YUM. Always a must-stop when in Halei'wa. This bread is super moist, always fresh, and they usually have a buy 3 get 1 free deal which is such a steal! They have classic, chocolate chip, and even mochi banana bread right now. Trust, you won't regret it.

6 month late review from November 2025 (thought I posted) OH MY SOUL!!! We were recommended to stop here for banana bread while we were on our honeymoon by my in laws. AND IT WAS WORTH THE HOUR LONG DRIVE We stayed in Waikiki but let me tell you I would do it again just for their soft, thick, bread. You can feel the quality in every bite. Truly the best I've had in my life . It's a beautiful hidden gem that I wish everyone knew about. Nathan, thank you for the AMAZING banana bread!! We felt the Aloha and you don't even know us. Mahalo for your kindness and we hope to come here again and recommend you to others. We bought 6 banana breads while we were out here. Trust me buy more to take some home after your trip!!

Believe the hype for this banana bread!! We came on a Thursday and the lady said it was our lucky day since the mochi banana bread was still available. So of course we get that one. And it was moist, chewy, and delicious -- as expected. I believe there is a buy 3 get one free deal but we did have to finish the banana bread in 3-4 days so didn't take advantage as we needed to save stomach space for the rest of the good eats in Oahu. Definitely make this a must stop on your next North Shore stops!!

Such a cute shop located along the north shore! It was easy to spot from the road and looked like a little garage with adorable decorations. We were immediately greeted by a girl who was beyond friendly. She explained that the bread comes from apple banana's which are a tropical fruit. They had buy 3 get 1 free bread so we got 3 loaves and 1 sticker. $13 for a good quality loaf is a great deal we thought. At the end of the interaction, the employee also took our picture for social media which is such a fun idea!! Definitely recommend coming here and trying some bread!

So many people have been claiming this is the best banana bread in the world, and I might just have to agree with that statement. Their stand is tucked on the side of the street and there is super cute merch like bags, shirts, and stickers for purchase. They had a few options of bread to choose from including their original, chocolate chip, and of course I went back a second time and they had their mochi choco chip for sale that day. I got their choco chip banana bread and both times hit the same. So incredibly moist, the perfect sweetness, and texture was insane. They use apple bananas, the Hawaiian delicacy.

I had their banana bread through my friend a couple years ago and I loved it. I finally came to Hawaii and visited the store in person. Unfortunately they were all sold out. I posted my disappointed picture on my social media. Right away they responded to me they brought extra for the customers. I was excited to go back to get them. Not only the cashier Jillian excited to see me, she wrote the cutest card, and gave me a free bread as well. This business is successful not only because of the quality of the products but also this caring customer service. They always make sure all the costumers are happy and have good experiences. Thank you for your awesome business and hospitality. Your mochi banana bread is the best!!!

I made a pit stop here while in the North Shore since I saw such high ratings on Yelp. They essentially have two menu items. Banana bread original or banana bread with chocolate chip. I ordered the banana bread original as I've never really been a huge fan of chocolate chips in my banana bread. We left the north shore and while I was opening up the banana bread, I realized that there were chocolate chips in my order. I decided to go back, but it was such an inconvenience that the wrong one was given to me. Nevertheless, I was able to finally get the banana bread I wanted in my hands. Once we got back to the hotel, I tried the bread and it was really delicious and moist! I believe the banana bread cost $13. As far as ambiance, it's a small stand that could easily be missed while driving on this road, so pay attention to the gps! :)

Easily the best banana bread I have ever tasted and I have made many a banana bread before. It's so delicately moist, we gobbled it right up. We got the original and the chocolate chip, both were equally as delicious. The chocolate chip was more freshly baked so it was still nice and warm. Doesn't lose its moistness when you reheat it the next day. Would make a trip back up to north shore just for this.

A must stop in North Shore! Makua Banana Bead Co. is tucked away in a small shack providing the nostalgic Hawaii ambiance. Their banana bread is ultra moist and dense. They have multiple flavors to choose from. My favorite is the mochi! Julianna is so sweet and helpful! Their service is quick and friendly.

I love the banana breads here! They are absolutely incredible and so delicious Kate is so sweet and helped us out today

If you're in North Shore, you have to stop by Makua Banana Bread!!! The banana bread is incredibly soft, moist, and full of flavor. My favorite was the chocolate banana bread, but the original and mochi were also so delicious. The storefront is super cute and has such a great aesthetic, and the staff were really kind and friendly which made the whole experience even better. Such a great little spot for a sweet treat - definitely worth stopping by!

Delicious loaf of banana bread I had in Hawaii. We got their mochi bb and chocolate chip bb and loved them both. The cc bb was my fav although the lady at the counter did mention their mochi bb is more popular and sells out quickly. I'm glad I got to try them both :) At $13 a loaf, the price is steep but I didn't mind since it was a one-time purchase.

Absolutely amazing banana bread and great customer service thank you Kate! Easily one of the best spots on the North Shore, fresh, warm, perfectly moist, and full of flavor. You can taste the quality in every bite. A must-stop if you're in Haleʻiwa or driving around the North Shore. 10/10 recommend!
