Overall not bad if you're looking to get a quick banh mi fix but I wouldn't personally go out of my way get it again since it's a bit far. I ordered the lemongrass beef banh mi with the added pate. The bread is good and has a nice crunch on the outside, the beef had good flavor and they put a good amount in the sandwich and the pickled veggies were nice and crunchy! However where the sandwich was lacking was the pate, it had no flavor or salt whatsoever and just tasted like a thick flavorless paste in my sandwich. I'm not sure if it was a one off and it's usually better but if I were to get it again I definitely wouldn't get the added pate. read more

My second visit was just as good as the first! I had the Chả lụa this time and it was flavorful and fresh. Every bite had a distribution of the perfect ratio of meat to pickled daikon and carrots. They also added a good amount of pate. The bread holds up well until the last bite. I also had their addictive fried sesame balls with red bean. The sesame balls must be enjoyed while still warm for maximum yum factor! Overall, it's difficult not to enjoy Chim for breakfast, lunch and dinner! read more

Found this place after craving some banh mi. The pictures looked good online, so we went and were surprised by the setup. I did not expect it to be within a food hub, so we were confused when we turned into the lot. The entrance is the orange door and you're able to place an order on the kiosks inside. There were different restaurants you can order from too! I got the char siu pork banh mi. It looked amazing, but for me, it wasn't anything special flavor-wise. I feel like the pickled veggies weren't pickled enough so it was missing that flavor I love when I have a banh mi. It was a solid banh mi, but I have other places I would prefer to go to instead. read more

So I am just basing this review on the taste of food and the unique experience. Not really the price and such. Interesting concept of ordering food and then picking it up in a locker. Think of Amazon Lockers for food. They text you whenever the food is ready, you arrive and get access to a website that tells you the locker location, and then you click on the site to open the locker. Very easy. There are only two stools at a table for any type of eating (it is next to the entrance to the bathroom), so I am thinking it may not be ideal for eating there (but nice to get out of the heat). The vegan satay sandwich has to be the best vegetarian banh mi outside of getting an egg one, which is very typically the only vegetarian option you get. Added note: I found out that there are other locations in other metropolitan areas, and the concept was started by the same guy who started Uber. read more

Delicious! I've been here twice now (in the same week ) and it's quickly become one of my favorite banh mi's in AZ. I appreciate the different meat options (beef, chicken, pork) and the bread is so good! Not sure if it's baked fresh but it's far superior to the other bread I've had in AZ. I've had the lemongrass beef banh mi both times I went. The toppings are perfectly balanced and the veggies are julienned very nicely. I appreciate the mayo serving as well, it's not excessive like most (American) sandwich places. The first time I added pâté, and the second time I did not. I prefer the lemongrass beef banh mi without pâté (personal preference); however, they give a nice amount of pâté if you do elect to add it, and it has a nice flavor. Chim is located in the Highland Food Hub so the pickup is quick and easy. On both occasions my orders were ready within 15 mins. The food and service were great both times I visited. Absolutely delicious. Fresh, huge portions. I got the lemongrass beef banh mi. The bread was absolutely sublime. The ingredients were fresh and delicious. I did the add-on vegetable dumplings. They were awesome- even after sitting in the car on my 10 mile drive home. I don't know what the dumpling sauce is, but it's perfectly umami. This place is a delivery/take out only, so order ahead. They will text you a code to unlock your locker when it's ready. Kind of an interesting concept. If the weather is nice, there are a couple picnic tables outside so you can eat there. Holy cow great food! First timers; ordered cha lua, meatballs (alone), lemongrass beef, chicken satay bowl, red bean sesame balls, and some Vietnamese coffee, no ice. Best: the sesame balls - not too sweet, very soft, fresh, and flavorable! followed by the Meatballs and the chicken satay bowl - wow, flavorful, fresh, fantastic. Next: cha lua minh. Bread was fantastic. Beware the jalapeños- they are definitely small but mighty! (Put on side for couple things) Saved the coffee for the morning. We ordered it online - the pickup is interesting. Nice big parking lot, 3 picnic tables outside - very clean and nice. Clear signage. You walk into a tiny lobby - two electronic kiosks to order onsite if you want, and two little kiosks for order pickup. Held up my phone with the order # on it and it told us which bin had our order and it popped open. Nice woman behind a small counter window helped us very nicely as we were a bit confused about how to do the pickup. This little "lobby" is tiny - maybe room for 8 people total? Not sure how it would be during a busy time, but it's a quick and easy process. Overall, highly recommended! We will be back, if nothing else than for the sesame balls and some meatballs! read more

Lemongrass Beef was a little bit on the chewy side, although the marinade tasted great. The Banh Mi itself was definitely lacking the slight crisp and airiness I expect and hope for. I think the pickled daikon and carrot need a little more pickling to cut the fatty meat. All that being said, the sandwich had a perfect amount of house mayo and chilis. Overall, it's a decent sandwich for a decent price in 2025, but there's room for improvement. read more

This is the best Banh Mi I have had in Arizona. I don't think other places compare at all. Everything was excellent. The bread was outstanding which in my opinion is one of the most important parts of a good Banh Mi. Crispy fresh bread. Veggies were fresh and delicious. The Char siu was perfect. Tender and seasoned perfectly. You can tell care was put into the Char Siu. The quality really shows here. I had to get the spring roll Banh Mi just to see what it was like. I was BLOWN away. This place is GOOOOOD!!! Wait .. did I mentioned I like this place? Okay -- I got the Vegan one w/ satay chik'n .. my partner got one with meat. I can't remember which one. We both LOVED what we got. Also got the spring rolls. They were excellent to be honest but I likely won't add them in again .. for 4 tiny rolls $7 .. just doesn't seem worth it to me. If anything we talked about next time getting our own banh mi and then splitting the spring roll banh mi instead. They're that good. Just need more bang for the buck. The sesame balls are so good and fresh and I love them. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Really good. I can really only speak for the vegan one .. and damn. No human contact (if that's a plus to you)it's a ghost kitchen! I believe several restaurants offer different food as well, so check it out. I really liked the lemongrass beef. Make sure you don't order the ones with pate if you're not a fan! I wouldn't order the bowl again- it was a pretty awful if you compare it to a regular Vietnamese restaurant. The bread had a nice crust and fluffy interior, the beef was tender and flavorful, the veggies were fresh and crisp.
