Decided to take a little break from the city to check out Bad Seed Cidery. We were able to order cider flights by writing down which flavors we wanted to try and the nice staff at the bar helped with recommending which ones would suit our tastes. Ended up trying the blueberry lavender, up north (semi dry), pumpkin, and hopricot. The Up North was my favorite, it wasn't too sweet and had a great apple flavor. My sister and I got to try a pineapple cider and a plum rose cider, which were flavors that were only in cans. The staff were nice enough to pour cold ones out in glasses. There was a live band playing and the vibes were super fun and relaxing. I really enjoyed my time at Bad Seed and would definitely come back!

What's better than hand tossed pizza and cider? Rosemary fries! Ok Bad Seed Cider has it all but one thing I do love here is the Opus None and the Lavender cider. The Opus None takes the cake with the dry, oaky notes and drinks SO WELL! The best way to order here is to get a cider flight of 6 to be able to try different flavors and enjoy different sips! Then you can actually pick out your favorite to order a full glass of. Hint hint, like the Opus None. They do also have some beer on tap as well which is nice and you can mix and match in your flight of choice. Of course, you can't have a little drinky drink on an empty stomach so Bad Seed has already thought of this and they have an all day food truck available Saturday and Sunday that serves different types of pizza (yes, there's even gluten free!) and different types of fries. If you want to fully enjoy that pizza make sure to get some of their crispy fries especially the rosemary, they're packed with flavor! When it's not too cold the firepits are so nice to sit by and also this place is kid friendly too! Everyone here is so kind you can even take some of your favorite ciders to go! Word on the street is the Pumpkin cider is truly to die for. Not huge on pumpkin things so I can't really vouch for it but my friends totally can hehe. Fun place to come chill and have a few sips on the weekend. Great spot for the gluten free peeps! Even if you're not into cider you'll love this place!

My wife and I were in the Hudson Valley for our anniversary and wanted a Sunday afternoon stop before coming home. We are big cider fans so this place fit the bill perfectly. The indoors of the cider house was pretty basic though they do have some cool vintage pinball machines upstairs. But its fall and its next to an apple orchard - are you really sitting inside? Outside they have a huge patio with a small stage, fire tables, tons of picnic tables, games and a food truck. We each ordered a flight of various ciders. They were all ok, but a little light for our tastes. The only one of them that we were wowed by was the pumpkin (and I typically hate pumpkin). To be honest it wasn't super pumpkin-y and we ended up getting a four pack to take home. Even though we weren't really hungry, we got a couple snacky-snacks from the food truck. Both were decent and portions were pretty large.

Went on a Sunday around 1 and the vibes were phenomenal. I loved that they had different seating options and it wasn't too crowded. The live music was great. We got a flight and really enjoyed it but the disco glitter cider was by far my favorite! I was really impressed by how genuinely good the food is. A lot of similar places locally focus on the drinks and the food isn't very good but that was not the case at all here! I'd go back just for the chicken tendies and fries.

Bad Seed Cider is amazing. We got married here about 18 months ago and continue visiting to enjoy the space, the people, and the tasty drinks. Lots of memories here so we were happy to see that Bad Seed still offered cider sales during the shut-down. A few weeks ago, Bad Seed announced they were offering contactless cider deliveries. We placed our order online and paid via their email invoice. Within a few hours, a case was placed outside our door. Since the first delivery, we've placed two more, all with the same service/quality. We especially enjoyed the "Hopricot" and "Pineapple" varieties. Today, Bad Seed is offering curbside pickup at the cidery. Although delivery is now halted, we still plan on ordering/picking up to-go cans in the coming weeks. Devin, Albert, Bram, and Kortney are all amazing people and we hope we can all get back there soon!!

We recently discovered this cidery and have been here twice now. The ciders are so delicious and there's a lot of unique flavors. We get the flights when we come so we can try as many as possible. There's a food truck outside with delicious fries and the store inside has some cute things. Everyone who works here is so friendly and it's such a nice time coming here and sitting outside with the music and cider to enjoy this beautiful weather.

