The smell transported me to my favorite pizza joint that I would go to after swim practice. The way the pepperoni curls brings a smile to your face as you think of times past. The first date when you're in middle school while your mom sits 3 tables away as the chaperone. That first delicious bite takes you back to the days of your swimming WPIAL practices as a celebration dinner before the big day. The late night greasy fix after the school dance with your friends while playing the pac man table top game. (I wish Fellini's had one of those!) The steak hoagie is by far the better of the steak hoagies that I've had recently. It's seasoned well and they actually put the mayo on the hoagie! It starts to liquify and just soaks all through the sandwich the way it should! The provolone sticks are incredible! I don't know if they're homemade, but they sure taste it. And the breadsticks! The breadsticks are just leftover dough covered in delicious butter garlic sauce. PERFECTION! I could just sit in Fellini's all day smelling the wonderful smells and talking about growing up in the 90's.

Not the most filling pie. Service is average, not the most friendly staff. Pretty much just going through the motions. Clean restaurant for the most part. The kids enjoy watching the process from the building of the pie to the cooking of it. It's a cafeteria style process from entering and ordering from the right side of the restaurant and leaving through the other side. Self serve fountain drinks and some bottled drinks are available Limited desserts available including cookies, brownies, and a cinnamon bread. Usually leave wanting more. It's easy to spend over $25 for two and still wanting more. There are a few combo specials available but not great deals for family's of 3 or more. Just an average meal and service. No WOW factor for us.

Normally I would forgive the rogue meat-stick byproduct, but I selected the "glove change request" option, which I never would have thought to request, but figured, "why not?," since it was an option provided. I couldn't help but think the pepperoni was an f-you from the cook. I hope that isn't the case, but will always wonder.

Being from the area, I cannot believe I have never heard of this place before. I put it on my short list of places to try, and one day when out in the Monroeville area, I was finally able to stop. Like I said, the concept is simple. This place serves pizza. There is one size, and some toppings to choose from. At the time of writing this, pizzas are $8 and it is cash only. The price includes any toppings you want to put on. They are open Thursday through Sunday from 4 until 7:30. Orders are placed over the phone, and then picked up through the side/basement door of a normal residential house. We placed an order for three pizzas, and they were to be ready for pickup in about 30 minutes. We got one Pepperoni, one Mushroom and Onion, and one with Sausage and Extra Cheese. When we arrived, there was another person picking up, but our pies were hot and ready. The ladies working were quick and kind. The pizzas are truly so good! The crust is not too thick or too thin, and the sauce is a sweeter one. All of the pies we got we liked, but the sausage was a true winner for us personally. One pizza could easily feed two or three people, and they are cut into 8 slices. I cannot wait to have this place again. The pizza was great, the ambiance and entire operation give off everything that classic Pittsburgh is about - no frills, but a great product. Plus, you cannot beat the value. Will definitely be back soon!

I have eaten here numerous times in various ways. I've had delivery, picked up take out and eaten in. Every time food was tasty, the right temperature and arrived in a reasonable amount of time. I like that they have a wide variety of pizza and wing options. So many unique flavor profiles. If you ever want to try a larger variety of wings, they have an all you can eat wing special on Tuesday evenings. I will say that can take some time, but that is because wings can take awhile, especially if you order them crispy like I do. I also love their Cluckin' Hot Rolls which are bread filled with buffalo chicken, hot sauce and are served with homemade ranch. My mouth is watering a bit just thinking about them! The inside of the restaurant has two sides - the bar and the regular restaurant. They are very divided, so you don't get any bar noise into the main area. It does get a little loud, though, in general. Overall, though, a great place that I really enjoy.

Caliente is becoming a Pittsburgh staple.. with shops in most local sports stadiums and such. They have great promos and always keep up with the latest trends. This store has great staff. Very attentive. Dedicated spot at the bar for takeout orders. Even when they got hosed by the corporate mandate to use third party delivery drivers, the local staff refunded, refired, and even made corporate send me a gift card. I grabbed the Chicken Ranchero Medium Pizza and the Pep-Tastic Cheesinator. Both were phenomenal. Great spread of quality toppings. Delicious crust. I would honestly consider getting more of the cheesinators. It was only $12 while the medium pizza was $22... meanwhile the cheesinator was the same size, if not bigger. Like I said, never order delivery from here... go in, talk to the local staff, and enjoy some delicious food
