These folks do everything right. Lovely people. It's a casual gem, happy groups of locals and tourists with dogs and children enjoying the beautiful settling on the lake and great eats. The food is local faves, pizza and burgers (rip the amazing bbq) and varieties of hard cider along with beer and n/a selections. The pizza definitely gets the award for vip, love the broccoli rabe and the fig and prosciutto pies. Grab a house brewed cider, enjoy the sunset and the ducks (there used to be a swan!) in the lake and its heaven.

Friendly staff, amazing wood-fired pizza, and a beautiful, relaxing atmosphere--even on a quiet day. Can't wait to go back! Sad to miss the upcoming paella event

Delicious margarita with chorizo pizza . All Homemade ingredients.

My husband and I decided to get something to eat after our Bike ride. We decided to come since they didn't open until 12 , so we decided to do a flight sample first. The margarita pizza was very delicious and out of this world. I think it came up to be $18.00 but it was so worth it. I messed up and decided to buy the two cans of Cider when I couls had just bought a whole bottle. Next time I will do that instead. My husband and I absolutely loved the view of this place. I am sure this place looks absolutely gorgeous in the fall time. My husband and I can't wait to come back here again. It's definitely worth it and everything is so fresh. The service was amazing as well.

We enjoyed Twin Star Orchards! We ordered the pepperoni and vegan pizza. FOOD: The pepperoni was super good and tasty. The vegan pizza was good but if needed more sauce, it was too dry. But all was very tasty! We also ordered the Bone Dry and Kinda Dry (I'm not sure if that's the name but it was the 2nd sweetest one) which were both food. SERVICE: It was ok. Not 5 stars. The place was basically empty, so the service could have been way better. LOCATION: Loved it, really cool space and lots of seating.

We have been here 5 or 6 times at this point. We love the cider so we keep coming back ! They are dog friendly which is always a plus for us.

Back side of the barn. Plenty of open space to move around.

Twin Star continues to deliver an amazing consumer experience. Since my last review, Twin Star has opened its doors to the public and offers near similar services to pre-COVID. We were meeting some family who was traveling south on the NYS Thruway and figured Twin Star would be a perfect location. Because TS has an amazing outdoor space, with orchards, tables, and their famous red pizza pavilion, we felt comfortable making this one of our first "dine-in" destinations since March. Upon arrival, you'll quickly realize their level of commitment to safety and health. Masks are required and they've clearly labeled social distancing areas throughout the grounds. I'd say almost every 20 feet, you can find some sort of hand sanitizer station, one-way arrows for foot traffic, and/or signage that succinctly reminds guests of the new rules for safety. Tables were separated with umbrellas for shade (it seems like they've added over 10-15 NEW picnic tables around the pond). One added bonus was the upgraded SquarePay system. Before ordering, you give your phone number to enroll for alerts/updates on your food. It wasn't too crowded on Sunday (7/12), but they had a chalkboard sign with estimated wait-times for food. In previous visits, your ready order would get yelled by a staff member--this is fine if you're seated near the pickup window, but near impossible to hear when seated in a different area. The new text alert system is a small upgrade, but an amazing feature to an already near-perfect experience. I got my favorites: Bone Dry Cider with a Dragon's Breath pizza.

mushroom pizza. Amazing! Veggie friendly.

Brooklyn Cide House/Twin Star Orchards is an absolutely bucket list worthy day trips for anyone to make. Nor a fan of cider (beer)? Well then come hungry because the pizzas are must try. Stunning views, plenty of parking, and a great scenic drive from the Manhattan area. Honestly, its a very smooth and easy drive to take. Once you pull up to the large barn, you can call and place your order OR order via their website I ordered the half sour , dry cider, and another cider. Cans and bottes start at about 7.00 and can go up to 16.00 i believe. That being said, split a 4 pack with someone. There are some bottles and cans that can be sold by themselves. The pizzas are very tasty and a nice surprise for a cidery. its a thin, neopoltian, style crust pie. layered with various toppings, sauce, and cheese. perfect to share on a date, or eat for yourself like the gluttonous pig that i am. my friend grabbed the "dragons breath". he ate it down quick, loved it. I dont think it wasy spicy at all. For me, the non meat eater, i had the 3mushroom white. Love the tender shrooms, perfect amount of cheese, and the hint of truffle oil. a pizza to die for! Keep in mind, theres plenty of pizzas here to get for the non meat eaters! We ate outside at our car since it was a nice day. We were allowed to use the bathrooms as long as we had face coverings and gloves. the inside of the brooklyn cider house smelled amazing and i cant wait to attend when covid is over. Before you arrive, make sure to check the twin star orchards website about whats available for pick up. i will be back to try their cider donuts!

Great place to hang out, pick some apples, order a pizza or burger and some cider, and eat it all on a picnic table by their lake/pond. Their brick oven pizzas were awesome, fed by actual wood that you can smell as you wait on their gorgeous grounds. We ordered one of each flavor they had. I'm not a cider person. But, I did enjoy their variety of available ciders. We got 3 different bottles of cider to wash down all the pizza. And then we went apple picking. $25 per bag/half bushel. Not a bad deal at all. And they have live music on occasion. I wish we could've been here earlier in the season for that. We've found our new apple picking place.

I appreciated how pet friendly this place is! The food was great too :) I hear the cider is great too but I didn't get a chance to try it but definitely next time! This was my first time here and I enjoyed the atmosphere. The orchard itself is so nice to walk around. I would recommend coming here for good food and live music!

Ask the Community - Twin Star Orchards

What vegan options are available here?

We offer a wood-fired vegan pizza, which is topped with broccoli rabe, 3 types of mushrooms, onions and truffle oil.

Is there a hay ride available?

No. This is more of an adult orchard. They sell hard cider. You won't find a corn maze, bouncy castle, hayride, etc. There's plenty of other orchards that have that sort of stuff.

What time does Apple picking start on Saturday?

They post on their Instagram account pretty regularly.

How much is the orchard and how many pounds of apples do you get?

They have different sized bags that you fill up. Not based on weight.

Can I bring my small dog if he's on leash and we'll mannered?

Yes I saw many people who had there dogs.

Is it just apples or do they have pumpkin picking?

Do anyone know if the orchard is open as of today? I've been calling and emailing to ask about Apple picking hour info but no one's picking up the phone or responding me on email...

They post on their Instagram account pretty regularly.

Now that we're living in The Catskills, my quest to find that similar market prototype I grew to love in Westchester, continues. I had forgotten hubs and I came here before during one of our bi-annual trips to The Catskills. Recently though, when I searched for produce markets near work in Highland, Wallkill View in New Paltz popped up within a short driving distance. As you drive past all of New Paltz bustling shops and restaurants on Main St, you'll soon approach a sleepy farmland area overlooking Mohonk Preserve in about 5 or so minutes. I've been hard-pressed to find a market that tops my favorite one in Westchester and checks all the boxes. Wallkill View grows and sells a nice mix of produce the area has to offer. And when veggies and fruit aren't grown on-site or in season, they're sourced from elsewhere. Unlike other farm markets that operate only Sat+Sun, Wallkill V. is open everyday. Well...almost. These folks shut down for Christmas and throughout the winter- reopening in March. Prices are about $1 more than what I paid down in White Plains- but hey... I get it. Service is great though.

I have to credit Taliaferro for almost single-handedly increasing my vegetable consumption from that of a picky child who eats only corn (I jest, sort of) to me claiming, last night, that I could be a vegetarian if for some reason I needed to... except for beef.
