This is a Donelson gem. I ordered their Lox bagel and iced coffee and they were absolutely delicious. It's also conveniently located near the Donelson branch of the Nashville public library so it's a great spot to grab some coffee and a bite to eat with a book.

Two versions of the Benny at an outdoor table - one with tomato and one with sausage

The Benny is one of the best bagel sandwiches in town! I always get mine on the Rosemary Sea Salt bagel and add sausage. If you like a sausage egg and cheese, you will love this version! There can be a bit of a wait on weekends, but the staff does a great job of processing the orders quickly and getting food out to everyone. Even when I have thought that the line looked really long, it has never been too bad! This is great place to meet up with friends for breakfast!

Came here for a quick pop in breakfast and it was so good and quick! I tried few menu items and can't wait to come back and try more! Delicious!

My Spicy Everything Bagel (untoasted) with Veggie Cream Cheese was so good!

The Bagels and Cream Cheeses here are delicious. Today was my first time here. I was intrigued by their "Spicy Everything Bagel," so I ordered one (not toasted) with Veggie Cream Cheese. It was delicious. The Spicy Everything Bagel here is not only a bit spicy, but the seasoning is on both the top and the bottom! And the Bagel has the right amount of snap and chew. Pairing the Spicy Everything with the Veggie Cream Cheese made me super happy. The staff were friendly and the latte I ordered was very good. There is a good amount of indoor seating and the entire restaurant vibe is casual. Their pastries also looked really good. I will definitely return soon and I highly recommend the Bagelshop in Donelson.

I been following their story on Instagram - and unsuccessfully tried to visit one of their pop up shop locations. Then I visited their downtown location and fell in love with their bagels. I'm glad they now have a larger store front in Donelson. Had an amazing breakfast sandwich and iced coffee that was reminiscent of new York bagels!! 10 out of 10 would recommend!!!

Amazing bagels! They are soft and chewy, everything you'd hope for in a bagel. I can't wait to go back and try more. The coffee was outstanding, I really like the bean blend they use. They have plenty of inside seating and a nice shaded patio area outside to enjoy when the weather is nice. I got The New Yorker on everything bagel with the feta and garlic schmear. I have no notes, I'm now obsessed with Bagelshop. You don't wanna miss this place.

The perfect neighborhood bagel shop! If you are from up North like me and are picky about your bagels, Bagelshop won't let you down. Their bagels are solid, and their rotation of fun flavors and shmears keep it fresh. We are always greeted with a smile and friendly conversation when we come here, too. Make a day of it by stopping by the Donelson Library, going for a walk at Two Rivers Park, or shopping at Rick's Comics or the Game Cave!

They have really yummy bagels with lox. I loved the coffee here. I am a foodie just traveling through Nashville to visit some friends and had to try a local bagel spot in their Neighborhood.. as a New England girlie who loves bagels-- I could see myself living here knowing there is a delicious bagel spot close by! Woohoo

Turkey Club is my favorite bagel there! This was the perfect amount for an early lunch. Did online pickup, super easy. Staff is always great.

I came here after recommendation by a friend. The shop is kind of hidden in the ground floor of the new apartment building that was built, across from the new Red Door. I visited on a Sunday at mid day so it was fairly busy, but I managed to find a spot to park. The inside is cozy and warm, with very nice windows allowing welcoming sunlight in. I stood in line, and grabbed a paper menu. I was in the mood for a breakfast sandwich. It was kind of hard to choose but I chose "the boss", and told them to substitute bacon in lieu of pork roll. At a later date I may want to try that but for now, I wanted to try the classic NYC BEC bagel. I got it on an everything bagel. They gave me a number and I took a seat. The food was delivered to my table and it did look good. I noticed they did put ketchup on it and it seems they may have been a little heavy handed with the ketchup but I got plenty of napkins so it wasn't a problem. Again I wanted a BEC (bacon egg cheese). The taste was very good, the egg was a scrambled egg and went well with the sandwich. I scarfed it down and enjoyed complimentary water that was available. Since it was so busy, I didn't linger. I would like to come back and try their other sandwiches, but also I would be interested in trying their other bagel types too.

fresh & unique bagels daily! Coffees are delish and service is fast ! They are always coming up with the most fun combinations. Once a month they host a quiet book club where you can order mocktails/coffee and small bites. Super heartwarming and such a good time. Great way to meet likeminded people & enjoy some good food !

