This place was so fun! It was Friday night after dinner and it was PACKED. I highly recommend booking ahead for large groups Each lane has an instructor to keep you safe, and to help with the subtle nuances of throwing technique Just a few inches off and your axe won't STICK! It will just bounce off the wood ( I know this all too well... but when that axe sticks... aww yiss Nate knew exactly what each of us needed to do in order to get a prefect throw They have super fun games for the group to play and st the end of our time he showed us some "trick" shots to practice It's BYOB and BYOA(axe) - certain restrictions apply If you are having a bday party and have at least 6 ppl the bday person throws free Wear comfy clothes and expect to be sore the next day That was a workout! I highly recommend Bad Axe for a fun and unique night out!

We were here with a group of 5 guys last night for my bachelor party and it was even more fun than I imagined. The staff was great from the moment we walked in. After the safety training and some throwing, they came to give us (extremely helpful) pointers, set up friendly competitions, and showed up cool advanced techniques. I would definitely go back. Amazing and unforgettable experience.

Great experience, but maybe with a bigger group next time. It's $25 per person for an hour session. I'd never tried axe throwing, so I wanted to give it a try. Frankly, I'm really bad at it - I have terrible hand-eye coordination. I'd read on other reviews that it was BYOB, but when we brought out our wine, we were told they had stopped being BYOB a year ago. So that was a bit of a disappointment. Otherwise, we had a great time. It did, however, get a tad repetitive for me after the first 15 minutes or so of throwing. Oh well, it was all for the experience, and now I can say I've thrown an axe many times over!

Had a great time here for a company Christmas party! You can bring in your own food and alcohol. They teach you how to do it, so don't worry about that. Wish you could throw more.

too expensive for the experience. there were really no people inside. the employee was nice but we didn't really feel like the $30 per person was a good deal. concept is cute but not the ambiance.

Omg this place is so fun. I recommend going with a big party because you'll get 2 hours of throw (instead of 1), a trainer, and games. Wear closed toe shoes. You can BYOB. The trainers here are super nice. Music playing during throw was on point. Highly recommend!

Bullseye on the third practice round!

Had such a great time! This was a first for all of us and Olivia was an excellent coach. Music was loud, so it's not a place I'd recommend if you also want to have real conversations with each other. There's alcohol and you can order food delivery if you're hungry (no food at the actual place). Overall, really good experience.

I had high expectations going into axe throwing because it just looked so much fun, and this experience exceeded my expectations. Austin was our "guide" and he was AWESOME. Super enthusiastic, easy to talk to, and walked us through everything smoothly. He made it a lot of fun. 2 hours was the timeslot and it was perfect to do practice rounds, 3 competitions, and then just some for fun throws. I would do this again in a heartbeat.

We were amazed at how much space there is. The back room got pretty tight when we first arrived since there was a group of 12 there already....they had taken over the tall tables in the middle and the couch. Choosing this place for a Texas summer wedding is practically sabotage, and I'll tell you why. Picture this: the bride, groom, officiant, and wedding party forced to stand directly facing the blazing sun at 5pm (all to get the lake in the background). Guests are sitting in direct sunlight, melting, turning the ceremony into an unbearable endurance test. Everyone spends hours getting ready, wearing designer, only to have your blazer turn into a portable sauna, your undershirt is now marinated in your own sweat, and your deodorant taps out like "I wasn't built for this." If you think alcohol will make this better, think again! You can't of catch a buzz because it's so hot that any alcohol consumed immediately escapes through your pores. If you thought you'll just go inside for relief, you'd be wrong again! Expect the interior temperature of the building only marginally cooler than outside, maybe a toasty 90 degrees. Once the doors mercifully open to the building, there's a mad dash to the smallest bathroom in Texas--three tiny stalls and one pathetic sink to service a crowd of sweaty survivors. Mirror? Vanity space? Not here. Prepare to freshen up makeup elbow-to-elbow with strangers, in line, like you're waiting for a ride at Disneyland (minus any of the joy). After exiting the bathroom you'll see the long, hallway-like layout. This narrow layout ensures that anyone seated towards the back misses everything happening on the stage. Guests were left shouting conversations over deafening acoustics and cheap concrete flooring. The cramped table arrangement created constant traffic jams and awkward, uncomfortable pathways just to move around. Outside was equally dreadful. The ceremony area was poorly designed, with an embarrassingly short aisle that robbed the bride of a proper procession. Photography conditions were awful, marred by either glaring sunlight or the shadow of the building (no sunset views). The spider-webbed oak trees added to the unkempt appearance, signaling neglect and lack of care. Parking was another disaster, forcing guests to navigate through a rough, unpaved secondary lot, making an already unpleasant experience even worse. Finally, if you were hoping for some redeeming aesthetic charm, sorry. You'll find none in this ugly orange-brick box inconveniently located far from any decent bars or entertainment. Brides, unless your dress code includes swimsuits and flip-flops, pick literally anywhere else for your summer or early fall wedding. The Filter Building has successfully filtered out comfort, logic, and fun.

We didn't stop to do it but it's there. One slide can be intense, so probably not for small kiddos. Probably good for kids 7 and above (6 if they are courageous) just because of the climbing structure areas and bars width. Parents with young children should follow, they literally can land up somewhere else and some areas they do need to climb up and might need help. Definetly wear sneakers.
