She notified the server who suggested removing the crab so she can eat the shrimp. The contaminated shrimp! She really suggested my daughter eat the contaminated food! My daughter had lost her appetite and refused to eat the food which could have made her severely sick and left. Her friend paid for their meal but my daughter did not pay for her combo 2. The staff was indifferent about the situation and did not offer an apology or any suggestion to rectify the issue in a satisfactory way. First I want to start off by saying if you're a boiling crab lover coming from the bay THIS place will NOT satisfy that craving. I really wanted to enjoy it and came with a positive view on this place because the pictures looked satisfying but unfortunately the quality of the food was not good. I ordered a clam chowder which was one of the first items to come out and it tasted watered down. We also ordered a basket for shrimp and fries which was probably the most decent edible item although the fries didn't have much flavor but it was doable. I ordered the combo #1 with Original Cajun sauce and a side of lemon pepper sauce and both the sauces looked exactly the same and I did not taste any Cajun in the sauce whatsoever. The smell and taste of the sauce reminded me of tomato soup. I tried so hard not to compare and find the uniqueness in this restaurant but I was forcing myself to enjoy the food and each bite was just distasteful no matter how much lemon I tried covering the sauce up. I'm a local. It was our first time at the restaurant. We walked in and there were 4 employees standing at the hostess counter. It took about a minute and a half for any one of them to acknowledge us. There was a 45 minute wait, but we were offered seating at the bar. Once at the bar there were 2 workers talking to a group of customers sitting directly next to me. They carried on a good 3 minute conversation before the person I was with had to ASK if we could get some service. After another 4 minutes the waitress comes and explains the menu and starts our orders. With the exception of our waitress (who was very friendly) the rest of the serviced was horrible. The bar staff was using profanity like the were sitting in their livingroom with friends and they were not at all attentive. The food, however, was delicious. If it wasn't for the service (or lack thereof) I would probably have been a frequent customer as well has recommended it to my associates. But after waiting well past the estimated time, we checked back in with the host, only to find out we had been removed from the list completely. No explanation. No apology. This is our go-to place if we want good seafoods. Together, the lighting and music created an ambiance that was both vibrant and comfortable, enhancing the flavors of the fresh seafood and the overall dining experience. This restaurant truly understands how important atmosphere is, and it made our night all the more memorable. However, on another note, the reception staff could use improvement. First impressions matter, and the initial welcome lacked in warmth. A more attentive and courteous approach would better match the quality of the rest of the experience. All in all, the ambience and food are worth coming back for--but I hope to see improvements in customer service at the front. As you can see before we had tried this location on a to go basis, and in full transparency, we were reached out to buy the management. They did offer us to return with some sort of gift card. We never received anything as far as the gift card/certificate and just decided if we were going to try it again, it would be on our own accord. This time we dined in & had appetizers and seafood. I'd like to start off by saying the lemon pepper wings were absolutely delicious even though they do have breading on them. Surprisingly they were amazingly good to us. It was the favorite part of the meal. For me anyway.We had combo number three with king crab legs shrimp with no heads and we added two lobster tail and eggs. Unfortunately the lobster was cooked way over done and it was so rubbery I did not finish my tail. I would be very surprised. If what we got were in-fact king, crab legs, and not snow crab legs, but we never like to say anything when we're eating there because you know you hear way too many horror stories of sending your food back. Onto the shrimp if was good the crab was cooked well it was just a very small amount(1lb?) and we had originally ordered a 2nd pound of the crab and they didn't charge us for it but they didn't bring it to us either. I stand on just heading to San Jo and eating at boiling crab, it's just far far superior food. The sauce was wayyyy to buttery here and they don't double bag it so it's hot af to touch (they don't mix the bag they just put all the seasoning on the bottom with the potatoes and sausage and corn and all the seafood on top) and it was leaking all over the table. I think the pro tip for them would be to start double bagging the boils. It's just easier for everybody. I do like that they give gloves that actually fit, the bib that they give you for the crab you do not have to tie it slips right over your head and I think that is super helpful. Also, they give you scissors! That is a major plus, scissors do change the game when you're cutting open crab legs when we go again, probably not. Are we glad we gave them a second chance? Sure. Notable mentioned this little robot that everybody talks about the brazier food is ridiculously dirty the fact that they save a lot of money by not having a food runner and investing in a robot they should at least have someone cleaning it down after every plate is brought to the table -I took a picture of it as you can see it's kind of super dirty. read more

I've been here so many times and will come back for sure again and again for that sauce and service of the place. Went there when they first open was very scared to go because of the reviews I read about customer service. When I first checked in the hostess told me to wait because there was only 4 waitress' even though the place was pretty empty. I can see where this doesn't sit well with customers.
