We had a vague idea for a pond. Greg came out and designed a vision for the area. I trusted the process and only had a few little tweaks/wants. Well it's finished and I literally can't believe how it came out. It is over the top amazing. His vision came out into a stellar amazing park like setting. So many plants, trees, shrubs and flowers that the hummingbirds, birds, and bees are loving within the first few days. The pond is just spectacular!! His attention to detail is like none other. He came back at almost 10:00 at night just to check all the positioning of the lighting to make sure it was perfect. Who does that ? Someone that is honest, passionate, and truly loves the trade they are in and the business they have built. We are beyond happy and thankful for Backyard Blitz. Greg and Luke are two of the hardest working guys you'll ever meet. Polite professional and just great people!! They always had time for us when we had questions. They always had answers and fulfilled each timeline. If anything needed to be changed Greg communicated with us every step of the way. In Spring 2024 I hired Greg to redo the stone patio in my backyard on the old west side of Longview. He has some pictures of it up on his Facebook page. The work he did was very messy and every time I look at my patio, I regret hiring him. He suggested that we use polymeric sand in between the stones. The product failed as soon as he installed it and he had to come back and pull all of it up and redo it. The stuff is supposed to last multiple seasons, and the way he installed it, it already failing everywhere again. he also killed a number of my plants. He offered to come back and replace them for free, but I will never let him in my backyard again. I feel bad posting this review, because I know he was trying his best. He is probably great for jobs that don't require as much care, but for precision work, you should look elsewhere. read more

I debated on writing this for a long time. I posted my experience recently on my personal page and my neighbors informed me they had a bad experience with him as well and the more my grass does the more pissed off I get. We hired him back in October 2022. He quoted ass just under $11,000. We did have a waterfall feature in the backyard we wanted removed because we wanted her backyard more kid friendly. I did tell him I wasn't a plant person so he put low maintenance plants in (so we thought) but one thing we were 100% adamant about and we told him several times with that we did not want our sprinkler system removed... I am sure you can guess what he did... he removed it. He tried to say he can come fix it, but there's no fixing that without tearing up our yard. He said he can come place a sprinkler for us, so that it is hitting all the right angles like we are incapable of doing that. We just want what we asked for and that was for our sprinkler system to not be removed. Since he ruined the backyard, the sprinklers in the front yard no longer work. It's about $10,000 to get a whole new system. When he first got done we thought he did a good job but as time went on it's just a complete mess. He did all these weird little humps around the border so now you can see the lining underneath. Of course, our grass is completely dead. I am a people pleaser so I told him I would recommend him and maybe that was my mistake but I absolutely would not recommend him to anybody. I am kicking myself for spending $11,000 on this backyard to get dead grass, patches in our grass, and a plastic liner showing through... and of course, no sprinkler system anymore. I am paying another company to come out and fix this mess, the only thing we won't get is the sprinklers back because that is expensive and like I said we've already spent $11,000 on this backyard. I would stay far away from this company, unless you want to be out a lot of money. read more

We hired Backyard Blitz to install a 50+ foot dry creek bed and 3000 sq. ft. of sod at our home. Not happy with these guys at all. They started out good but didnt finish the job and I have been trying to finish the project for 5 months. Guess small claims court, social media and board of landscape contractors is the next step. Dont pay anyone until they finish the job. read more

Not impressed. Cell phone message box is full so you can not leave a message. Scheduled two appointments but failed to show each time. They wanted to schedule a third appointment. This is not baseball so you don't get three strikes. I called them as they had installed the sprinklers with previous owned but were never activated. As I moved in, I discovered a leaky pipe just before the shut-off valve. Since it was installed last October and had not been used over the winter, I assume the expanding water during the freeze caused the the pipe/connection to separate since the pipes are only 6" underground. Just had Backyard Blitz install my garden beds and yard this fall. What a transformation! I had a blank yard with mainly weeds and now I have green grass! They added sprinklers to the lawn area and a drip system to all the new plants! Greg is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. read more
