We came to Badges before going to a show at the Palace Theater. It is about a 4 minute walk. It is definitely more of a bar than a restaurant. The bottom floor is an old style bar, but was very comfy. The upstairs had the dining room, which consisted of about 6-7 tables with a room to the right that housed a pool table and dart board. When we first entered, I wasn't sure if the place would work, since we had our kids. The server took us up to the dining area. She was friendly and attentive. My daughter and I both ordered hoagies, which were as wide as they were. She got the Italian and I got a Roast Beef Bomber. You can choose from chips, fresh cut fries, or fresh cut sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries come with a sweet sauce. My son got chicken tenders, which were fine. My wife ordered the Irish Nachos, which contained no chips. It was fries with shredded beef and beer cheese. She was not a fan, but I think that was on her for ordering that. read more

I first encountered the cult of Argon here in the back room of this quaint and comfortable bar. Captain Carl and I were here in January of 2016 and had an enjoyable tour of the various taps and shared a few shots with local college kids who were discussing their forensic science laboratory work up at Seton Hill. The bartender - a petite young woman covered in awesome ink - was not into the conversation about rates of decomp across various environments. But she kept the booze coming. The place was not loud but the bar area was small so "private conversations" were not a thing. That's how Captain Carl overheard someone use the word "Grignr" which alerted us to the presence of the Argonists. In Greensburg, the Argonists are a social club that meets in the larger dining area upstairs from the bar. The locals treat them like any other group and seem to be unaware of their more sinister motives. This is a good thing. I'd never met an Argonist but being a little buzzed was probably the best way to do it. We took our burger and fries up in the dining room and enjoyed the heck out of them. Great fries. Juicy burger. The wait staff was attentive, especially when keeping us from seeing the bottom of our beer steins. Argonists are the keeper of the Sacred Eye; a book so horrible that it should never have been written. Yet the Argonists like to read it aloud at people. Watching them in public, grown men looking like little girls giggling over a special secret, it took the mystery out of their group. They were preparing for something so Captain Carl and I reluctantly ended our bender at our favorite Greensburg tavern to stalk them to their next destination. read more

We ordered a dozen seasoned wings, a grilled chicken salad, and the 6" Italian hoagie. Loved it all!!! We were so happy with the wings. We've been looking for a local place with whole wings and we are so happy we found a place with them just down the street. The hoagie was really big for it being only 6"! Much wider than normal hoagies and my husband loved it. The chicken salad was yummy and I loved the fresh cut fries on top! read more

I used to like this place but it's gone downhill recently. I was going there about three times a week normally bringing one or more additional people with me so I was pretty much a regular. Things started to go downhill with quality. Raw French fries, undercooked wings, and some other ridiculous misfires from the kitchen. Strange thing, instead of simply trying to make it right, the server would just shrug her shoulders or give me some crazy story why the food wasn't right. After about 5 episodes of this place falling over themselves, I've had to part ways with badges. On one occasion, I did speak with the owner but that went nowhere. I never asked for my meal to be comped. I just wanted them to fix what was wrong. Good luck with this place. I don't recommend it at all. read more

If you're looking for the absolute best fish sandwich, look no further. I don't care what others claim, Badge's fish sandwich puts all others to shame. It's a huge piece of hand breaded white fish on the most delicate homemade roll. You can ask for toppings such as tomatoe, onion, and lettuce, if you'd like. The homemade tarter sauce my be all you need. Their hand cut fries are very reminiscent of Kennywood's potato patch fries, which is a good thing. Otherwise, we love this bar for the amazing service, karaoke nights (every Thursday and every other Saturday), and reasonable prices. This is basically the only bar we frequent. read more

Ordered wings on wing night and they were just barely cooked enough. Also ordered BBQ burgers and the bacon was almost raw. We won't go back. The barmaid who waited on us gave excellent service. There was some other woman who kept coming to our table as if the barmaid didn't know her job. She should have spent her time hovering over the cook who clearly was inept. read more

Badges falls firmly into the "yet another dive bar" category. Drinks are cheap, and it's got an easy location in downtown Gburg. Don't expect stellar service - it's just okay - but if you want to get messed up Badges will surely get you settled. Should you choose to stop in, know that it'll be pretty dead every night except Friday and Saturday. Word to the wise: Do NOT drive drunk in Greensburg. Well, don't do it anywhere, but the city cops really like to hang around this bar at close. Stay safe, folks! read more

This is my favorite place for my girls night out. We usually order dinner or a snack, the hand cut fries are my favorite and they pair well with a hand made burger, then we have a few cocktails or beer and visit. There's always a good crowd, everyone is friendly. Never had a problem with service, I've seen it packed and never had to wait more than a few seconds for service. I would highly recommend read more

Not impressed. We had a male bartender with lots of tattoos who seemed more into himself than serving us. We stopped here because we never had before, and I don't think we'll be back. Working in the service industry we tend to critique other service and it was weak. Didn't try any of the food so I can't comment on that. read more

Bud Light beer is flat, but the wings are full size crispy. Sauce comes in the side.

Stop in for lunch from time to time which is always awesome, however, on countless occasions there was a woman who would come from out the kitchen area ( NOT our waitress/bartender ) and go behind the bar to help herself to shots of fireball in front of customers and then walk back to the kitchen and disappear only to reappear and do it again and again it would seem every time our waitress/bartender would go to the kitchen! Worst bar in town from a local. They don't clean their lines for the draft bar which is very limited and way overpriced for Greensburg. My girlfriend had metal shavings in her vodka cranberry to which the bartender replied, "oh wow." There are many young kids who love to go to a bar that doesn't card, and love to get over served. If there is one word for this bar I would say derelict. Do not go. read more

Mostly trashy drunk college kids. Bartenders aren't the best. Extremely small place, it gets pretty crowded.
