I was driving around and exploring NY, on my way to chase down another waterfall and stumbled upon this gem! I had no idea that Angry Orchard had a cider house and tasting room ‍ but what a really cool place. Production and orchard tours are also offered, there are food trucks on site, they have flights, glasses and bottles of new & different ciders available for purchase. You're able to sample test beers, which\was really fun! Lots of tables to chill and hang out. The also have games to keep you entertained, like corn hole and more. Seeing that I am a beer / horror enthusiast , this was a different , yet very satisfying experience! When you first arrive, the property is very inviting and it's very spacious The music is on point and I'm talking about the live music that they offer there as well as the music playing within the brewery itself . I tried the full special of cider flight , priced very reasonable and the ciders were so refreshing. Had a great time at the cider house. The staff were all knowledgeable and kind. There were plenty of photo opportunities and activities to take part in. It's very lively especially on a weekend so I highly recommend getting there before 1pm to beat the insanely long lines. You do have the option to bring your own chairs and/or picnic blankets because seating is scarce in comparison to the large crowds. They offer cannoli, which was phenomenal to say the least Nutella and I'm pretty sure there's one more and I don't remember it. Service is great here. Everybody is smiling talking to you. Explain explaining to you each cider flavor if you are confused so many different flavors offered it's very interesting and if you want like a cool Sunday, you don't wanna be in the house when the weather is better than this cold weather that we are going through right now as it is December pick up, go hang out there. We visited Angry Orchard in Walden on a sunny June afternoon and it was such a great spot. No food trucks that day but the cider flights were really good and the views were beautiful. Love the cider and atmosphere here. Biggest drawback? Every time I visit, it's at least a 30 minute wait for drinks. And food? Even longer in a separate line. I don't know why the bar and food are positioned the way they are, but I've never been here when it was properly staffed without a massive line for drinks. I loved it here!!!! Came on a Sunday of Memorial Day weekend with the hubs and it was lovely. The staff/bartenders are friendly and well informed. There's plenary of indoor and outdoor seating. You can do a tour, visit the treehouse, or do as we did and enjoy the lawn and live music. The band playing on Sunday was a whole vibe, Soul Sense,and added to the awesome atmosphere. We had the Bud Break cider, and the Crispy Apple with a brown sugar cinnamon rim. Where to start.... Wanted to go on a calm date with my girlfriend and enjoy the fall festivities. Always wanted to check out Angry Orchard so after a 25 min drive we arrived. Keeping mind it was somewhat raining outside which already was showing complications. We still wanted to the place a chance. First impressions the vibes seemed pretty good, a lot of people walking around seemingly like they were having a good time. As we got closer to the main building where the food trucks and drinks were. That is when everything went down hill. There were only two food trucks with lines that would make you wait over an hour for $20'pizza. And then there was a BBQ truck that was ALL SOLD OUT. We also went to go inside to sit down, the employees told us "good luck finding seating" which was really great. Packed, no help, and nothing to drink or eat . So that left us with two options. Either wait on line for some pizza or leave. Didn't feel like dealing with my hangry girlfriend so we left. We ended up eating at a nearby town at a place called Rose Mary's pub and grub. I really do love this place! Upon driving in, we were directed to bear left and head to the rear parking lot #2. This was my first time going into this lot. Parking was free. Once you park, you follow a path to the "big red building", where you'll receive your wrist band which certifies you are of age to drink. You then head downstairs where there is a bar type of area for you to order drinks/food. They have tons of cider to choose from! During the fall months they seem to have more food trucks/apple cider donuts. Yesterday they had one food truck, and the pizza. We ordered the pretzel, and the grilled cheese sandwich. Both DELICIOUS! The sandwich came with sea salt chips as well. The pretzel came with 3 dipping sides; spicy mustard, some type of apple sauce, and cheese. I absolutely love this brewery! It is dog friendly, and plenty amount of seating outside. The view is also beautiful and definitely a lot of photo opportunities! I recommend this place! I come here at least a few times a year! I went to Angry Orchard on Saturday 12pm. It wasn't busy when I arrived and I was able to get parking at the cider house. After my estate tasting tour (45 min), the fire pits quickly filled up around 1:30pm. It tends to get busy, but the lines move quickly. I enjoyed my fresh donuts and cider slushy outdoors sitting by the fire pits. I also stuffed my face with more food by the food truck and ate