He came as promised the next day with Bob and they were extremely polite and efficient, address I the leaks and replacing old parts. What an amazing experience! In this day where you are quite lucky if you receive good service or service at all, today was my day. Last night I discovered when we flushed our toilet, it would make the basement floor drain overflow. This morning I called Bacon's and left a message. A half hour later, Danielle called to find out more information and to let me know that someone would be at the house between Noon and 2pm. Bob arrived at 11:45. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable even with the fact that we have a house that is almost 100 years old. He solved our problem within a few hours and left the area clean and tidy. I was quoted a very reasonable rate on the phone, and that's how much the bill was to the penny, even though he went over to top to make sure everything was working correctly. If you need a plumber Bacon is the place to call. Justin & Bob are honest and don't try to upsell or BS you into something you don't need. What originally started as a Yelp message to see about a sump pump cleaning led to them finding a plethora of things the inspector missed, but keeping the estimate more than fair. We eneded up needing the dryer vent fixed it wasn't up to code, a toilet needed augered and a new float valve, pipes needed rerouted because another big name company messed them up, and it was suggested our 6 year old water heater needed replaced, sump pump didn't have a float & drain flowed into driveway back into pump, upstairs bathroom sink had a wrong size pipe & guts in toilet were bad. After talking to Justin about all of our options and him stressing the water heater isn't a must at this time, but something to keep an eye on we decided to go for the full job. We scheduled a time and they knocked it out quick over a few days (as they were extremely busy & rain delayed a couple things) and answered any questions we had. We also had them install a garbage disposal in the kitchen. While it was more than we wanted to spend after just buying the home, these guys saved us from it being a costlier issue down the road and their prices were more than fair for the work they did. read more

I chose Bacon's based upon all the positive reviews they had on Yelp and fully see why they get their 5 star rating. The scheduling was very easy and Justin responded very fast to all my requests for scheduling and a quote based upon what he thought the issue was. I was even able to get a same day appointment and they were there exactly in the 30 minute time frame they quoted. The service was done quickly and efficiently but what I also most appreciated was that I had questions on some other plumbing issues in my home and Justin and Bob went over all my concerns and suggested what they thought on the issues and educated me on how various plumbing structures work. This is not a plumbing company. It's one man who hires DIYers or freelancers from different regions of the US to serve the local clients. I got a chance to deal with one of them. His name is Jason. I asked him to install hot and cold water shutoff valves with water supply lines in my bathroom sink. What he did is on the picture. I kindly asked him to install two identical valves but he refused saying "it's all I have" and left. I emailed to the "owner" but he said Jason got sick and he was unable to check his work. To be honest, I don't know how this "company" got so many positive reviews. Probably all the family members and friends have been involved. As for me - If I could have given them minus zero I would but the lowest rating is one star. read more

The basement toilet at my folks' old home was broken. Mr. B responded very quickly to my yelp request, even though it was a weekend. He gave me clear prices for different options. On the first visit, after they removed the old one, they found the old one was directly bolted into the cement below and wasn't installed in the standard way, and to put the new one in place, additional stuff needed to be installed first. So Mr B sent me pictures and gave me 2 options, either to plug up the hole (easy and cheaper) or install with the additional things for a little more. They found and installed a new 40 gallon gas hot water tank very quickly..changed all the venting and made sure everything was correctly done and cleaned up. I thought I would try baking out based upon the reviews on Yelp talk to Bob the night before promised me be out tomorrow the next day at 1:00. He was prompting on time. However after I hired him he walked off the job. I tried to call the owner and office period his communication after that was very poor and sketchy finally he told me that he had to go change his clothes and that he would not be back to finish the job. Showed up at 6 pm nite before for plumbing problem then says has to get other tools be back in morning.... show up and adds more water to problem in basement and tells a handicap person that it's open and draining slow. I get home from work 3 hrs later with even more water on floor than the nite before and was told paid in full by handicapped person who couldn't look and they wouldn't come back out and threatening code enforcement when they made the problem worse...... Lady answered the phone and let me know she would call the plumber and tell him what I conveyed to her as my issues. Ten minutes later she called back letting me know he could be here at 4:30 since he had other jobs going on. Gentleman called at 4:15 saying he was 10 minutes away....I was thrilled! He arrived and took care of my sink problem, was coming back to fix a leaky faucet since there was a part not available everywhere. He was honest telling me there may be a cheaper route to go and he would let me know both options. Another issue with a valve and too much air in the line will also be corrected.
