The condo its self is 5/5. A lot of space, balcony for each room in ours, great views. They also had a pool, 2 hot tubs and a lazy river. Beach views and on the water beach access is hard to beat. The only star drop is because the common facilities are not super nice and clean and there is no rule enforcement by the managing company. So people renting that break the rules there are no consequences and sometimes their behavior can interfere with your own enjoyment. read more

The condo was okay - could have been a lot cleaner . The pools were cold / dirty and not well kept at all. The lazy river had 4 tubes. 2 child tubes and 2 adults . Also filthy . Some kid drug the tubes down to the ocean so now there is 1. Very disappointing. I would not recommend. read more

We took off for a week away. This condo was awesome!!! Clean, decorated nicely, comfortable beds... they have it all!! My daughter and her family came for a couple of days and they had plenty of room as well. There are three bedrooms. The master is ocean front with a balcony. I kept standing out there to soak in the waves. It was lovely!! The other two rooms are ocean view, also with balconies. We swam in the heated indoor pool, we watched dolphins go by each evening, and we enjoyed a smoke-free environment. There are so many conveniences-washer/dryer, kitchen, three bathrooms and showers. There is one shower that is just a shower, but the other two have tubs, one being a jacuzzi! TVs in each room, board games, cards, books, puzzles-all sorts of things to keep you occupied in the room. Outside of the room-it is located just a few blocks from the main highway that is loaded with eateries, things to do, shopping, and on and on!! Since it is the off-season, there is some road maintenance happening, and they were dredging offshore where we could seethe boats and equipment. However, none of this bothered us!! Even if you wanted to swim, it was out far enough it would not affect your water play. We had an amazing time!! The only things we were asked to do before leaving were strip the sheets off the beds, turn on the dishwasher if we had dishes, and take the trash out. It was so easy and relaxed!!! If we had any questions, we were able to quickly co tact and hear a response from the owner, and we were on our way! Parking was a breeze, having a large deck. The elevators were always ready for us, and there is a trash chute just down the breezeway from our door. Thank you Bahama Sands for a fantastic time!! We will be back!!! read more

Our unit was nicely decorated and great floor plan. But there were roaches! Two sprays didn't take care of them. After reading other reviews, this is not an isolated issue. Desk for "security" on ground level entrance- never saw anyone stationed there nor around the complex. Says pool bands are required- no one monitoring the pool area so no one wore them. There were 2 inner tubes for the lazy river. We ended up going to buy our own. read more

This was our 2nd trip to this complex. First one was 7 years when it was Atlantic Breeze. Our condo was clean but at times reeked of fish, which we could never find the source. The toilet paper holder in the double queen room was broken. The pieces were left on the bathroom counter when we arrived and were never repaired. The condo needed some paint touch ups in areas where there was no traffic, such as around the heat return on the ceiling. The lazy river was blocked for usage and we assumed it was due to Covid. An entry door on the ground floor was shattered as well and covered in caution tape. Not a welcoming sight as it's the first door you see upon entering the complex. Our neighbors smoked cigarettes and weed on the balcony too. With that being said, you can't beat the price for the room size, view, and amenities. Not sure if we would return or check out another resort. 3.5/5 stars read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would. Our beds were made and there was hair, BLOOD, and scabs in our bed, this tells me they made the bed with all that on there wow. OMG!! The first night was fine. The second night the Hotel had Virginia Tech Fraternity there the week of May 1, 2013 partying. We had to deal with loud and vulgar language all hours of the night, pounding on the walls, tossing of deadly objects back and fourth from room, and smoking of marijuana. Called and complained to the building management and they refused to do anything because they felt that they weren't doing anything wrong. I do not recommend anyone choosing this place when building management rather let 250 college students underage drink on their property, damage the property, and take over the entire place. BEWARE! I booked a place here months before my vacation yet the day before I was scheduled to arrive they told me I had no reservation! I was forced to book a last minute hotel costing me more given it was last minute and the hotel wasn't as nice! I was told they overbooked. There are 12 floors an 1 outdoor pool an 1 indoor pool an a lazy river, 2 outdoor hot tubs. The rooms are great full kitchen an washer/dryer an Tv in all rooms us free DVd rentals. This was our first time staying at the Atlantic Breeze. Last year we had friends staying here and we visited them which is why we decided to come back:.. Unfortunately, we did not realize that there is a "condo side" and a "hotel side." We, unknowingly, got booked into the hotel side and were like, "This room doesn't seem as nice as Tony's did from last year." My husband was not aware that "ocean view" and "ocean front" we're not the same... I could have told him that "view" can mean "crane your neck and squint out of one eye and you can see the ocean." (Well, it wasn't that bad but it was a view of the ocean.) Our room was similar to a standard hotel room. Cheap, banged up, standard hotel furniture, no real "personalized" decorations, etc. and the walls had a lot of scuff marks on them. The kitchen appeared to be somewhat updated with granite countertops and had minimal essentials to cook with (a few pots and pans, utensils, plates and glasses. There was a microwave and dishwasher as well. We had 2 bedrooms (one with a king bed and one with 2 double(?) beds, each bedroom having it's own bathroom. Unfortunately, the bathrooms could only be accessed by going THROUGH the bedroom so when we had kids asleep in each room, you'd have to sneak through to use the restroom. One of our bathrooms wasn't cleaned well. There were dirty black finger prints on the cloth shower curtain, hair remained on the shower wall and there was pee on the floor in front of the toilet. (Eh.) There was also 2 balconies but be aware- there is NO SMOKING on the facility's grounds so my husband could not enjoy the cigar he brought. It rained our whole trip and was freezing cold out but we were luckily able to bring our daughter swimming in the indoor pool. Unfortunately it smelled so strongly of chlorine in there that I got really nauseous and went back up to the room after only a few minutes. I do like the fact that this place has a lazy river and outdoor, yet covered, pool and hot tub as well. I love that there is beach access and a foot washing station!! You can even rent chairs and umbrellas from the resort so you don't need to bring your own! No issues with parking... Though, people do tend to drive like maniacs through the garage. USE THE MIRRORS to see around corners or an accident might occur. All in all, just an average place to stay. The condo side seems to be nicer BUT the owners also are investing their own $$ into making their place nice. Unfortunately, due to it being Easter weekend, we paid a pretty penny for a room that was "meh" and because the weather was terrible, we were basically stuck in there the whole time. read more

