I love Frothy and my food and coffee were delicious. I usually never have any issues with the food or drinks here. I will say the service was an odd experience today. I dined in on my own and the host sat me but then came back to take my order. Normally that's not a big deal, however this time it felt more like I was being rushed to order even though the server who took my drink order was okay with giving me some time to decide. He did this with a few tables near me so it was something I noticed. It was lunch time but this location wasn't as busy as I thought when I went in and was seated. Normally this is a good coffeeshop off the beaten path of downtown and with a full menu is such a plus!

We stopped here for breakfast before being tourists and diving into Broadway. It was the perfect start to our morning! First of all tremendous service. Special shout out to Andy. He went above and beyond to ensure we were having a good experience, enjoyed our food, and were always taken care of. We had their lattes. One of us had the log cabin and the other one had the chai but all of it was tasty. The biscuits and gravy was super flavorful and filling so get that if you want a bigger plate. The eggs bacon and cheese bagel was perfect for a not too heavy breakfast but it was tasty! All in all a lovely place with lovely service and I'd highly recommend! There are plenty of seats here and we went on a Sunday at 9:30ish and didn't have to wait. We came from our hotel so I can't comment on parking.

While staying in Nashville I came in here for breakfast one morning... It was dead when I got there, around 7:30AM on a weekday, but service was friendly and quick. The place is large, with plenty of seating and the menu looked decent. I opted for their Loaded Biscuits & Chorizo Gravy which was quick to come out. I wanted my eggs scrambled, and they were. The dish was actually somewhat cool, which was odd. The sausage/chorizo gravy had a nice look and texture, but was the main thing that was cool - it should never be cool! That tells me they simply re-heated something that was pre-made. The rest of the dish was good and flavorful. The coffee was good. I'll bet if I came a little later in the morning, the food would have been fresher, hotter, and tastier. But, unfortunately, you only get one chance to make a good first impression.

Stopped by for breakfast on a Saturday morning around 10. Place wasn't busy. Got seated pretty quickly but after that the staff seemed to move at their own pace. Which was very slow. Our server should have checked on us more frequently. We ordered French toast and an omelet. Both were only okay. The bacon in my omelet was very good but the eggs didn't have a very good flavor. The bread for the french toast was too thick in my opinion. It also had an overpowering amount of cinnamon. I wouldn't go back.

This place is a vibe and I give it two thumbs up! Today is my last day in Nashville for work and my colleagues and I decided to try Frothy Monkey in downtown for lunch. Upon entry, we were warmly greeted by the host and seated at a nice booth. Our waiter came over to welcome us and offer drink and food options. He was incredibly friendly and suggested the arugula salad with salmon. I ordered the salad and it was delicious. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the balsamic dressing was a hit! Everyone enjoyed their food and was really happy. The ambience is cute, the staff are pleasant and the food is delicious.

First - Love the name. Great location on a cute side street, it was pleasant before we walked in. Big storefront windows allow in a ton of natural light. Our server was so fun. He was friendly and helpful. He made great suggestions and took great care of us. We loved our sandwiches. They were fresh and filling. The vinaigrette on the salad was so good I am still thinking about it. My friend's latte was described as perfect. If I lived in Nashville, I would be a regular at Frothy Monkey.

I ate at Frothy Monkey twice. I had wonderful oat milk cappuccino, and a regular coffee. I also had a salad and an omelette. The food is fresh and delicious. The staff are kind and helpful. The atmosphere is bright, cheerful, and relaxing.

This two story brunch spot is tucked away downtown and it is so adorable. Downstairs were mostly tables for four or more and there were counters/bar top to sit at. I went and sat upstairs and it was like a loft vibe. It was super cute and I got to look outside. It was a rainy day, so it was peaceful. I got the Havana latte with almond milk. It was delicious and a hint of sweetness to it. The sandwich itself was simple yet filling. Eggs can make or break a simple breakfast sandwich and I definitely enjoyed this one. Don't forget the frothy monkey hot sauce! If I could buy it and take it on my carry on, I would. I wonder if they ship the sauce because it was to die for. Overall, service was amazing. Can't complain about the food. I had a great time grabbing breakfast before my next stop in this city.

Just happened to walk by this place while looking for a place to eat. We're staying close by and saw it while driving by. It's a nice restaurant and serves coffee, teas and food. The service staff were very nice. The food was good and probably the healthiest we ate all the time in Nashville. Lisa had a omelette and I had the smash burger. The coffee was good. The ambiance was very laid back and has a rustic feeling inside. There's a second floor looking out to the street. I'm not sure about parking because we walked from our hotel.

