The BEST bingsu I've ever had! Came here once before this trip and though Yelp said they were open, they were unfortunately closed. Finally came back a year later an hour after they opened and was so happy that they were open and ready to take orders. You place an order and they give you a buzzer for when your bingsu is ready. It took some time but it was well worth the wait! You can walk around the other restaurants/ food trucks while you wait. The mango was sweet and not tart whatsoever. The condensed milk evenly coated the ice and the ice was the softest texture. Each bite was heavenly and had me craving the next bite. If you have a sweet tooth, I highly recommend this spot!
First time stopping here and the Mango Bingsu lived up to the hype! I can see why it's the most popular item. So delicious and refreshing. The woman working was incredibly kind and welcoming. While I was eating, two families came up to me asking what it was because it looked so good. It is a bit tucked away but it's in the same area as all the other food trucks in Kahuku.
The best sweet treat ever!!! We got there a little before they opened, there was already a line starting to form behind us. Service was pretty quick for us because we were second in line. However, even if there was a long wait for it.... It's SO worth it! Hubby and I shared the mango and mommy in law got the honey dew. The fruit is so fresh and it pairs so well with the light/creamy coconut ice cream. The servings are huge! Love this place!!!!
This is one of the reasons we keep coming back to the islands year after year. Their Badabingsu is the perfect sweet, creamy treat--easily a top-10 "island dessert" for me. It was so good we came back twice on this trip (and honestly, having a red-eye flight home means you can squeeze one in before heading to the airport... highly recommend). The young woman who's always working when we stop in is genuinely kind and welcoming--super sweet, just like the dessert. If you're on the fence, don't be. Listen to Steve and just go.
This was probably the best dessert we had on our entire trip! The mango was insanely sweet, and with SO much mango which I loved. There is only one lady working inside, so service may take a bit longer and sometimes the window is closed, but it is totally worth the wait. Just be patient. They are a food truck located next to Kahuku Sugar Mill where there are plenty of other food trucks too. The whole area was such a vibe!

Really wanted to try this Korean style shave ice for a while now so finally made the drive to the North Shore on a Saturday. Firstly, they had a sign saying they would not open until 4pm. Check their Instagram page for updated hours! We killed some time at the Kahuku beer garden before making our way back at 3:55pm. A line of about 8 people had already formed. We placed our order for two shave ice at 4:10pm ish and were given a buzzer (which didn't work but told us which order number we were). Now the reason for three stars is that the operation is run by one woman only. She took everyone's orders who had lined up, maybe about 14 people? And then closed her window to start making the shave ice. Her sign on the front said 'closed' and she did not take it down. As we waited for our order, many groups of people walked up, saw the sign and walked away. A few asked other people around if she was open and would then patiently wait at the closed window until she popped out with a completed order. She would then take the new orders while she was at the window. A group of girls said they had shown up the day before and walked away after seeing the closed sign. We told them to wait until she popped out and they would be able to order. She is losing a lot of customers and needs to hire another person to assist her. Or come up with a better way to take orders and make orders without people not knowing if she is even open. We got our order about 50min after ordering which is a pretty long wait for two shave ice. Yes, the presentation is really pretty, the fruit was fresh tasty, the ice very soft and not too sweet and the coconut ice cream was really good! BUT considering there are other Korean style shave ice places on the island, I won't be going back.

