Wow! Baer's after 15 years of being a loyal customer you are really disappointing. BUYER BEWARE DO NOT PURCHASE THE "PROTECTION PLAN". This is a 3rd party vendor and they will find any loophole to get out of fixing your furniture. My sofa still has the tags on it and a lovely stain. I have gotten the run around for over a month. Felt like I was stepping back in time. Very little variety, 6-8 month wait time on custom- which I know is not their fault. The sales person insisted I go to the 2nd floor to see the leather furniture even though I told her twice I didn't like leather. She put me on the elevator and said she'd check on me in 10 min. I have purchased many pieces of furniture from Baer's in Naples and have experienced excellent service from purchase through delivery. I've purchased brands Tommy Bahama, Lexington, Best chairs and more. Baer's can be pricey compared to other furniture stores but if you comparison shop and purchase during their semi-annual sale the pricing is comparable. Even the Hickory Furniture mart cannot beat their pricing in many cases. I am in Naples FL and Indianapolis IN and have purchased from N-- and L-- furniture stores in Naples and have experienced problems during purchase, delivery and finally with poor quality in the case of L. L furniture even refused to honor our extended warranty and care service less than 1 year after the purchase I will never enter these stores again. I keep going back to Baer's and get the same great service every time. Please do your due diligence and read reviews on brands and styles before you finalize your purchase. The sales' people will sell you what you want and of course more $ spent for the company is better. Ask about upcoming promotions, waiver of delivery fees and special pricing for large purposes. comparison shop, even contacting Hickory Furniture mart to see if they can beat local pricing, many times price is 1/2 what it is at big name stores outside their sales' events. read more

Went in today and everything is very Florida, of course. There's a sale but everything is still thousands of dollars. Still beautiful regardless. Unfortunately, there was some older man at the front very loudly calling out the other worker. Calling her out because she didn't teleport to the door when we got there, humans can't move that fast buddy. Maybe you should be at the door then. read more

I had never gone to this store and literally it is the most beautiful furniture I have ever seen. The designs are some classy, modern, and some give me a tropical feel. One table I fell in love with is mixed of wood and metal. The price is expensive but the quality is superb and will last a life time. read more

I need to frame my comments by giving some background information. We're in our 70's and needed new living room furniture. Though we are frugal, we concluded that we should splurge and buy quality. So we went to Baer's and found a beautiful leather set in the show room. As fate would have it, two of the three pieces were damaged which we only learned well after delivery. Our first impulse was to panic! Baer's has our money and we have damaged furniture. We reached out to the firm and EVERY SINGLE employee from the deliverymen, sales personnel and leadership had one aim. They intended to "make it right" in their words. Amazing customer service! I just moved here from CA and needed a bed and sofa stat! So I stopped by Baer's in so. miami. Nicole showed me around and first we did the sleep/mattress test on their digital test bed. (It was cool) I was surprised the test didn't suggest 'the most expensive' bed. It gave a range of options. Glad I trusted this bc I have been sleeping like a king! Then we looked at sofas and I found the one. Preface: I hate reading long-winded Yelp reviews so I'm trying to keep it short! Next we talk delivery. It was Wednesday 15 min before closing. Nicole says I can guarantee Saturday del. I tell her my building doesn't allow weekend dels. :/ She makes a call (at 9:45pm!) and says we can get it to you Friday. I was like omg you're amazing. She says, it's a family owned company so we can work magic when we need to. So next I select a sofa/sectional with right facing arm, then I get home and realize I need left facing arm. I go online to adjust my order, but I only specify one piece! So Friday my bed and sofa show up, but the chaise portion was a right facing arm. The del guys (who were absolutely amazing, courteous, and cleaned up everything) tell me they need to call the office and get it sorted out and that this has never happened. Then I looked at the paper work and saw that it was indeed my mistake! I spoke to the lady at the w/h and she apologizes and says it's their mistake bc they should have caught that these two pieces didn't pair up. I insisted it was mine bc I changed the order last min on an expedited order..that they so kindly accommodated. Then, she calls back 45 min later to say they were sending a special truck to switch out the piece within an hour. I was speechless. I thought for sure this would be next week. So, in short (which I know this review is not), I witnessed a sincere company culture throughout my experiences with everyone at Baer's, and that was to put the customer first. we purchased a mattress from baers . they said you had to use it for 30 days in order to be able to see if the mattress a good fit. we used it for 30 days came back and they changed their tune. they said you cannot return after 7 days all you can do is exchange it . we are still waiting for their corporate office to approve the exchange. read the fine print you only have 7 days to return it. and exchanging it is up to the corporate gods to approve. Since May 2017 I have attempted to work with the beer store on Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale Florida to resolve the issue of them ordering the wrong sofa and delivering it to my home. I paid for the sofa and four and June 2017 and I still have not received the correct sofa or a refund after numerous attempts to resolve the issue with the manager. I specifically ask for written promise that if I did not receive the sofa by March 5, 2018 that I would receive a full refund. The manager refused. I find this totally unacceptable from a large store that sent me the wrong sofa in the first place. read more

