It's never been empty when I've stopped in, but I've never had issues with grabbing a table. There are some high seats and tables as well as some lower ones, and self-serve water and drinking glasses in the dining area. You order at the counter and they bring your food out to you. Service is friendly and it never takes too long for your food to arrive at your table. Old World Deli is in my top 3 sandwich spots in Corvallis. This is a great place to take a friend or a medium-sized (4-6) group of people for a sandwich and perhaps a show. Plus, the ambiance, decor, and painted ceiling are really cool!

I like that the location is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of downtown while still being accessible to the downtown area. I will say that the price for the amount of food is a bit prohibitive. There are two different sandwich sizes, but even the larger sandwich can feel a bit minimal. Perhaps if you're visiting for a lighter lunch, the portion would feel better. We ate around dinner time and were pretty hungry, so this will factor into our dining decisions. The sandwiches don't come with a side (aside from a few dilly beans, which are very good by the way), so do keep that in mind. I recommend Swan Dive if you are in a position to spend a little extra on good sandwiches and drinks.

Great place, I especially like their new location! Tasty, fresh food and the bread is fresh and amazing. Staff is friendly and I love the pickled vegetables. I don't know how authentic it is, purists may be disappointed, but I love the food, myself. The steamed buns are perfect for a fast grab and go lunch on a cold day. The only drawback I have found is that it is not easy to customize your food for a picky eater. The staff is nice, but sometimes they don't understand what you mean if you want to substitute, extra something or to leave something off. I usually order the regular baguette, and I like extra veggies if I can get it. read more
