I live about 45-50 minutes away from this area, so it seems like when I'm I driving thru on Rt. 30, it's either this place or the other restaraunt just down the road. My daughter gets the pork belly over the mac&cheese every time! And she likes it so much, she won't share! I have gotten different items each time, and I've always enjoyed whatever I have ordered. I can say this restaurant is a great choice in the area. Food is good, lots of seats so never a long wait, everything is clean including the restrooms. Not really sure what happened to Sharky's. We recently ordered takeout and it was awful, to the point that we wished we had just gone to Wendy's or McDonald's instead. Everything was of the lowest quality . I mean who messes up mac and cheese? It was so gross it got tossed in the garbage. The chicken tenders were the worst I've ever had. Have been driving by this restaurant for years and just never stopped. Today that all changed! This place is a huge hit; food was fantastic, service was great with a wonderful atmosphere. Could it inside or out, we picked inside. Had a cheesesteak and Italian hoagie with fries. Food came out fast and was really good. I am not a huge French fry fan but these were really good. This place is nothing special. The interior is kind of weird and the food is fairly basic. I'd keep looking if you're in the area.

Cool location that was very busy on a Saturday mid afternoon. Wonderful staff, fun atmosphere, but the food was very average. Lots of Steelers fans hang out here around training camp, which is close by and it is easy to see why. As a sports bar, lots of fun. read more

If you would like to have wings with a side of feathers this is the place for you! Ordered wings there this past week and there was a clump of feathers and a single feather on 2 of my wings. The waiter was great and addressed it right away, however when the manger came over I asked for the wings to just be taken off our bill. He was not very kind and started to get very passive aggressive. He indicated that no one has ever just asked for the meal to be taken off the bill. He said he would replace the 2 wings for me, but at that point I did not have an appetite for wings. He got mad and walked away and we asked to speak to the owner. He told us he wasn't there. A few minutes later the waiter and another employee both came over and apologized for his behavior. When the owner arrived it was more of the same. Was not in any way making us feel the customer was right. My 4 year old niece even asked why was that man being so mean to you? A 4 year old figured it out! Convenient bar to walk to from the hotel next door. We sat at the bar to have dinner before hanging out and playing pool for the rest of the night. The bartenders were friendly and our food arrived quickly. We started with the Pick Three Dips and we picked the Buffalo, pimento cheese, and elote. They were all pretty good and the size was great to share. For my meal, I had wings with Korean sauce and garlic herb dry rub. I really liked the garlic herb but wasn't a fan of the Korean sauce at all. It's awesome that the pool tables are all free so we enjoyed drinks throughout the night and played countless games of pool. They even have a couple golf simulators which look fun too. Excellent choice in Latrobe... We have been here many times for business related interviews, and for flights in and out of the airport. Every time we have been seated quickly. Everything was great from beginning to end. We had several couples meeting us. Summer waited on us, and was so pleasant and patient. Our food was delicious. The onion rings were crispy and hot. All of our salads, sandwiches, entrees, and sides were presented at the same time and done perfectly. The tables are nicely spaced in the dining room. Charging customers a take out fee for uneaten wings on wing night is ridiculous. You HAVE to order a minimum of 10 wings (can't do 5 and 5 of different sauces anymore) and then if you can't finish those 10 wings, you get charged a take out fee for those wings. Very poor hospitality and I'll take my business down the street where I won't be nickel and dimed and lied to. read more