Frothy monkey - Water not iced - Menu is meh - Nice music - lgbtq friendly - Decor is mid - Seats are uncomfy - Waitress is nice, didn't catch name but she's short and possibly Asian? - Biscuit boards were yum - Hot chocolate is mid - Bagels came fast, look good - bagels were good, kind of triggered my food texture sensory issues but I was too hungry to care. Still tasted good - Bathrooms are unisex one person only bathrooms, which is nice if you need to take a dump - one bathroom has a ceiling panel missing, which is kind of creepy but it's clean, and cute so..not a problem? - you can take your drinks to go - play good music - 9.5/10 will come back someday

Absolutely love this place! This is a great coffee in the Nashville area. This is a small little restaurant but has a great breakfast/brunch menu. It is absolutely delicious and they cater to all dietary preferences. You'll be sure to find something. The service is also fantastic and very attentive. Definitely a must try and we will return again.

Frothy Monkey is a Nashville staple, famous for quality coffee. I've been here on several occasions and enjoyed the coffee, even considered buying their flavored coffee syrup merch as gifts. Though this location is the most convenient to where I've lived, the hours are not always (whereas other locations are open for dinner and into the evening). Unfortunately, the ambience here hasn't felt warm or welcoming on my recent visits, either. The baristas were kind and talented, but the atmosphere beyond the counter felt cold. I specifically chose to come here with my boyfriend one winter weekend, looking to sit and relax over two lattes, only to essentially get yelled at when waiting near the counter for our drinks (not knowing that was an issue, as others had done so) and then again when starting to head upstairs, not knowing it was closed. Discouraged, we took our drinks to-go; although the restaurant wasn't very busy, it did not feel like there was anywhere we could sit and enjoy our drinks. On my first visit here, years ago, I remember sitting in the cozy coffee shop environment with my mom, enjoying our hot beverages. These later experiences were hopefully a fluke, but I'm wary to come here for anything more than takeout, lately.

It's a short walk from our place to downtown. We started with the biscuits, and the combination of jam and butter was perfect. We tried Lauren's salad, and the dressing and walnuts were wonderful. I also got the Caprese sandwich on a bagel instead of a roll. It was very nice, and we will definitely be back.

I tried to swing by around ten minutes to noon, but it was a disaster. There were heaps of people waiting outside, and it didn't look promising. I went to the hostess stand and asked the guy if I could get a table for one, and he said, "Oh, you can sit at the bar; it's open seating. There's one open seat right there!" So, I walked through and was approached by another worker who asked me what I was doing. I told her the guy said I could sit at the bar, and there was an open seat, even though I never saw one. I did see open seats outside at the bar, though. The bar has two sides, one outside and one inside. It seemed alright; it wasn't too hot or humid, so I went. There were dirty dishes all over the place, and I sat down. Another worker asked me, "Are these dishes yours?" Which seemed a bit strange because the guy works the bar and wouldn't he have known the person sitting there before me left them? Anyway, I said no, and he cleared them. I then waited about 5 minutes before another worker skillfully wiped the bar of debris and then got three menus and three sets of silverware (two more guys sat down next to me) and asked me if I wanted water. I said, "Yes, please." She went off, and then shortly after, I saw the same guy come with a menu and a set of silverware and a water. Thumbs up for the water but thumb down for the slowness. I saw the menu and was torn between pancakes and biscuits. I didn't really want anything heavy, so I got the biscuits and gravy but added an egg. I also got a coffee. The wait time for the food was super quick, and the food was really good. The biscuits are small, and they're okay. The egg was good, but it's kinda hard to mess up an egg. I saw the food the people sitting next to me got, and it looked amazing! Pancakes, etc. Overall, the service was pretty bad, but the food was good. I saw no sense of urgency in the workers when they were obviously swamped. I might come when it's not so busy next time. Side note, maybe I'm showing my age, but the price of regular drip coffee was a bit steep. ($4).

We were seated in less than 10 minutes even though the place was packed. And this was around 11 AM on a Tuesday, so I can only imagine how busy weekends get. The service here was honestly the highlight of the whole experience. Our waitress was SO friendly, funny, and genuinely welcoming. I ordered the veggie omelette with blueberry pancakes, and my boyfriend got the Three Little Pigs omelette with a banana pancake. We also ordered coffee to go with everything and wow... such a comforting, satisfying breakfast. The blueberry pancakes were fluffy, buttery, and filled with sweet blueberries in every bite, while the banana pancake had that perfect caramelized banana flavor that tasted homemade in the best way possible. And PLEASE do yourself a favor and try the cinnamon syrup with the pancakes. It was insanely good and honestly took the pancakes to another level. Sweet, warm, buttery, with the perfect cinnamon flavor... I could probably drink that syrup by itself. What impressed me most is that despite how full the restaurant was, our food came out in less than 20 minutes. Everything felt efficient without ever feeling rushed.