We had a wonderful overall stay at Bahama Sands. We booked through the resort (Oceana) and got a great price for 3 nights in May 2020. The rooms were huge, 3 bedrooms each with their own bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, stackable washer and dryer, a dining area that had a table that seated 6 along with 3 stools on the counter. Beds were comfy and furniture was nicer and updated except for one older looking chair in the living room. Check in was easy I got an email the morning of arrival with entry code to common areas and a unique code for the room. I didn't have to check in with anyone as I payed in advance. The room was stocked well with towels and had a small container of shampoo/conditioner and a small bar of soup in each bathroom along with complimentary dish soap and coffee. (You will need to bring your own laundry soap and supplies as there is none provided or any vending areas that have it) The parking was conveniently located on the first 4 floors and we had a parking pass in a packet supplied when we came into our room. Overall very great experience! Best thing about our trip the wonderful views! Only mildly negative thing was there was some dust under the furniture and the place could have a better deep cleaning upon arrival but we plan on coming back very soon! read more

This is our 2nd year renting in North Myrtle beach and am THOROUGHLY DISAPPOINTED! Last year, everything was awesome, we were so impressed but.... This year the furniture, floors and carpets were disgusting. I made the mistake Once of removing my shoes to find the carpets soggy and dirty. I almost threw up! I tried contacting the customer service but they couldn't do anything about it. (they used the COVID EXCUSE). At least the linens were clean. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would! Our room was infested with bed bugs. We woke up in the middle of the night itching and found actual bed bugs (picture attached). The hotel staff moved us to a different hotel and offered to treat our clothes. Evidently, they washed our clothes in hot water and dried using high setting, which shrunk all of the cotton garments. The manager they notified of the situation, Dana Johnson, never made any effort to get in touch with us. Once we finally got a hold of her, almost 2 days later, she told us they haven't had a chance to inspect our room and confirm the infestation, so she had no solution for us at the moment. No apology was offered for the ruined vacation at the time, Dana called us back the next day to let us know the infestation was confirmed and tried to convince us to take a voucher for a future stay with them as compensation. No, thank you! In the end she did offer to refund one night of the stay. Still, surprising, considering the magnitude of the problem - we are now having to deal with consequences: fumigating luggage, treating clothes and other things that were in the hotel to make sure we don't get our house infested. We are also covered with bites (see picture), which are very itchy and swollen. Dana also informed us that many hotels have that problem, I don't know why this is relevant, but I do know we will never go back to that place and not because of the bed bugs - I am sure they will get rid of them soon if they haven't already. read more