Wish they had other locations open. It's similar to Jejubing in Alamoana but I gotta say this one is in the top of my list!! The mango was perfect and the milk ice was so addicting! AN HOUR WAIT?! Good thing we came prepared -- because they open at 12 PM, we made sure to be in the area prior to. We decided to have lunch in the area and wait in the car to kill some time. If you end up coming after opening time and the wait is already long, you can easily order first and then go eat something else, that way dessert should be ready after your actual meal. We were 2nd in line so the wait wasn't too bad (considering it looks like theres only one person working?) You get a buzzer and once it goes off, your bingsu is ready The buggah is HUGE! It is practically flooding out of the bowl, which is why it's handed to you with napkins surrounding it. You can easily share it with 2-3 people. We got the Mango flavor and it was so delicious! It's not even mango season but they were so sweet and soft. The coconut ice was a different shape than I was expecting it; more crystal snow like? Does that make sense? No? I guess you'll have to go and see for yourself. But I loved every single bite and I wish I had more stomach space to try out the other fruit flavors. Kahuku is such a far drive but I know I'm coming back here the next time I'm in the area. It is worth every penny!
Check their IG page, before driving out, so that you can ensure you're there when they're there. Free parking located in the Kahuku Sugar Mill lot. And they're located right on the outskirts closest to the parking lot. Wooden benches and restrooms are located nearby. I would suggest ordering from this place first, grabbing your buzzer, and then going to grab a savory bite to eat from a patron nearby, then finishing off with this place for dessert. It took about 1.5 hours of wait time for us to receive our 1 item. We already anticipated the long wait prior to getting here, and the cashier apologized for the wait in advance when we were ordering, so that solidified our expectations. The mango bingsu that we got was topped full of mango pieces (it's a seasonal item, and may not always be available). Walk carefully or eat quickly because there are some pieces that never made it to consumption. The milk ice at some point became bland and chalky to me, I don't know if they use powdered milk for this item? Needless to say, the two of us didn't finish it all. I wouldn't say that it was bad, but I also don't know if I would wait in line for this item again. Perhaps we were waiting for the ice to freeze for it to be made? Or the machine that they use can only move so quickly, for the amount of demand/orders being taken. Either way, it's worth a try if you're looking for something different in that area.
It's Mother's Day! So my husband wanted to come take us here, it's kinda like Jejubing (sp?) @ Alaz. Soft textured shave ice kine & it's massive! Can be messy but it's good. I got the strawberry & he got the mango. Honestly liked the mango better! He was supposed to order melona but they didn't have :( so for sure coming next time to order it. Staff was friendly & the line was super long. It's Sunday but their sign said it opens @ 4 (maybe bc of Mother's day?), so we waited for that 30min. & Lucky thing we did bc it got super busy, there was a line and heard it was an hour wait after maybe order after #10? They give you a buzzer when your order is ready to be picked up. When I gave back my buzzer to pick up our order, I heard the cashier tell the customer an almost 2 hour wait! So this place is popular! Perfect for a hot ATI day :)

So much yessssss! This mango bingsu was really good, the mango was really sweet and fresh, Hawaii hands down always has the best mangos. It's a good size portion, We ended up splitting this between 3 people. There's a lot of other foods around if you're looking to get other things. read more

Absolute Mango Heaven! If you are looking for the ultimate refreshing treat to beat the heat, Badabingsu hits it out of the park. The mango bingsu is an absolute masterpiece. It comes loaded with a mountain of perfectly ripe, sweet, and juicy mango chunks over the fluffiest, finest snow ice that melts in your mouth. Topping it off with that creamy scoop of ice cream, mango drizzle, and a fresh mint leaf makes it as much of a visual showstopper as it is delicious. Every single bite is perfectly balanced and not overly heavy. An absolute treat that I'll be craving regularly! read more
Saw a reel on IG about this place & could not wait to try it. Their truck is located behind the blue aloha truck. Had to wait a couple minutes for the lady to finish someone's order (since it's only one person, be patient!) They gave me a buzzer and within 4 minutes my dessert was ready. This dessert is huge, definitely made for two people I think. I ate half, and saved the rest to take home. It is so delicious. The ice cream, the topping and the mangos were sweet. I will definitely be coming back another time to try more flavors. read more
So happy got to try this during our stay. I wish we were able to go back. One of the best and fine shaved ice i have eaten. You can never go wrong with Fresh fruit and coconut ice cream!! A must when you're in North shore. Service is amazing friendly people. East to locate and cute place. read more

Sometimes closed, sometimes sold out, electricity might be off on certain days, but I still show up because this bingsu is amazingly delicious. The fruits, ice/condensed milk consistency. It all just works and please just take my monies. Melona, mango and Strawberry is my go to here. read more

First off, presentation is amazing! They have many different flavors such as mango, strawberry, melon, and chocolate. Their base is ice milk with fresh fruit and a scoop of ice cream. The one negative is their wait time. I went on a Saturday and the wait was over an hour and a half. I'm not exactly sure why the wait is so long, but they will periodically close the stand until they finish up their current orders before reopening agai read more

