This is by far one of my favorite bagel spots in Queens. The bagels are always fresh and make for the perfect BEC or BLT. I'm also a huge fan of their jalapeno cream cheese, and Chipotle Chicken hero. I would pass on the chicken salad which I found a little dry and veggie tuna if you don't like peppers. Make sure not to pass up their desserts! My favorites are the Jonathan's rainbow cookies, whole wheat M&Ms cookies, and their vanilla or chocolate crumb cakes are a MUST!! Used to be way better. Looks like there are new owners. Bagel thin on one side thick on the other. Bacon egg and cheese has no bacon (for the past three times I ordered) if any one piece of bacon which can barely taste. Burnt coffee and very poor customer service. Lady didn't even want to put another bag and stuck the muffin on the he top with most of it sticking out of the bag. Tell them not to toast the bagel they still do. The list goes on. Oasis Bagels is a bit far from me , but anytime my wife or i go into the city, We always stop and pick up a dozen as it is on the way home. I had to go into the city today any way so on my way back i stopped at oasis bagels. It was crowded inside and there was a line. The line moved pretty fast though. I got a dozen mixed bagels, They must of just came out of the oven as they were still warm. Before i got out the door i already had one in my mouth, um um good. Meh I was not impressed. My friend and I shared the egg salad on a jalapeno bagel and the tuna salad on an everything bagel. The egg salad was really bland because they didn't put enough mayo in it. I normally don't like too much mayo in my egg salad but the amount that they put in was like almost none...Only get the jalapeno bagel if you can handle the spiciness! Even after eating it, my mouth was still burning because of the leftover jalapeno pieces! I did like the tuna salad bagel more though and I thought the everything bagel was pretty good. Awesome bagel breakfast spot on the go right before work. I used to think bagels are bagels - they all the same. But no.... their bagels here are so good! Super chewy and just slightly crispy on the outside. I've had their breakfast bagels with sausage egg and cheese multiple times with their cheddar cheese bagel (one of my fav's) and they've never failed me. Their nova lox bagel sandwich was also great! They are very generous with the lox slices. Their coffee is honestly not my favorite.... but it's your typical deli style coffee. Other than that, great bagel shop! read more

We stopped by just for this little bagel store. I got a whole wheat bagel with light cream cheese for only $2 and my fiance got a plain bagel with chicken salad for $6. I was surprised on how small the bagel was. I guess I was expecting regular size bagel but these were deli size 4" bagel I believe (dont know the actual length). But I am happy they have light cream cheese and they did pack my bagel with a lot of it so it does balance it out. Regardless, I still like my bagel and it was worth trying it out. The cream cheese was amazing but the bagel was missing something. I have tried a lot of bagels so I know when the taste of a bagel was missing a certain yummy amazing bagel taste. Don't get me wrong the bagel was good but I came here thinking I will find a awesome local bagel shop that sells or make amazing bagels. It just didn't live up to my expectations. It is a nice place to stop by if you are near the fresh meadow amc movie theater or shopping at kohls and other stores. My fiance loved his plain bagel with chicken salad. He said the plain bagel was good. Though he and I agreed that the bagel size was disappointing and he didn't feel satisfied after eating it. Next time when I am in the area I will stop by to try their plain bagel, but it is not worth it to go out of my way just to come back here. This is the best bagel place in the area. The bottoms are always crisp while the inside is perfectly chewy. They made some updates in light of the pandemic to reduce density in the shop and maintain distance. They offer lots of flavors of cream cheese and their ice coffee is 10/10. read more

