Rude and hung up on me. I asked if they had Yamazaki 12 and he said they had plenty of bottles. When I asked its price before I got in my car, he refused to tell me and hung up on me. Sus for sure and way to lose a sale. I experienced a similar attitude from the guy in Patrick O's comment from 11/13/2023 and Patricia A's comment from 6/24/21. With that kind of rude attitude, they don't deserve anyone's business IMHO. Recommend you avoid this place and shop somewhere that understands being rude is not going to win you any customers. read more

Rude. Extremely overpriced on bourbon. Although they have some hard to find bottles of bourbon, he is at least 4-5x over msrp. If not more. I was the only customer that walked in, the male shop owner essentially ignored me. I was asking questions and he was cleaning the floor. Then he walked to the back room. I was just about to walk out and leave and then he decided to come behind the counter. When he told me some prices, I told him that he was pretty high on the pricing. He responded, "well, I sell it." Whoever is paying $500 for Michters Toasted Barrel is crazy. It's $300 on the secondary market online and maybe $90 msrp. read more

I like this store and know that it's owned by a wife and husband couple, the wife is a very sweet lady. She's hard working and cheerful every time I come in. However, today I saw the husband handling the cookies with his bare hands. I walked in when he was putting the cookies into the case with his bare hands. I know the wife bakes these cookies fresh every day because she told me and I have bought it multiple times. But what her husband did was not safe or sanitary, especially during these times. I didn't want to put this out but her husband should have known better. Just because he's not eating it himself doesn't mean he can be careless. It's not right. read more

I came into Baggy's Liquors to buy a bottle of bourbon. While I was browsing, I was unceremoniously approached by the store owner, who said out of the blue, "come back when you have money to buy." He followed up his comment with, "beat it," kicking me out of his store. Maybe the owner should have acquired more wisdom by this point in his life. He should spend more time respecting his customers and less time showing poor business acumen by incorrectly judging who may or may not have money to shop in his establishment. I will not be returning to this store, rather choosing to spend money at one of the many stores nearby that values all customers. read more

A really wonderful small town liquor store, tucked away in the Burlingame Plaza. Grew up in the Mills Estates and moved to Boulder Creek, but evacuated here from the fires. The owners couldn't be nicer. My Dad was from a small town in Missouri, and the people here remind me of the kind of shop owners that were around in that era. Great place, great people ! read more

I just picked up a nice bottle of whiskey for a thanksgiving gathering with my girlfriend's family. I wanted to find something unique and just overall great so I could make a solid impression at an important event. I knew to go there first, because I had been for years. Ray and Bibi always help me find what I'm looking for because the selection of whiskeys and bourbons is extensive. Prices are reasonable and service is top notch--they're just awesome people. I've spent time looking at other places but this is my go-to as I find that other places just don't have the same level of service or price points. It'a also a huge plus that in the midst of being busy with life, they're warm and welcoming when you walk in, help me get what I need, and I'm on my way with a smile on my face. OK, The husband is sweet as pie all the time, even when you interrupt his delicious smelling cooking....but the wife, why does she have to have such a horrible bad attitude? I go in for lottery tickets and snacks and such and she is so grumpy and MEAN! I come in with winning lottery scratchers and she is piossed because i do not scratch the little numbers at the bottom? the husband never says a thing and scratches the little numbers at the bottom of a winning ticket. Every ticket is different and i see no where on the ticket that says YOU MUST SCRATCH OFF THE LITTLE NUMBER ON THE BOTTOM OF THE SCRATCHER TICKET? She is very rude and she will lose a lot of customers if she acts this way with them. People can go to Lucky's or even CVS and they have liquor, cigarettes and lottery tickets with a smile! read more

They seem to know most of their customers by name and that tells you how they treat new and returning customers alike. Their selection is great by any standard. I live right around the corner from baggy's and let me say, thank god for the new management. This place used to be useless! Now, a very sweet couple just bought it at the beginning of 2008 and they have really done a number on the place. You can get any type of liquor, beer, wine, cigarette, cigar, snack, candy, mixer....ANYTHING. And if they dont stock it, they will offer to get it for the next time you come in! And they're so nice about it, too! This place has really been a godsend for the neighborhood because I hate going into the big supermarkets just to get a six-pack or a carton of smokes.