Refreshing and delicate sweet treat perfect for the hot summer days. Like what many of the other reviews said, there seems to be only one person running this place at once, so please be patient. Luckily, when we came by they weren't too busy so the wait was fairly reasonable. As you can see from the photo, the cup is overflowing so she hands it to you with napkins around it already. The bingsu is perfectly "not too sweet" and everything just went really well together with the haupia ice cream on top. The ice is soft and not "crunchy" like how it could be at some places. There are benches to sit right next to the order window with minor shade (depending on where you sit and where the sun is). Although this was good, I just feel like a bit more mango throughout the bingsu would've brought the whole thing together. Eventually you're left with majority milky ice cream, especially with the way the bowl is packed, you kind of have to eat the mangos first so it doesn't fall off everywhere. read more
So fresh and light! We were driving by north shore and we're looking for a new shave ice spot to try out and saw this spot not too far in Kahuku. The shop is a small trailer inside the plaza next to Seven Brothers. It's an inconspicuous little cart with a small menu of flavors including mango, strawberry, melona, and chocolate. All the options come with shaved milk, coconut ice cream and fresh fruit and a sweet drizzle. The Mango was all out today so we tried the strawberry and it was light and refreshing, not too sweet at all and just right! Can't wait to come back, crossing our fingers we get to try the Mango as it seems like their most popular flavor! read more

Awesome sweet spot located in the North Shore of Hawaii. We stopped at this food park for Poke and found this spot in the same food park. We ordered the Pineapple and Mango options and dang they were delicious. This is definitely a nice treat any day of the year. I would definitely come back here if the opportunity arises read more

So delicious but long wait. When we got there, they had the "CLOSED" sign up even though we came during business hours. We spoke to a couple there who had been waiting an hour for their order of one bingsu. Then we saw a family who was waiting for theirs too (about six orders) who had been also waiting over an hour. I'm not sure if they're understaffed or what but this seems like an issue here so it's hard to say how long you'll have to wait if you come. We spoke with the girl working and asked if they were really closed and she said only temporarily while she caught up with orders. Once she caught up with orders (after about another 30 minutes), thankfully she was able to take our order because I really wanted to try this place. While we waited, we bought food at another food truck. This place has a bunch of different food trucks so you can kill time by getting food nearby before having dessert here. They were sold out of mango and strawberry when we went so we got chocolate and pineapple. The bingsu is huge so I think it's perfect for splitting with someone. The chocolate one was sooooo good so I'm sad I couldn't finish it all myself! Definitely a place I'll be coming back to next time I'm here, but I am worried about the wait times. You can tell they really care about making a really quality product but it seems like they've really got to find a better and quicker way to get their bingsu out to customers. Delicious and beautiful bingsu, but be prepared to wait. read more

But the soft, fluffy bingsu with heaping amounts of fresh fruit, topped with a scoop of ice cream, and drizzled with sweetened condensed milk on a warm Hawaiian day - paradise! read more

The bingsu was really good but a lot of the toppings fall off. The service was nothing special, just a quick order and wait. Only thing is that there's only one worker so the wait is longer than you'd expect but it was well worth it! There's some outside seating all around and the area is pretty open. read more
We made the long drive to Kahuku just to visit Badabingsu which came highly recommended by my good friends. Located next to the sugar mill & alongside many other food trucks. Lots of parking is available & we were able to find one easily on a Saturday afternoon with people coming and going. I ordered the mango bingsu and was not disappointed, it was heavenly! The ice was melt in your mouth soft and the mango sweet and fresh. The portion is large so 2 adults and a toddler were able to share it. There are lots of benches shared by the trucks to sit and eat with umbrella shade covering. The area is fairly clean with trash and a recycling bin. Service was friendly. We will definitely be returning! read more
5/5 for sure!!! If I could rate higher than a 5, I totally would. Between Hawaii and Guam, I've fallen in love with Bingsu, but Badabingsu is 100% the best that I've had! When I went with my sister and my best friend, we initially thought that the shack was closed due to the CLOSED sign, but as we saw people walking around with their Bingsus, we knew that we were wrong. Immediately, we went and ordered one Mango and one Strawberry Bingsu and BOY did we make the perfect decision! Badabingsu's bingsus tasted SO light and fluffy with the perfect amount of sweetness with every bite of the Bingsus. In addition to this, the bingsu servings were massive, but they definitely didn't make you feel like you wanted to explode after/as you were eating them, so it was a nice feel to the stomach after eating Ry's Poke. The fruit was *chef's kiss* because it tasted SO FRESH. If you have the chance, definitely stop by Badabingsu and give their bingsu a try (especially the Mango)--I promise you that you will not be disappointed! read more
In a little trailer/stand in the Kahuku Sugar Mill, Badabingsu can be seen close to Seven Brothers and other restaurants. The menu options are not extensive and there are a few options such as mango, strawberry, melona, pineapple, and chocolate. It takes a bit for the employee to make the bingsu but it is pretty large! There are layers of ice, syrup, and fruit that make it possible for every bite to be sweet and flavorful. It was about $10 for one and it was enough to split between two people. There are some benches in front of the stand but not many so it might be good to be prepared to find somewhere else to eat your bingsu. It was super refreshing after going to the beach and a great stop before heading home! read more

