I was really excited to try these they looked amazing! If you're a fan of spicy the verde one is good! It's an enjoyable spicy not where you're sweating but delicious! For someone who can't handle spice this option should not be spicy for you my bf cannot handle spicy but flavor of this one is great! The OG red is good too but not spicy at all if you cannot handle any spice. Overall these were delicious! I do wish there was more cheese though but worth it for sure! I had questions before I ordered my bean and cheese burritos from Bad Hambres. Was it all hype? Was it too good to be true? Was $6 too much for a humble bean burrito? Well I'm glad to say Bad Hambres put all those questions to rest. The bean and cheese burrito was one of the best burritos I've had! It seems simple. A hand made tortilla, beans, cheese but they've mastered it beautifully. First of all the burrito is hefty. About 2-3 times bigger than my favorite bean and cheeses from Costco or Taco Bell. Then there's the taste. I don't know how they do it but the beans have a delicious savory taste. Doesn't make me miss meat at all and it goes so well with the toasted cheese and tortilla. Also the tortilla doesn't rip when microwaved or air fried unlike Red's! I tried both methods and did a combo of 90 seconds in the microwave and 5 minutes in the air fryer. The fact that the tortilla didn't dry out was another bonus. Packaging is beautiful and they have one of the best social media marketing campaigns I've seen where you get follow a day in the life of the owners and be a part of the journey. It felt almost like it was too good to be true or culty but I gotta say I'd join the cult! Delicious! Also planning on sharing these bad boys with friends so they can join the club. Bad Hambres burritos are seriously in a league of their own! I've tried every single one, from the OG to the Chilte, Vecina and La Hamburguesa collaborations, and they are ALL fantastic. Creative, delicious, and so much better than anything you'd ever expect from a frozen burrito. The simplicity of a bean & cheese burrito is something I really enjoy. I had heard of these burritos, and the interesting small biz back story of the owners. I knew I wanted to try them, but I didn't try too hard to get my hands on one. Figured it would eventually happen, if they stayed in business. I happened to be at a great little market, Air Guitar, in Gilbert for a recent Yelp event. They had the burritos in the cold case for to go or they can heat up for you at the sandwich counter. I took mine home and heated it up in the air fryer. That was a smart move. This burrito is delicious! The beans taste very good. It was cooked nicely with a slight crispy tortilla and ooey gooey, melty bean and cheese filling. I would definitely eat these burritos again, but I will think twice about buying them at Air Guitar. They have a few dollars up charge there. And $8 for a medium sized burrito ain't gonna cut it. Needs to be cheaper or bigger size at that price point. I never thought I could love a frozen bean burrito this much. At this point I have tried them all, the OG Red is my favorite unless the La Hamburgesa collab is available, it's absolute fire. The spicy green is great too if you don't mind the heat. The Vecina green chorizo collab is great with a fried egg for breakfast. They offer a 10% discount if you are Phoenix local. Bad Hambres is a relatively new local bean and cheese burrito business! You can order for pickup in Arcadia or delivery. They also have them at Strip Mall. They come frozen but have instructions on how to reheat on the back. I did pickup and it was super easy, just texted them I was there, my order number, and what I car I was in and they had it out right away. I got the 6 pack which is the smallest pack, I would definitely get them again. Burritos were delish, perfect bean to cheese ratio and I loved the crispy cheese on top. My almost 1 year old son is a picky eater but this got his stamp of approval! Glad I checked it out! read more