My family and I stayed at your resort from 12/28 to 1/1/2022. We were initially supposed to stay until January 2, 2022, however due to bed bug issues. We left a day early.  On the day of arrival the condo was not even ready when we got there. I got there after the 4:00 PM check in time. The door to the room was open and the room was unclean. We walked around until we found housekeeping and they explained they were short staff. I tried to understand and let it slide.  We went out to the stores while they got our room ready.  Came back, the room did not have the best smell and the tub in the master bedroom was not clean.  We had to call for housekeeping early the next morning for them to come clean the bathroom.  The next day my sister said she got a bite on her. We thought maybe a mosquito or something had bitten her.  Everyday while we were there, she got up with a new bite.  Finally my mom decided to pull the sheets back and we found the bed bug.  We decided to cut our trip short because nobody wants to lay somewhere they are going to get eaten up by bed bugs.  We contacted the sister hotel on New Year's Eve and told them what was going on.  We were told to call back early the next morning, someone from Bahama Sands would be in the office.  I ended up talking to the head of housekeeping, and sent her pictures of my sister bites as well as the picture of the bed bugs. She then forwarded the information to Lauri who is supposed to be the manager of this resort.  After speaking to her several times she said the problem was going to be rectified.  This has been going on for 2 months. No solution has been given to this problem.  The last communication I have had with Lauri was on January 24.  I have called her several times on the cell number I was provided and all calls are now going to voicemail.  At this point I am over this situation and your inability to make this situation right.  I will never stay at this resort again . read more

I just got back from my vacation and have nothing but good things to say about this resort. The front desk was pleasant and efficient. Housekeeping was courteous, helpful, and cheerful. The resort was clean. It's right on the beach, it has a full kitchen in the condos. They are stocked with utensils, cups, bowls, and plates, etc. so you don't have to worry about lugging those things along if you want to save a little money and eat in a few nights. They have 2 hot tubs, 2 pools, a lazy river, a poolside bar, a gym, and lots of other amenities. We got a resort discount ticket that cut down on the prices of some of the things we did. The staff was more than willing to help with directions, suggestions, and anything else that came up. It's very close to a lot of restaurants and shops on highway 17. It's only a couple of miles down the road from Cherry Grove pier, and you have the option to take advantage of some of the other amenities offer buy other oceana resorts too. I will be staying here again. My whole family loved it. read more

