We happen to live in the neighborhood, but we have friends who drive miles to go here. Bagels are the best in the area. Try them yourself and I promise you'll be a convert. Don't even try to compare to a chain place. Also, the size is bigger. You can buy 6 and cream cheese for about $16. Coffee is decent and they have non-dairy options for creamers and syrups. Anytime I see a place claim they serve NYC bagels, I'm dubious. But someone at the hotel we were staying at said it was good so I tried it and it was everything I needed it to be. Over the years this bagel shop has changed ownership and names many times. This is by far the best one we have had. The omelettes are big and delicious, love the turkey club which is loaded with bacon, cream cheese, and veggies. Pastries are also all wonderful, especially the apple and berry tarts. I am not from NY and don't claim to be a bagel expert but their bagels are yummy and chewy. Especially love the Cranberry walnut with the crunchy sugar on top and I don't even like walnuts. I love this place because it's around the corner! Although, something has changed. My daughter frequently ordered door dash and three times her order was wrong. Today I picked up cinnamon buns and a burrito. The buns were incredibly dry and might even be considered stale. There was bacon inside the burrito and every bite was fat. I really wish the cut spuds were cut off the potatoes before cooking. My daughter took the time to call and tell them about the mistakes. It's truly a pain to do anything about the issue through door dash. Since we like the establishment we wanted to let them know.