They are charging different prices than their menu states thus padding the bill. I ordered chippers which are 4.50 on their menu, they charged me $8. The waitress had no clue but had the manager adjust our bill. I told her again the menu is wrong so they could address it .Couldn't get thru to her so I pointed out the error to them via Facebook , they told me I was wrong. I told them to look at their menu as I was not wrong.i included a photo if their menu pricing. Instead of thanking me for pointing out their error they deleted the comments and blocked me . Funny thing is all I was trying to to do was point out THEIR error .With an attitude like that they have lost any desire I might have to go there. A cute little spot my wife and I stopped at after visiting the flight 93 memorial on the way back to our hotel. Looks like it is very trendy. Large deck with a great view, but she can sit inside if you wish. Latrobe is the training spot for the Pittsburgh Steelers. All the servers were wearing appropriate apparel. We ordered adult beverages from Autumn. Autumn did a great job with her personal but yet professional touch. My wife's beverage was a little bit stronger than she's used to and I appreciated having Sam Adams on draft. We opened with chippers. Their chippers were fresh, sliced and fried potatoes with a variety of seasonings that could be added. We opted for herb and garlic, and they were extremely tasty and well done! I ordered five wings with Mesquite dry rub, they were absolutely delicious. My wife's order of roast beef tacos were absolutely superb! Well done! If our travels ever bring us to Latrobe again we will be sure to stop. read more

Sharkeys café is a fun place to go to when you're in the Pittsburgh area. My wife while I was up there visiting we decided to stop by Sharkeys café because they had a bunch of Steelers memorabilia out. We are big Steelers fans so automatically we were hooked to go here. We truly enjoyed our experience at Sharky's Cafe - The Peel & Eat Shrimp was Fresh & Tastee.. we should have ordered double. Great Avacado Burger and the Buffalo Quesadilla overflowed with Chicken and Cheese. The Fries could have used a little help. BUT THE SERVICE - WOW - Courtney R was just the best - SHE was ON POINT with everything. Never had to ask for a thing. I was about to ask for water and what showed up? water. My son wasn't happy with a perfectly toasted top bum on his burger, BAM, she was on it. I was pleasantly surprised that they offered cabbage rolls with mashed potatoes as a lunch special. This was billed as a sports bar and I'm sure it is. This place smells like a bathroom. I found it hard to enjoy my food because of this. If I was by myself I would've walked out. The service was okay, even though the waitress didn't really know about the menu. Can't say I really blame her since it's a pretty big menu but it was a tad annoying. Also felt like I was being rushed out. They looked annoyed when we wanted dessert and extra food to go home. I noticed they were trying to rush other tables out as well even though it wasn't very busy. The service is a 10 plus - from the staff, waiter's/ waitresses and manager - all pay attention to detail and provide excellent customer service. Ownership is active and engaged with their clientele. My husband and I hadn't been to Sharky's for quite a while and decided to go tonight on a whim. I am sure glad that we picked this restaurant. Because it was Valentines Day the server offered us a complimentary glass of champagne. Everything was great! Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable, despite mentioning she was new there. This place has one of the better nacho appetizers that I have had. Very loaded with cheese and different toppings. Overall, the food is solid and there are many options from pizza to wings to sandwiches to burgers to fish. I've had the dirty south burger and the mac and cheese (on separate occasions). Dirty south burger was great, very filling and very heavy on the pimento cheese. Mac and cheese was also a good option. The place is huge and service is attentive. I read all the reviews and this place was hit or miss. We were in the area and thought we have to stop. When we entered the one guy greeted us if we were purchasing a product. He said hi, what can I get for you today? Like WTF.. I said we are here to eat lunch. The other guy, said will you need menus. At this point I'm like should we leave. We sit down and our waitress Alexis asks if she can get us something to drink. I said a draft list and waters for now. Another downer, only domestic beer is available. No craft beer or more popular beer rather. Than Miller Light, Coors Light etc; My wife had a wine and I stuck with water. We ordered our food. Remind you I order a grilled chicken sandwich that came with cheese and lettuce and I asked for honey bbq sauce. Well they gave me a piece of chicken, with nothing on it but a bun. Then we realized they gave me my wife's, she had a different chicken sandwich also with nothing but cheese. Nobody follows directions here, update the drinks and quit being weird to customers. No way seats were social distancing either. Not too be Karen, but they were getting as many in as they can. Our waitress was nice and it wasn't her fault. Will not go here.
