First time going to Bahama Bucks and As Far as shaved ice goes I'd give it 5 stars. I'm knocking off 2 stars for the following. 1- Place could use a quick clean, the tables were sticky and trash on quite a few tables. 2- when I ordered my shaved ice came out in a timely manner, unfortunately they forgot about my wife's completely. Horrible. If I could give less than a 1 star rating I would!!! I placed order in the drive thru. I told the server I was using the Yelp check in for free Cream added to one of our orders. I get to the window and have to wait 5 minutes before someone came to the window. I hand the young man my phone to show the coupon for free Cream. He yells to the shift leader, "hey we have another coupon." He then says, "sorry we don't honor this coupon." I ask to speak to the shift leader, who walks over like I am being difficult and says,"can I help you?" I repeat that we checked in through Yelp and we placed our order with free cream. Kinda horrible. Ordered one snickerdoodle and one gummy bear snow cone online. Came to pick them up (on time) and the snickerdoodle was fine but the gummy bear cone was in awful condition. I wish I could give it a Zero stars! Waited in drive through for two snowballs for 30min! First they kept us waiting at drive through speaker without even acknowledging us for about 7min. Then kept our debit card for about 10min before bringing it back with no receipt. Watching through the window everyone had gloves on touching their face, pulling up their pants, going in and out off the back and playing around looking at each other. I was watching noticeably at the girl making my snowball and she came to the window and asked me " is something was wrong" in return I asked what was taking so long. But we where all ready there and didn't think much of it so we continued to wait. After about 15 mins of waiting we noticed that the people/customers sitting down haven't even gotten their snow cone. So we made the decision to leave not to mention this was the closest Bahama bucks since the others have been closed down. Poor management is where it all starts not to mention all the "workers" there where all kids which is great but their clueless which is a nice way to put. I must have waited 15 minutes to order and 20 mins to actually get my large strawberry cheesecake ice Bahama mama style....Blue Bell ice cream at the bottom, your flavor of shaved ice with some kind of white cream poured around it. Honestly I just thought it was ok at first, semi-regretted it (that price tag is waaaaaaaaaaaay more than any shaved ice I've ever paid for in the past, roughly $5.60 large bahama mama style, 3-4 bucks for regular shaved ice) but when you eat enough to dig those color changing "cool spoons" down and bring some ice cream up, that shaved ice becomes a treat from the dessert angels (not quite from the dessert gods, it ain't THAT good) but it definitely kicked that yummy factor up. It was too sweet in my opinion, but the ice is sooo smooth and melts in your mouth! Although the baby size looks small, they do pile it up like a hill so you actually get a lot. And the cool thing is that the spoon they use changes color based on the temperature. $3 for a baby sized one which isn't bad but I mean you're basically only paying for ice and syrup... I've been to other places where it is a cheaper for almost the same quality ice. I would come back again to try out other flavors or other products. I ordered a half strawberry daiquiri half pina colada snocone and a strawberry banana smoothie. After waiting 20 minutes, they finally bring me a snocone and said "did you order a strawberry colada?" I said "yeah I guess that's mine" (I assumed what I ordered was called that, not to mention I was the only person in the store.)I took a couple of bites and realized it was slightly different than what I normally order. I planned to ask the employee about it when he came back over with my smoothie. Long story short, there was confusion among the employees about my order and was told the snocone I had belonged to someone in the drive thru line. He asked if I'd eaten any of it, I said yes I took took a few bites. So he took the snocone back while another girl began to make mine. I then watched him take a handful of ice off the top of the snocone and proceed to add more flavoring and ice. I asked him "are you using that snocone I ate out of for someone else?" He said "yeah I took off the part you ate." At that point I said "absolutely not. You cannot serve a snocone I ate from to someone else. That's a major health violation and frankly disgusting." You could have heard a pin drop after that. One muttered "I'm sorry" and basically that was it. I got a refund and left. Also, the 3 employees in the store are quite young and clearly inexperienced. They have zero business working without management supervision. While getting my refund, I noticed a lot of cups and trash on the floor behind the counter as well, it was pretty disgusting. I will never return to this Bahama Bucks....what I witnessed was appalling. I wonder how many other times this same scenario has happened? I contacted corporate as well. I stopped by the other day and the line was long, but it went fairly quick. The person taking my order was very polite and when I got my order it tasted perfect! They asked if I wanted it flat topped upsized which confused me but they explained they just give you a larger cup so it doesn't melt in your car and run down the sides of the cup. Now that's an awesome option especially with little kids and for the driver. I'm not sure what the bad reviews are from but they must have hired new people!
