The place used to be better. As of late I noticed that the bagels often taste stale, as if they only make fresh ones every other day or so.

Bagel Villa is, hands down, the best! Let's start out with the quality of the food. The bagels are OUT OF THIS WORLD! The variety of bagels and their freshness is what I like most. They offer great breakfast platters and sandwiches that are unique and delicious. If lunch is more your style, Bagel Villa has outstanding sandwiches, paninis, and wraps. My favorite lunch sandwich is a tie between the Bay Ridge and the Greek panini; their tzatziki takes the sandwich to a whole new level there! Drinks? Get an iced coffee! My go to is their French Vanilla Iced Coffee. The big chains got NOTHING on Bagel Villas coffee. Made to order JUST THE WAY YOU LIKE IT! But what really stands out? Their customer service. It's great to see a mom and pop shop that is so family oriented. They really get to know their customers and make us feel like part of the family. They know so many people who come in by name and it makes you feel really special. So if you are looking for quality food with quality service, this is the place to go! read more

Service was really friendly/respectful on each of my visits to Bagel Villa (If we're being honest, I would really love to live in a villa made of bagels). I bought four bagels with different combinations of toppings, coffees, and juice on my last trip, and it came to about $16. I go here 1-2xx a week normally after running errands in Bay Ridge;majority of time I get whole wheat or pumpernickel bagel with scrambled eggs/bacon and key here is I always get charged $4 which is fine.This past Friday I stopped by ordered same thing was rang up $4 as per usual which I handed to server;however as I turned my back to walk away the server starts vociferously yelling turns out at me as if I was trying to steal something; he then tells me that it was $4.36 cents and that I owe him 36 cents;I was tired and hungry so I just quickly handed over additional change and went on my way;however #1 over period of a few visits always charged me exactly $4 and #2-didnt appreciate being yelled at like I was attempting to be a "criminal" that truly pissed me off;in any case too many choices in terms of bagel places in general and in Bay Ridge so though I liked their bagel egg sandwiches that now is last they will see of me there they need to teach their staff how to talk and treat their customers!!! read more

This is the new goto place for bagels in bayridge. Crusty on the outside and chewy inside. The owner is a delightful lady, always friendly courteous service. I tried their croissants and muffins a few time, they are OK but nothing special. Soups and sandwiches are also very good. This place is a must try if you are a bagel connoisseur. read more

Bagel Villa has the best bagels in Bay Ridge - hands down. They have whole wheat everything bagels which I love and for some reason are hard to find in this area. They have a great variety of cream cheese (mmm yummy sun-dried tomato) and the usual special sandwiches of a bagel shop. What initially drew me into this particular shop was the soup! I smelled a fantastic chicken noodle soup while I was in a nearby hardware store. I had to know where it came from. While sometimes a bit salty, I am now a big fan of their soup, especially the bean, the chicken rice and the lentil. Extra points for the $7 minimum delivery. read more

First things first , I want everyone to know that I've never experienced such horrible service that it drove me to write a review. This place is right down the block from me . I do not cook regularly so I rely on neighborhood places such as Bagel Villa to fill my tummy up . Now , I am not exaggerating that between my husband and I , We probably order whether its take out or delivery from here on average 7-10 times a week . Sometimes, twice in one day . Now one morning a few weeks ago , I ordered a meal . I cannot recall which one but it was decent . It was around 7 a.m when I ordered it and everything went smooth . I then ordered again around 1 p.m. However I ordered for 7 dollars instead of their $10 minimum. Again , I live right up the block and I've already ordered 6 hours earlier. Now the woman who owns this place is the one that took my order but I could already tell by the way she sounded on the phone shes wasn't happy that I had ordered below the minimum but was willing to deliver to me anyway . Sounds great right? *** 25-30 minutes later*** My order came .. awfully late for walking right down the block right? But I didn't complain I was happy to eat . My order was a Bacon and eggs on a bagel with whatever else and orange juice. So I unwrap my sandwich just to find that whoever made my order did NOT include the eggs. -____- I am SO serious . The eggs which is an essential part of my sandwich is no where to be found . Now, I figured this was an honest mistake so I chuckled it off and called back . A worker other than the owner answered and was shocked but apologized said he was sending me another sandwich (which is an obvious must ) and we laughed it off and I thanked him stating its okay that I didn't mind the incident . Now 15 min later I get my delivery and I am being charged for the meal . I told the man how am I being charged for their mistake . He said "Well mam there are two sandwiches here." Well , I did not order two sandwiches , all I wanted was for my One to be corrected . So I took my free sandwich and apologized to the man stating that I couldn't take the other one because I did not order it . Here's where it gets good .. I call the owner back because I honestly felt bad that they had to waste food for yet another sandwich . The woman had the most disgusting attitude ever!!! And said she would have never sent me another sandwich if she didn't think that I had ordered another one . She would've simply just sent me the eggs that I was missing ( saying this in the most condescending voice then hangs up) . Am I the only one that sees this as MESSED up? So it would take her 15 min to send me eggs while the bacon and bagel gets cold and now I would have to then place the eggs on the now cold bagel and bacon my self? Wouldn't it make sense to give a customer who orders so much a nice hot new sandwich? What suddenly made me feel like writing a review you ask? Because now it is 2 P.M in the afternoon and I am hungry and I refuse to give them my business and there isn't much breakfast around here that I can order from that I enjoy. And I saw that they had Horrible Reviews on Google for the same exact thing at least 7 of them . Everyone saying how disrespectful these people are. So I no longer felt alone and decided to let everyone on yelp know that if you have another choice , do not give this woman your business. I honestly believe all these reviews below me are FAKE. Went into Bagel Villa the day after a wedding. Ordered the Papa George and a Greek frappe. Probably the one of best frappes I've had, my uncle (who's from Greece) is the only one to rival it. Sandwich was awesome, great bread and pastrami. Ordered some bagels to go. They were also on point. My aunt and uncle both own bagel stores so I know my bagels! Great glass work too! I had a bacon egg and swiss.. everything was there just the bacon was so greasy and tough. Like the lowest caliber of bacon on the market.. By far the best bagels I've ever had. You can taste how fresh the bagels are with each bite. They always have creative and delicious choices in cream cheese selection and the staff remembers you by your name and makes you feel as if your a part of their family by knowing the small but important details.
