I was there Saturday 6/6/26 for dinner and was shocked fine the parking lot almost empty when we arrived, and many empty tables inside...In the past the restaurant and parking lot have been over flowing and there would have been quite a wait time but worth it. This time, again the food was nowhere near what it once was especially for the prices they are charging. I absolutely have no issues paying the price good quality food costs in today's world, but refuse to pay for lousy food quality. Unless I am over ruled, that will probably be my last visit. Three strikes and you are out! It's a shame because that was once our family "go to" restaurant of choice in Franklin County.

The gentleman serving was very kind and friendly. My dinner was pretty much on his hands since I asked for his recommendations. I got myself a meal of fried catfish, a must try item, and 6-pc fried shrimp. The meal came with seasoned rice, coleslaw, and a side which I chose to be hush puppies. The wait for all these couldn't be more than 15 minutes, since it takes 9.5 min to fry the catfish. The catfish was so soft and melted in your mouth, the shrimps were plump and juicy. I was given spicy coleslaw which is interesting and delicious. All that with the seasoned rice, chefs kiss! For dessert, I highly highly highly recommend the keylime pie. As an avid tart lover, this pie hits home. I'd come back just for this pie. Oh and a piece of the catfish is enough for one person, it's a decent size, tho they do offer a meal of 1-3 pieces, so order accordingly :)