I can believe the last review was so long ago because I was surprised at the lack of people here when I went on a Saturday night. We were 2 hours away from home and decided to stop here and book a place nearby. It was cold outside, but I was expecting to see people at the firepit when we parked. The vibe was great and the setup was cozy...it was 19 degrees outside though. But still. We went in, ordered a flight of some very good ciders, and washed them down with some french fries and breaded cheese curds. Green tea was my least favorite cider, but it was not bad. I think a flight is the way to go since they have so many good choices though.

Been coming here for years. The outside venue has definitely improved and attracted some more people. I'm just happy to report that the cider hasn't changed. Love the mix of herbs in their hard cider. We make the trip once a year to stock up on cans and bombers and love that they offer pizza and fries now. Still walked away with three cases after a power outage. Love this place and the employees. Always worth the trip.

Bad Seed Craft Hard Cider is a craft cidery and orchard that opened in Highland, New York in October 2014. It was founded by childhood friends Albert Wilklow and Devin Britton. Albert is a sixth generation apple farmer and Devin has many years of brewing and fermenting beverages. They initially formed in the summer of 2011 in the back room of an old Hudson Valley barn, but it would be three more years before they opened their new taproom to the public. Their mission is to advance the craft cider industry through mixing old and new cider techniques and craft beer influences. All ciders are made from 100% Hudson Valley apples. In addition to the main taproom, there is a secondary taproom that is open at Wilklow Orchards (Alex's family farm that dates back to 1855) during the warmer months. My wife, son and I visited Bad Seed for the first time last Saturday while we were having a day trip in the Hudson River Valley. We had heard that Bad Seed was very family friendly. We arrived in the afternoon. They had a really nice biergarten-style patio area outside the taproom. There was a bluegrass band setting up to play on the stage area. My wife and I each ordered cider flights so we could sample all eight ciders that they had on tap. The cidery also offers wood-fired pizza on the weekends. We ordered a Margherita pie and a Mushroom pie and shared them; they tasted great with our flights! Our son liked the pizza too. We also had some tasty Rosemary Fries that the kitchen made for us by mistake; I love happy accidents. Our favorite cider out of the eight samples was the "Plum Rosé" (a dry cider fermented with blue plums). Before leaving, we purchased a four-pack of the Plum Rosé as well as 750 ml bottles of their Oak Aged Dry Cider, Bourbon Barrel Reserve Cider, and Spiced Rum Barrel Aged Cider. We really enjoyed our stay at Bad Seed and we would definitely go back again!

Bad Seed is a great cidery to hang out and grab diverse ciders! I have been several times and always see groups of friends, wine tour groups and bachelor and bachelorette parties here. There is indoor and outdoor seating and even heaters around outside for those colder days. There is usually a food truck in premises too if you are feeling like eating. In terms of their cider, there are usually several options. My recommendation is to get a flight so you can taste a bunch. They have flights of 4 or 6 options. My favorite cider was the bourbon cider. They also have beer on tap and even non-alcohol cider so there's something for everyone!

Bad seed is definitely off the beaten path and when you are driving to it, you'll probably think you're going the wrong way.. but keep goin! Its there! Tons of outdoor seating that is spread out. Dog friendly!! They have plenty of beer and cider options as well as some canned wine. The food menu is small - only some pizza and fry options. What we did have was good, but it took over 30 minutes to get it which was a bummer. Otherwise, solid experience and we would potentially return.

Been here multiple times and I have to say it's one of my favorite cider places in the area! The staff is always friendly and helpful and the food trucks are amazing. A great atmosphere inside and outside! Will definitely be back (again and again)

Stoped in on a whim. What a nice place. The Cider was delicious I had a flight. It had a great ambience and also the young lady behind the counter was very welcoming and had a great demeanor about herself. We enjoyed a mushroom pizza because of the new rules, but I must say it was quite delicious! I must say I was expecting like a Freezer pizza but this is quite nice definitely will make it a point to stop in again.
