Toronto Review 17/17: We stayed at this pretty nice hotel while in Toronto for a few days. Check-in…read morewas pretty easy, with the hotel having a nice lobby, and the staff in general was very friendly. The biggest pro for this place is that it's right near a bunch of places to visit. From Nathan Phillips Square being literally across the street to a bunch of museums only being 10-15 minutes away walking, it was excellent for the two of us. The rooms were decent with good internet, though they were missing a few things found in better hotels. I think the space could have used another chair or two, as there weren't that many places to put things down. The room felt a bit dark otherwise, and the shower could have used a bit more pressure. Also, breakfast isn't included, but that isn't always the case. We personally didn't check out the sauna, pool, or gym as we were both busy every day. In terms of leaving, they were able to quickly arrange a car service to get us to Billy Bishop, and the price was actually reasonable, being better than Uber or otherwise. If you're looking for a perfectly fine hotel in the middle of everything, I would recommend this place. It's not the best hotel I've ever been to or close to, but it was good, and it definitely fit the purpose. Just need those little things to be an all-star spot.

To access room floor a key card was necessary in the elevator. The key card is also needed to access the pool and fitness center. The room (782) was a little outdated but sufficient for what we needed. The bathroom looked newer but the you had to hold the toilet handle down to make sure it flushes. Water pressure and temp was perfect. Pillows were great: most soft, some a little firmer. Sheets were comfy. It did get a little loud at night both from the streets and from people walking in the hallway. The pool was great! It rained the first night we arrived and people continued swimming under the indoor area. The fitness center is right next to the pool area: they had a lot of updated machines and weights. The hotel is across the street from the large TORONTO sign. Take the escalator down and you're connected to the PATH : which provided access to the 1 subway line. Everything was a 20 minute walk or an $8 Uber ride away. Great location.

Boarding was easy and the seats were comfortable. Pre-ordered our breakfasts - choice of omelet or continental. Except for that croissant muffin, food was meh. Next took the train from Ottawa to Montreal via economy. Again, easy boarding. Although not as nice as business, the seats were still comfortable and plenty of legroom. Traveling by train was convenient and nice experience for the family.

I don't go to Montreal alot during the winter, but I always have a good time using VIA rail. I'm just very disappointed, as Claire Levesque, and her colleagues, Matt and Bridgette are arguing over like a 30$ discount, since the flight was delayed. All they announced on the train, in the business class section was 'you'll receive your next fair at half price, sorry for the inconvenience'. I mentioned that to Claire, and she said yes I'm correct about that, but since it's been over one year, I can't use the discount, but from now on they'll will be announcing the discount expiry date. That obviously does not help my situation at all, everyone please be cause and start recording and reading all their small details that they try to con you on

A bit on the pricier side, but it is walkable to so much stuff - St. Lawrence Market, Aroma coffee, Cecibar, etc. It also has its own restaurant in the lobby which is great for people like myself arriving late and tired and not wanting to go out but also not wanting to just go straight to the room. No parking available onsite but there's overnight parking at a garage 1 block away for $24CAD. I'd definitely stay here again because it's just such a cute spot in a great area - close to public transit as well. @azfitfoodfun

It's a little difficult to find when arriving for the first time, but after being there once, you'll have no trouble. The first thing you'll notice is the cute seating areas that are rather stylish. One night there was even live music. The check-in counter is at the bar of the attached restaurant and the staff was incredibly friendly during my stay. I wasn't in my room much, but while I was there it was small, yet cozy. They had all the amenities that I needed. There wasn't any outside noise that impacted my sleep and the bed was comfy. I did have to adjust the thermostat a few times as it got rather chilly and the table, chair, and TV area was a little janky. I'm not sure I would stay here again as I prefer a more spacious room, but if you're into small spaces and a more unique stay, this would definitely fit the bill.