Bagels are top notch and I love the cream cheese selections. I had an egg sandwich which was perfect and exactly to order. Not to greasy and the turkey bacon was nice and well day. The service was efficient and pleasant. I was in and out in about 4minutes. I will be stopping here more often to try some of the other cheeses like the to-fu. But when I went in there was no line, so it seems that we came at the right time but right after we ordered there seemed to be a continuous line. it moved quickly because they had plenty of staff. they had a decent breakfast special, coffee and egg, bacon and cheese for 3.99 I substituted the regular cheese for cream cheese I want to say it was 50c more and boy do they pile it on. i got it on a Jalapeno bagel (that it my opinion was a bit stale) All together it tasted good and the coffee was spot on. The incident was unfortunate but if you go there u see there are neighborign stores and an upper residence that could be causing the problem. Kind of hard leaving reviews for places you won't visit frequently. When you see a place you might grab a bite to eat, you should check to see how much traffic they get. A location off of a highway, in a quiet neighborhood, with no less than 5 employees that you can see, running around getting orders ready, should tell you how good the food is (or how good it should be). Just because you're in NYC doesn't mean you're going to get good bagels, and most of the time, good bagels are in easily accessible by train areas. This place is not, BUT, they fit the "good NYC bagel" bill! FOOD Onion bagel w/bacon scallion cream cheese and sliced lox SO good! The cream cheese has a nice consistency, and they are not cheap with it, thank god. The sliced lox is also very good (not the best I've ever had but good), and they put a nice helping of slices on there. Whole wheat everything bagel w/maple bacon cream cheese The cream cheese tastes like breakfast. Syrupy goodness. Love. LOCATION Definitely need to drive here, or take a bus. Not far from St John's University. Street metered parking available outside. The place inside has a few tables to sit and enjoy your food which is nice, but it can feel crowded quick. PRICE For the two above bagels, a coke and a nesquik, it was about $15 (the bagel w/lox was $8). Standard and fair pricing THE BAD We arrived at noon on a Saturday, and they were out of a ton of bagels already. If you're open 24 hours, I would think you would have bagels available on a rolling basis. They had some in the oven, but it was going to take too long so we opted for other choices. They were also out of iced tea, and wouldn't toast the cheddar bagel (because of the cheese on top I assume). I wish they had a grill to toast face down or something (a la Asiago bagel from Panera or just put cheese pieces IN the dough!) OVERALL I'd definitely come back, especially since they're 24 hours! Finally had it with this place. The bagels are ok, but there's an employee who seems to be there during the night shift, who I'd prefer not to do business with. He's usually wearing some kind of string necklace and he doesn't seem to have much of a regard for personal hygiene nor food safety. Last time I was there he sneezed while preparing my bagel and after giving his nose a quick wipe with the back of his glove, didn't feel it was necessary to change gloves, nor get a new bagel. Even before the incident, he had always been discourteous. Whenever I'd say "thank you" after receiving my order, he'd never say anything in return... Instead, he just gives you a look like he hates you and his job. He's been working there for quite a while. Perhaps if he ever leaves I'll give them another chance. Their bagels are freshly made and absolutely delicious. This is the first bagel place I've come across that has blueberry bagels, it makes an awesome combo with the blueberry cream cheese. And I love that they're so generous with their spreads! I mostly get their sausage egg and cheese over cheddar bagel, and the E9 over garlic bagel (bacon egg and cheese with hash brown). This place is close to were I live so I come here for breakfast/brunch pretty often. Quality - 4.5/5 the bagels are on point. Nice and soft with A LOT of cream cheese. Different varieties as well. My go to is the scallion cream cheese. The sandwich special with bacon and egg is good but it's too dry. I wish they would put some butter in it. The coffee is meh but let's be honest here. It's not Starbucks. Get it with cream and sugar and you will be good. Price - 4/5 as someone who is tight about money, price for a meal is very important. Now $3 for a bagel with scallion cream cheese is a bit too much. For $3, I could get (2) Mcchickens from mcdonalds. Service -5/5, the crews there were quick and friendly. We come here almost every weekend to pick up bagels and egg salad. This morning I picked up an egg salad, my wife ate some noticing it tasted funny, then I put half of it on my bagel, tasted it, and it was bad. Brought it back and the guy in the back tells me "next time don't eat half of it". I wouldn't say putting egg salad on a bagel and throwing it out "eating it". Actually, they not only owed me for the egg salad, they owed me for a ruined bagel. The comment was rude and unnecessary and I had to go out of my way to come back and get my money back. Just tried bagel oasis for the first time and it did not disappoint! The lox with cream cheese on an everything bagel with added tomatoes and onions was amazing! I also got the sausage egg and cheese on a roll and that was decent but after having the lox, it could not really compare. The coffee was on the sweeter end but was decent. I also noticed that they sell the lox and the different cream cheese flavors as well so you can buy some and bring it home to make yourself which is amazing. Service was super quick and prompt! I tried them many times but the workers can't seem to understand customers service. They DO NOT pick up the phone in the early mornings, but open when you drive by. Breakfast sandwiches are sloppy and not easy to eat. My last sandwich had avocado only on one the left side. The turkey bacon was like wet octopus legs between soggy bread that was not toasted. went here for lunch & ordered a pickup order online. i live pretty close but it's the first time i've been here, i heard good things. upon walking in, i was completely ignored. there were at least 4 workers who looked me dead in the eye and just ignored me. i was the only one in the shop. all i needed was someone to hand me my order but everyone acted like they were blind and couldn't even say "hi." i also work in food service and was appalled they act like this. not only that, i ordered an iced coffee only to get a scorching hot one. the bagel wasn't bad but first and last time i'll ever be going there. absolutely disgusted read more

I liked the cheese sticks and salt sticks a little better than the bagels. The reason I am doing bagels now is that authentic bagels are becoming less and less available in NYC. That has to do with transplants who have moved in who want brunch or a sit down breakfast and not bagels. NYC was always a place where people eat breakfast on the run if at all. There were not many sit down breakfast places unless they were in hotels or 24 hour diners. It used to be that almost any deli had authentic bagels. Since they are becoming more rare I want to review authentic bagels before they become extinct! But the final verdict according to me is that it is not worth a trip all the way out here unless you are in the neighborhood anyway. They are just okay. They are resting on their reputation as far as I can tell! If you are having a bagel midlife crisis like the writers of Serious Eats and want to find out for yourself by all means go. You know...I grew up on this place. Every weekend before the divorce and then every other weekend afterward that I stayed with my Dad as a kid, he'd get my sister and I fresh bagels and bialis, when he went to dump his landscaping truck... But, last year, I stopped by there(as I do everytime I'm in my old neighborhood, visiting my aunt and cousins), and...as I ate my everything bagel on the way back to Jersey, right before getting on the turnpike(thus, too far to turn back), I felt a weird...texture in my mouth. I took it out, and turned on the overhead light in the car, and saw that I was holding a thick wad of hair. HORRIFIED, I looked at my bagel and saw that another, seemingly INTENTIONALLY CUT wad of human hair was cooked into my bagel!!! I cannot express the disgust I have, even now, thinking of the incident--it's my WORST nightmare--hair in food, and Bagel Oasis was always a childhood standby, a place I LOVED. I'd like to think that was just a one-time thing...I might even get bagels from there again, but I know I'm going to end up picking the things apart before I eat them, just in case :( read more