Located under The Flats apartments in Donelson Plaza next to the Dollar Tree. Good food and coffee, great music and good aesthetic. I was dissatisfied with my cappuccino , tasted very bitter and burnt. They were nice enough to replace it with a hot latte. Great service!

New Yorker on Spicy everything bagel

As a bagel snob from NY, had to try while in town. Had the New Yorker on a spicy everything and it was phenomenal. Might even go back and grab a half dozen to take back home

It's in a small shopping center at the north limits of the Crieve Hall neighborhood. You can normally find a parking spot in the lot or if you know someone in the neighborhood, walking is an option too. Walk in and order at the counter. Be sure to check the available bagels that day AND any specials, especially the cinnamon bun special. Every time I have been, the staff has been extremely helpful as you navigate the choices. (note - there is a separate window outside to pickup online orders, delivery orders etc. so that helps with inside congestion). There is almost always a line but it moves quickly. On my last visit, they had just completed the March Madness bracket and were featuring the Cheddar bagel with chive cream cheese- $1. As I said, always check the special! They will feature some interesting coffees, bagels varieties and let's talk about the Cinnamon Roll. The first time I sampled the Cinnamon Roll special it was a blueberry pancake version, imagine an amazing cinnamon roll(yes, it's sweet but not overly and has great flavor), with blueberries and cream on top! The only downside is they are very large, but that means you get one to share with your people. Their bagels are really good! You can eat them plain or get some spread for them. (note that bulk bagel orders are not sliced). They also have breakfast sandwiches. To top it off, this has the feel of a real neighborhood spot. Plenty of folks greeting each other, friends connecting, families gathering. Indoor seating with books for the wee folks and some outdoor tables too. I understand they have another location but this is original CHBCO. Definitely worth checking it out!

We had high hopes for Crieve Hall when we found it, but our Takeaway evaluation was simply: meh.

I work in restaurants and this makes it high risk for mistakes. When "our" order was ready, she made direct eye contact with us beckoned us over to pay. It wasn't until after we made it out and home we realized it was the wrong order. There is certainly a gap in training because another individual was taking and calling out names for orders. What I received was somewhat similar to my order but extremely plain and lacking. (No offense to the person who originally made this order.) We also believed it would come out in order so we were called forward shortly after the people who were in front of us checked out. The ambiance is decent, the restaurant is cluttered and the ordering system is poor. The outside of the restaurant has two different signs and entrances/exits. I heard multiple people in line confused about this choice as well. My suggestion to ownership would be to make one entrance an exit only to avoid new customer confusion and streamline the ordering process. The bagel I received was tasty, but fell extremely flat because it was plain on the inside. Again, I received the wrong order so it wasn't at all what I was expecting. I would like to give this place another try and hopefully I receive someone else to take our order.

I love a perfectly executed bagel in the same way that Dale Cooper loves a damn fine cup of coffee. As such, I had kind of given up hope to find an actual bagel in town. Bagels are my birthright…read more I am a New Jerseyan / New Yorker that left the godless north for Nashville 10+ years ago. I was so afraid I would never have another good bagel again that I literally took bagel-baking classes at the Culinary Institute of America. I was right to be scared. For years, Nashville bagels were just bread donuts. Soft circles of steamed sadness committing breakfast fraud. The kind of thing someone hands you and says, "It's basically the same," right before you question every decision that led you south. Then this place showed up. It started as a pop-up inside TKO, R.I.P., and now it has taken over the whole space. This place gets it right. The bagels are boiled, rolled, baked, chewy, crusty, and spiritually accurate. Not "good for Nashville." Not "pretty close." Just really freaking good bagels. No apologies needed. The place looks the way a bagel shop is supposed to look. Concrete floors. Friendly chaos. People working hard behind the counter. And the people? That's the real thing. Mr. Aaron, his wife, and the whole crew are amazing. They know your name. They bust your chops. You bust theirs. That is community. That is customer service with a pulse. They even have a Mets fan, which proves their commitment to authenticity and long-term emotional damage. It's the kind of place you want to go every day, if your wallet, doctor, and basic sense of shame weren't constantly trying to ruin your life. Nashville finally has a real bagel place. I do not say that lightly. I say that as a man who has opinions about crust, chew, schmear, water, and most things. But this place rules. Go. Eat. Complain about the Mets. Order another bagel. Repeat.