a pretzel and grilled cheese. I thought about eating more, but I tried to control myself for my next stop. There are lounge chairs, picnic tables, and sun umbrellas outside, but a few tables indoors too. I came with a big group for a tour and dinner here. We got a view of the factory and machinery and our tour guy was very knowledgeable about the process and history of the ciderhouse. They apparently grew all the apples for their ciders in house and some of the ciders brewed here are unique and not sold nationwide. We got to try two types of ciders during the tour as well. Unfortunately, the machines were very loud and it was hard to hear everything during the tour despite the guide using a microphone. The tour itself was pretty short. If you're not interested in brewing or history I would suggest skipping the tour. We then went out to the yard to have dinner. There was a big variety of cider on the menu. Many of us tried out the varieties the tour guide mentioned and some was big hits while some were more of an acquired taste. The food option is pretty limited and I got pizza, pulled pork, and onion soup. The taste is decent and the pepperoni pizza was my favorite. Would only recommend visiting if you have a car--as we ubered from Beacon over to here and back and whew...that was expensive! It's in a rather excluded area so you can imagine the inconvenience of trying to get anywhere nearby relying on anyone other than yourself! Aside from that, there is quite a bit of space from the inside of the brewery to the outside where you can enjoy your beverages in the sun along the apple orchard. My partner and I opted for the flight, as we are not typically cider people, and we were good to share it! Our favorite were the seasonal apple cider flavor along with their traditional apple crisp. They let you bring your own food so we brought a large deli sandwich to eat on the patio and share with the bees. There's not much to see and the tour is rather pricey, from the treehouse option to the tastings they offer. I recommend just parking at the public lot and going up along the path by the trees over to the brewery part where you can peruse through the merch while you order your cider and then seat yourself either inside or out. Cider heaven!! My friend and I went to the Walden Cider House and it was the such a good experience. We joined the production tour when we got there and it was around $20 per person. The tour was short but at least it came with a big cup of the baked apple pie cider and tasting of their one other local flavors. Try to get there as early as you can because it gets pretty crowded around 2pm. After the tour, I got the cider flight and the frozen cider. The frozen cider is a must!! I actually didn't know this place existed until my friend suggested to stop by on our way back down to NYC. It's a pretty big space. Once you get there, you're directed to the parking lot which has plenty of parking spaces. Then, you walk through the field, where you can see all the apple trees, until you reach the main cider house. But there's also a treehouse and a cider garden along the path too. They have tours available but my group of friends didn't plan ahead of time so all of the tours were booked already. Instead, we checked out the cider house where there was a good selection of ciders available, as well as frozen ciders, and you can also get some food. There were stands for donuts, non-alcoholic apple cider, and food trucks outside! There's an upstairs, which is where you walk in, and also downstairs and outdoor seating. However, there weren't many seats outdoors and it was so hot when we came that we decided to sit upstairs instead (there's also seating indoors inside but it was already so crowded). Upstairs was the least crowded and there are doors that lead to a space right next to the entrance outdoors as well. Overall, a nice casual place to relax and enjoy your time with some friends. Cool spot to check out if you're in the area. Not sure if I would go out of my way for it though. Wanted to treat ourselves after a hike and stopped by along the way to only be turned down because they were overcapacity. Was feeling a little discouraged even though they said they might re-open later, but we eventually found the additional lot behind it and they let us in. Most of the apples have fallen off the trees around this time of the season (end of October), but it was nice to walk down the orchard. When we finally got to the venue, there was a pretty long line to get your IDs checked and to get in, but it moved fast. The cider house and area is a lot smaller than I thought it would be, but we managed to find a spot to lounge at. There's a bar upstairs, downstairs and outside. The upstairs bar has the extensive menu of ciders whereas the other bars have a more condensed menu. If you're going to order a flight, you don't get to choose which ciders you want to try. Most of the ciders we ordered were very enjoyable though. I really liked the Drop Top, which is a little higher in the ABV%. For a lighter cider, the Ruby Frost was pretty good too! There's some food trucks scattered around the back and a donut stand. The donuts were sooo good and I highly recommend getting them. They are made fresh in front of you and go by