My second visit was just as good as the first! I had the Chả lụa this time and it was flavorful and fresh. Every bite had a distribution of the perfect ratio of meat to pickled daikon and carrots. They also added a good amount of pate. The bread holds up well until the last bite. I also had their addictive fried sesame balls with red bean. The sesame balls must be enjoyed while still warm for maximum yum factor! Overall, it's difficult not to enjoy Chim for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

Found this place after craving some banh mi. The pictures looked good online, so we went and were surprised by the setup. I did not expect it to be within a food hub, so we were confused when we turned into the lot. The entrance is the orange door and you're able to place an order on the kiosks inside. There were different restaurants you can order from too! I got the char siu pork banh mi. It looked amazing, but for me, it wasn't anything special flavor-wise. I feel like the pickled veggies weren't pickled enough so it was missing that flavor I love when I have a banh mi. It was a solid banh mi, but I have other places I would prefer to go to instead.

Lemongrass Beef Banh Mi w/pâté added

Delicious! I've been here twice now (in the same week ) and it's quickly become one of my favorite banh mi's in AZ. I appreciate the different meat options (beef, chicken, pork) and the bread is so good! Not sure if it's baked fresh but it's far superior to the other bread I've had in AZ. I've had the lemongrass beef banh mi both times I went. The toppings are perfectly balanced and the veggies are julienned very nicely. I appreciate the mayo serving as well, it's not excessive like most (American) sandwich places. The first time I added pâté, and the second time I did not. I prefer the lemongrass beef banh mi without pâté (personal preference); however, they give a nice amount of pâté if you do elect to add it, and it has a nice flavor. Chim is located in the Highland Food Hub so the pickup is quick and easy. On both occasions my orders were ready within 15 mins. The food and service were great both times I visited. I'll definitely be back.

I know some of you are uneducated about the quality of a meatball sandwich & that's ok, I'm not judging so do not be offended. To begin... This is a neighborhood place just like back east , nestled in a neighborhood on the corner hidden from the strip mall garbage. When you come here, and you better, do not be distracted by the path to tasty food. It is in an older neighborhood with minimal parking but fantastic personalities, service & FOOD! Upon entry it's a time warp for us who grew up in a time that was better. This is a good Olde Fashion deli that sells great food with amazing service. Franks is a family place. Back to the real topic... Meatball Sandwich; when you ask what is the cheese that use & the owner is educated on quality be states "Provolone on the bottom, Mozzarella on top" just know you're in the right place! The flavor is top notch, added some cherry peppers to spice it up just right, bell peppers & onions are standard. Took it to go, drove about 20 minutes to where I needed to be, the aroma was teasing me, the concern of the sandwich being cold or soggy rang in my mind while driving the 17 to the 10.. I was nervous, anxious & salivating.... Opening the togo container to see the glorious sandwich! The meatballs are still hot, the sauce is holding place & the bread is still bread, not some soggy remnant of dough! Thank you for the pride, quality & tasty sandwich.

In my previous visits we have had the Meatball, Sausage, and Ruben sandwiches. I was hoping to try the Steak sandwich and was fortunate to get one today. Last time we went to Frank's they didn't have it on the menu that day. It comes with cheese ( I chose Provolone ) , lettuce, tomato, and mustard instead of mayo. The steak is Pork Butt ( a shoulder cut) . I loved it. It was sooo moist, tender, and flavorful. Another sandwich for my repertoire . My friend had a Meatball sandwich. You can't go wrong with that choice. Needless to say he loved his sandwich too. Today we got lucky to get a table to have our lunch. You have to come early for lunch . It gets crowded around 11:30 .

I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Cheba Hut is a cannabis-themed sub shop eatery, and parking ended up being manageable. The place was very busy when I arrived, so I grabbed a seat at the bar. The bartender was clearly juggling a lot but stayed friendly and personable. The place was super clean, and I immediately loved the laid-back neighborhood vibe near Roosevelt Row. I ordered the French dip sub along with a munchie- pretzel nugs. Cheba offers three sandwich sizes (Nug, Pinner, and Blunt), which makes ordering easy depending on your appetite. Everything came out fresh and flavorful, and the pretzel mugs were especially good, soft and salty, Parking here is a little more limited than some other locations, but overall I really enjoyed my first visit and was happy to learn there are multiple Cheba Hut locations around town. I'll definitely be back.