I ordered furniture from Baers in May 13 2016. Since I had not heard from anyone for the week and having questions , I called to check on the status and after several calls ( no answered back) was told the seller person did not work any more for Baer's. We should call again on Monday to speak with the manager. So I decided to go to the store and speak to the store manager. Some one tells me he was not there. This was on a Friday so she told me he would look into this and asked me to call him on Monday for an update. Same day the person at the desk called the owner Kathy Baer. I asked her to stop the purchase and give time to think about all that process. The person I spoke to was rude and told me "Sr do you read on the back of the contract the merchandise is not refundable" It is any thing else that I can help you". Today she repeated the same. It is a nightmare. We do not want to deal with those persons, but they have over money. Oh and by the way, it is "not their policy to refund money". So, if you buy from Baers, make sure you use a credit card so you can dispute the charges! read more

I have had nothing but problems with this business. The sales associate was a shady lier. She looked good, dressed nicely, & acted polite. However it became obvious that her main goal was to make her commission regardless of what lies and or acting dumb she had to do, not to be honest and serve the customer. I went there and purchased a dinning table, chairs, & hutch. It was a special order was to take 8 -12 weeks to get. I paid half down. I also purchased a mattress which I did get delivered the following week. I had a very nice bedroom set that I needed to find a new home for and asked this woman if she knew anyone who might be interested in it, I showed her the photos of the set and she commented that her daughter would love the bed. I told her that if her daughter would take the whole set she could have it. But she said no she would only want he bed. I told her that I did not want to separate the set as it was very expensive and a donation center could make some money on it for a cause. She told me that her and a friend had a business on the side where they sold nice used furniture.After days of her calling me telling me that her friend was on her way to pick up the furniture, I gave up and called a donation place to get it. The night before the donation center came to get it I get phone calls from this woman every hour telling me her friend was 5 minutes away with a truck. This went on for 4 hours. At 9:30 pm there is a knock at my door, there stands a woman with a man who is sitting on the hood of my cadillac, they have a small hatch back car parked in the street and are insistent they can fit a 9 piece lexington bedroom set in this car. I sent them away. Five minute later I get a call from the sales associate apologizing. About three minutes after that her phone Butt Dialed me and I listened to her having a conversation with telling someone how pissed off she was that they didn't get the bed for her daughter. The conversation was in spanglish and she said all you had to do was get the bed and tell them you would be back for the rest and just not show back up. This showed me her character. I called back several times to do more business, the woman who answers the phone there was rude each time I spoke with her. I had asked her if someone there could help me to locate a piece of furniture. She was insistent that I had to use the sales associate I had already used. When I told her I didn't care who helped me this woman said " Really Cause the associates do." At that point I asked to speak with the manager and was told he was on the phone and I would have a really long wait. I told her I would wait 5 minute and then I was getting in my car and coming down there. He was then made available. And apologized for her behavior. I told him that I wanted to speak with someone about a piece of furniture and despite my explaining to him that I did not care if it had been the woman I was working with, he had the original associate call me back. Again this woman was unprofessional, I asked her for a wood swatch on a certain piece as it was not available in store. She said she would call the rep. Six weeks later I still heard nothing from them. So I purchased a piece elsewhere. On week 10 I called to find out where my dinning set was. This same associate told me she would " Call the Rep. and call me back that day. Four days later she told me she had spoken to the rep, the table and hutch were available but the chairs were not. I said send what you have and was told they were not allowed to do that , I had to wait for all the pieces. I asked when the chairs would be available and was told again she had to speak with the rep. She said just give her 2 days. Three days went by and I heard nothing. First I called the corporate office and left messages for an Ira Baer to call me. I also spoke with the customer service unit about everything, I then called the manager back and told him everything, he seemed very upset. He called me back the following day and assure me that the table and hutch would be delivered to my home the following week. The next week the furniture was not available as it was still up north somewhere. I again called the corporate office and asked to speak with Ira Baer, Im still waiting to hear from him. I then spoke with a woman named Sue Dame who claimed she would have been told by Mr Baer to deal with me. I have to say she didn't seem to concerned about anything and made the excuse that they deal with people all the time who just want there furniture right away...???? I have since spoken with several friends whom have told me they too had nothing but problems with purchases they made through Baer's Furniture. They were made promises which did not happen. DON'T WAIST YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY... LOOK UP THE PIECES YOU WANT AND BUY THEM RIGHT OUT OF THE CAROLINAS. THIS COMPANY DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER AT ALL. A move last year sent me furniture shopping to fill out several rooms. After trying department store furniture departments, we found our way back to Baer's after many years away. We were lucky enough to get Margaret Haggerty as our home furnishings consultant. She was great helping us. We have returned twice for additional purchases. The variety in the store is great. The only challenge is missing the entry to the store with it's location on US 1 at a difficult intersection. read more

I was inspired with looks for both indoor and patio this is really a 1 stop shopping furniture selection, I worked with Michelle Singh and she was very helpful in assisting me with window treatments, as well as custom area rugs, a custom sofa and a beautiful bedroom set that was in there show room. design services are also complementary. Michelle is wonderful I was recommended to her by a friend who purchased a home in the keys and Michelle made multiple visits there to make sure all measurements were taken and delivery went smoothly.
