Communication is very little. I wouldn't step foot in this place again if paid. Staff, who claimed to be hotel management, was super unfriendly and rude. I would rather camp in my car than stay here. There is no staff on site and they make sure to let you know, so don't expect any type of courteous service. I wouldn't touch this place again with a ten foot pole. What a crappy stay. Not worth the pricing either. DO NOT STAY HERE.

The staff greeted me warmly and catered to my every need. They were super friendly and helpful, even giving me ideas for best things to do in the area for the season. The room was better than I expected. It was spotless, which as a clean freak was a huge deal for me. The kitchenette was perfectly equipped. The grounds were well kept, inviting, and beautiful. I thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside soaking in the singing birds, the gorgeous flowers, the sound of the nearby water, even grilling the local, freshly picked asparagus on the bbq grill that is provided. The WiFi here is exceptional as well, and because I work online this was actually the selling point for me. I was able to do everything online I needed, including a live workout session with a trainer that I was streaming. My streaming actually worked better here than at my home! I ended up staying longer than I had planned because I loved it so much and there was so much to do. I highly recommend this place and I will definitely be returning!

Jasmine and I were expecting a weekend of comfort. We were greeted with a personalized experience we never could have imagined. The owner of this establishment - Ray - treated us like family. If I could give this establishment ten stars, I would. Everyone, from the hosts, to the bartenders, to the servers, to the housekeeping staff - everything was perfect. These are people that care about their guests. They care, and it shows. If you stay at this beautiful hotel, you will never want to stay anywhere else in Telluride. My gratitude and my appreciation know no bounds. Ray and his entire staff deserve your business, my business, and all of the business that comes their way. I cannot possibly say enough great things. And that isn't even to mention the gorgeous rooms that await their guests!! The rooms are amazing!! I'd give Ray and the New Sheridan 10 stars if I could. Thank you, thank you, thank you for one of the greatest weekends of our lives.

The hotel itself is charming, the room was very clean, and the staff was friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The hotel is also pet friendly, which was a big plus for us traveling with our dog. The room was a little on the small side, but our biggest complaint was the lack of air conditioning. We understand it's a historic building, but the room did get warm. The hotel recommends opening the windows, but we were surprised they didn't have screens, so that wasn't an ideal solution. Parking is free, but there isn't a dedicated hotel parking lot. You'll need to park on a designated nearby block. The hotel does have a convenient unloading area in front, which made getting our luggage in and out much easier. One thing that was a little confusing when we arrived is that there are three separate entrances--one for the restaurant, one for the hotel, and one for the rooftop bar. We also found it a bit unusual that you walk through the restaurant to reach the hotel hostess/check-in area, but everyone was very friendly and happy to help. We also appreciated the complimentary coffee in the morning, which was a nice touch before heading out for the day. Overall, it's a charming historic hotel with an unbeatable location, friendly staff, and a pet-friendly atmosphere. If you don't mind the lack of air conditioning and a few quirks that come with an older building, it's a great place to stay in Telluride.

Also their underground parking lot makes getting from the car to your room a breeze. The room was massive and as was the bathroom. My favorite part though was the balcony. So delightful to sit out there and be right at the base of the mountain. The continental breakfast had super fresh fruit, yogurt parfaits and homemade cinnamon rolls. Would be spending $30+ per person for breakfast anywhere else so it's a winner. I can't wait to be back and try one of their condos with some friends :)

It does appear they may have renovated the downstairs common area. There is plenty of lounge seating, a fireplace and light oks like you can host a small gathering. We walked in and the front desk clerk who worked Wednesday was very friendly and even walked the luggage cart down to the garage for us. There is an underground garage that has shared space with the hotel condos. But it is $20 a day to park. I'm not sure if there is an alternative space outside to park overnight. The king room was very spacious and has a fireplace. Our friends stayed in the queen size room which was much smaller and no fireplace. There is plenty of seating in the room and has a large bathroom, wardrobe closet, 2 dressers and dining table. There is a large tv but unfortunately the WiFi is a bit sketchy so we could watch much tv. We even had a small balcony. The bed was very comfortable. Pillows not so much. Plenty of linens. There is a ski valet which is open from 8:30am to 4:30pm which is so nice to have available. We came down the hill late one afternoon and left our equipment outside the valet room. They were safe and sound inside the valet the next day. We had the nicest ski valets taking care of us, Jake and Miller. The hotel provides a free continental breakfast from 7:30am to 9:30am. Bagels & salmon, toast, fruit, yogurt, juice and coffee. The breakfast staff were very friendly. There is a nice pool and jacuzzi with views. A bar/restaurant is attached to the hotel which is convenient. Clearly a locals favorite. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Telluride.
