'm working towards something more permanent for my family. Neither one of us does any type of drugs or drink, we are just a family who have been experiencing hard times that won't give up. We only needed 30 days to save up some money before our court date, finding a house is the last thing we need to complete before we can get the kids back and we were hoping to stay here for a month so we can save enough to cover move in cost when we find our next home.

With that being said, I paid $30 for 4 very large boxes of food. Half of that was garbage. This isn't my first time at a food bank so I know how it goes with giving food past the "expiration dates". I'm not a prude. Food is food as long as it isn't mold or smelly. But almost all the produce was slimy and moldy, dairy products were spoiled, and most of the meats were inedible once cooked or defrosted. I was able to make one meal out of it , a few side dishes for other meals, some snacks and random canned goods which probably equalled about what I paid. After having to do all the work of sorting and checking everything I'm not sure if it's worth going back to for us. If the owner or coordinator reads this then maybe consider working on the quality rather than the quantity.