This was the best style of shaved ice (milk) style my family and I have ever eaten! It was worth the price (and drive) especially when you're getting something sweet with fresh fruits!! It wasn't overly sweet either which was perfect! Would highly recommend supporting this business! The girl was really nice and working by herself! So, be patient (wait time is close to hour when busy) because you won't be disappointed read more
Been meaning to go here for what feels like forever and finally made a dedicated point to come, and it did not disappoint- the milk ice was just as fluffy and creamy as I'd dreamed of, the fresh mango was so aromatic and juicy, and overall just a delightful, not-too-sweet treat. They're all one price (~$13) and size, so all you need to choose is the fruit or chocolate topping, and they're great to share with another person or two. Cute little food truck that is absolutely worth going to with every Kahuku pit stop. Stoked to try all the other flavors! :) read more

Best dessert place ever, hands down! So flavorful, delicious and heavenly. The ice has a yummy flavor and they are extremely generous with toppings. I wish I could eat here all the time, if they weren't so far away from me. I'd be a regular if they ever decide to open up in town someday. I get the mango flavor and the fruit is always so delicious and sweet! Ice cream & syrup are the perfect amount. Sometimes it takes a bit to prepare but it is well worth the wait. read more

We came early and waited until it opened. Let me tell you.... Born and raised in Hawaii, ate shave ice all the time, but this was a little masterpiece. Had the pineapple one, highly recommend, you won't regret it. read more
All I can say is this was amazing I don't even know how or what the process is but it is very refreshing on I hot day like today is! The service was very quick and they don't do cash. All credit or debit cards! Lots of benches outside to sit and enjoy this masterpiece! read more

Finally drove out to try the bingsu here earlier this summer... and needless to say, it was as delicious and refreshing as it looks! The employee in the cute little booth both takes your order AND makes the bingsu. She was very friendly with us and let us know how long it would take. The wait was a bit long, but keep in mind there's only one person in there! She was working hard to churn out the long list of orders. When it was our turn, we retrieved our order from the window. The fruit was so fresh, and the milk flavor of the ice was perfectly balanced and not too sweet. I did think we could have gotten away with just one because this thing is MASSIVE. Will be back again next time I'm on that side and need a cooling treat. read more
so so so fresh and perfectly sweet! we just had their mango bingsu but because that one was so good we're assuming their other menu items are just as good! honestly i would've easily overlooked this place but i'm so glad we didn't! i think it deserves more recognition for sure! huge portion size and very shareable, just slightly messy but so good! read more

Oh, how I loved this. After some tasty lunch, we wandered around the food trucks wondering if anything else could possibly tempt us, despite feeling full. Yelp pointed me here and I am soooo thankful. Small little food cart with 2 benches outside and a little shade. There was a group of 5 with their tour guide sitting at one of the tables and they were singing praises of their desserts. We knew we were at the right spot. The variety of shaved ice with different asian cultures is incredible. Badabingsu is the Korean variety of Bingsu. Stepped up to the window and ordered Strawberry. There is only 1 woman working, so it takes some time for her to make each one. This had layers of shaved ice, milk, ice cream and strawberries. Typically, when I order sweets, I take my 2 bites and move on. Umm, no. This special treat was not to be wasted. It was delicious and surprisingly, not too sweet. My sis said the Mango was equally good, but I didn't try a bite of hers. After that, we were done. Time to head to a pool. read more