quick. Each donut ranged from $3-4 and a flight was $9. The cannoli donut was by far my favorite. I had no idea that Angry Orchard had a cider house, so I was super excited to come here on a double date with my fiance. But oof - we really did not enjoy about 3/4 of the ciders in the flight. The 1/4 that we did like most closely resembled the usual Angry Orchard you would get in store. There was a cranberry pomegranate drink that was quite sweet and tasty though - would prefer that over the flight. Food isn't available by the cider house per se, but there are vendors outside. Aye Oh Donuts was there with their freshly fried up apple cider donuts (cash or venmo only) and hot cider (non-alcoholic). There was an additional food vendor out back cranking out tasty personal pizzas. Overall ambiance and vibes were good - definitely a great place for a catch up with friends if the weather is nice out. The staff upstairs when we first entered waa incredibly friendly, but some the staff downstairs was not so much (and Aye Oh Donuts was also not the kindest). Womp womp From home to Angry Orchard - is 45 minutes. I drove my mother and my children after perusing the Angry Orchard website, to visit. Got there, and was greeted with bad news. The entire outdoor area is closed due to renovations. Awesome - glad they are updating but perhaps letting customers know ahead of time on your webpage, might be a proactive idea. We decided to stay for a bit ... but after sitting on a very long line for a cider or two, we decided to book it for the hills and head elsewhere. I made the journey here from NYC with a train to Beacon and then a ride-share (30 minute) drive to get to the orchard. This is a MUST visit location and worth the 2-ish hours each way. Let's dive in... Treehouse Experience (5/5): This 280-year-old tree supports a stunning treehouse on the property. On the bottom are 3 super comfy swings while you wait and at the beginning of the tour guide's spiel. Our guide was reasonably knowledgable and very funny! He then took us upstairs where you get to try two ciders. That day they were serving Funk of the Gunk (a -- as the name implies -- funky tasting and tannin-forward flavor) and Blueberry Rose (a slightly sweet and tart blueberry-focused flavor). The guide also happily took pictures for anyone who requested. He also takes you on a journey to describe and appreciate each pour which was a fun way to enjoy them. Plus, the views were absolutely stunning! Stone Barn Tasting Experience (5/5): The servers here were incredibly personable and stuck around with our group even after our tasting formally ended and gave us a little bit of free food as we were the last group ahead of their event that evening. I tried their single origin selection and others in the group tried their natural selection -- and shared all so we could try lots. No one in our group got the rose selection. I absolutely loved mine the most -- all had varying flavors from funky to sweet to tart and are unique to their orchard. Their major nationwide distilling is done elsewhere so everything we enjoyed is pretty much only made and served on the farm. They give us some free popcorn which you serve yourself -- and after a few drinks that really hit the spot! I also added on their apple brandy (pictured) and it was dangerously good! Event (4/5): The event that evening was very cool as they brought in food trucks and a grill table. The food truck line was way too long so I got a bratwurst and a hamburger to share at their grill table. Both were tasty though the food truck looked more interesting. There wasn't too much as activity goes but they had cornhole out which our group took advantage of, plus a DJ. Overall Ambiance (4/5): The outdoor space is vast and flat. They have several tables with cute branded umbrellas plus a number of flat-top barrels. The bathrooms are clean and decor is welcoming (see picture). I would have loved for a few more seated areas and one grassy part was sparse and could have used more tables but that would be my only complaint. Cider (5/5): We got to enjoy so many varieties that aren't available in store and I'm here for it! Very much want to return just to keep trying some of their experimental and small batch ciders. Staff (5/5): Our group closed down the place (not our plan originally, but we had so much fun and lost track of time). Their staff was incredibly kind when one member of the group was finally pooped (read: drunk) and they brought us free donuts and bags of chips for them to eat and made sure we had a safe ride back (we took ride-share). Once you park you walk to the main house where you are ID'd, you don't have to be 21 to enter, but they do give wristband to distinguish. They used to offer a free tasting flight, I don't know if they stopped doing that completely or if they only offer it during low periods now. They often have live music and food. They have a nice outside area with games and a firepit. They have changed their set up in the last couple years, you have to reserve certain seating areas, but there is still a decent amount of tables and chairs inside and out without reservation. We started off with their sampler which consisted of the dry ciders -- American holiday, beginnings without end, angry balls, and block party.