My family stayed at this location last week for the 4th of July. Rooms: Our Condo was dirty. The carpet had dirt/stain spots throughout the condo, our bathroom had hair in it. When we called to have it clean, I was told that the housekeeping was gone for the day. After I asked what was the solution, the receptionist stated she would have to call her manager to get an answer. Some one was finally sent to our room to clean the bathroom. one of the rooms main light didn't not work, which resulted in using the the one lamp in the room to light the huge room. Scoff marks were all on the wall. Pool: Granted it was 4th of July week, which is peak season, however I feel that the property could have prepared better for the heavy traffic. No one tentative to the pool area,potato chip bags, hair and other things were floating in the pool. I did see one guy who looked to be assigned to the pool area but he seem to be on break most of the day. Not to mention the dry wall falling down in front of the entrance to the pool. not a pretty site. The lazy river was ok, however you had propel you self around the pool, the jets were not on at all, and there were only 5 or 6 floats. Overall the stay was ok, the rooms need to a massive cleaning. It turned out to be exactly as depicted on the website, with wonderful views over the ocean front of North Myrtle Beach. The living room and dining room were large and comfortable, the kitchen well-equipped, the bedrooms luxurious, the building well-maintained and quiet. All was spotlessly clean and the linens and towels generously supplied. The apartment could not be better located and your suggestions of this location verses the downtown location provided an insider's view of the city life and how more peaceful this location would be and it was. Thank you also for allowing us a late check out to get everything back in order and to get our belongings packed. My only regret is that our stay was far too short! Thank you, again, Ms. Poke! We stayed the week of the 4th of July. Elevators did not work, all week, so all the people arriving and departing were crammed into an elevator which by the way was not air conditioned. I am sure the fire marshall would have written a citation for this! Air conditioner in our condo went out and had to call for repair. When we started loading for the trip home, we could not get on an elevator to save our lives! So...we had to carry our luggage and items from the 10th floor to P3 garage. Atlantic breeze wants you out by 10 a.m and that is just about impossible with elevators out of commission and the ones that worked PACKED with people. We will never stay there again. Stayed here 05/25/2018 - 05/28/2018 When we arrived we were confused where to go to check in. The parking deck and resort were across the road from the reception which we only found out by asking someone staying at the Condominiums. After checking in we were very happy with our room, it seemed clean and just what we needed for everybody. When we sat out on the balcony we noticed that many of our surrounding neighbors seemed to be smoking and were quite noisy. The main issues occurred around 10pm when we tried to get some sleep. The sound of other condo guests music and conversation kept us all awake. This went on until around 3am. Understanding that this weekend was a long weekend and other guests in the condo's were just enjoying themselves we didn't complain. Saturday night was much the same. As it was a nice evening we sat on the balcony with the patio doors to our room open. Again our surrounding neighbors seemed to be smoking and playing loud music. Around 9pm our smoke alarms started to go off. Not just one of them but every single one in the apartment. No one in our apartment was cooking or smoking so we can only assume that this was some kind of fault or was due to our neighbors smoke? We called down to reception to check that this wasn't a problem for everyone in the hotel and they advised they would send maintenance up to us to check it out. We closed the patio doors and got our kids back to sleep. Around 9:45pm maintenance still had not arrived and as the alarms hadn't gone off again since closing the doors, we called back down to ask that they come tomorrow as we did not to wake up our kids and now my Mother in law, who had gone to bed because of not getting much sleep the night before. (As a side note, maintenance never did show up in the morning either...) Unfortunately music and noisy condo guests continued again until around 2am. Sunday night was the worst night yet. Again the loud music, smoking and partying started around 7pm. Finally at 10pm we called down to reception to ask they find out where the music was coming from. The bass from the music was actually shaking our room and keeping everyone awake. The lady working on reception, was very helpful and promised that she would take care of things. About an hour later the music seemed to stop. Unfortunately we were awoken again a little while later when it came back on. Thankfully it stopped again around 12am. Finally getting some sleep we were woken up around 3am by a lot of loud banging followed by banging and screaming outside and on our door. Our door, along with what sounded like every door on our floor was trying to be kicked open, with shouts and screams from someone threatening to burn the hotel down. The bad language and swearing was awful. My children were pretty frightened about what was happening and we weren't sure what we should do, or if the hotel were aware of what was happening. Again we called reception informing them this person was trying to kick in peoples doors and was making threats. We were told "that the reception at that time was just covering for our reception, which had closed for the night, and as it was a local issue we needed to call the local police ourselves" ??? Surely this is something that the condominium reception desk should be doing, when a customer/guest calls? The screaming and banging then moved from floor to floor and finally stopped. Lets just say it took a long time to get everyone back to sleep. We then had an early wake up call of the wind whistling through our bedroom patio door seal. We tried to open and tightly close the patio door but with no luck of being able to stop the noise. All in all our weekend vacation would have been brilliant, had it not been spoilt by the evenings. We understand that some factors are out of the condominiums control, but it seemed like there was no care for guests who wanted a quiet night. It was disappointing that Sunday morning we had put some of the guest yellow towels out on our balcony to finish drying and within 15 mins we had a knock at the door to ask we take them down. We could not understand how the staff could take action on this so fast when people seemed to be able to run wild and do as they wish in the evenings with no regard to condominium policies. I doubt very much we would risk booking here or in any other Wyndham property again. read more

Let me start off with that the first time we stayed here we loved it but this experience has been horrendous to say the least. First of all we started our stay a couple weeks after the major flood and the pool downstairs and all that goes with it was shut down the entire week so we had to walk around the whole building to the public access....what probably should have happened was to caution tape off pools and let us use the private access through that area instead of making my family walk through mulch for public access because there are no sidewalks infront of the building but what ever..... That I can deal with. Then they changed our room the the Penthouse level which seemed like a upgrade until we got there and there were light bulbs out, what could only be mold and mildew around vents, a dryer that squealed with every spin, no air conditioning, and the dirtiest patio you could imagine. I have a baby so the patio was concerning because of cleanliness. So about three days in we switched rooms to the 11th floor because we had complained so much that they finally let us have our original rooms that were much better. Back to the ground floor pool for a second. They claimed they were feverishly working to get the pool up in running. Yet no one was seen cleaning filling or working on the patio until 4 days went past which brings us to about Wednesday. It took about two days to get it filled and cleared but they still decided to keep it closed until Sat which is still their call so whatever seemed excessive but about par for their lack of cautiousness of what they were doing to their patrons already.... The kicker comes on our last night (which is currently right now) where our locked car was broken into and three sets of golf clubs were stolen!!! We called the police and we proceeded to do the polices job by watching the front entrance where my mother and another resident saw some shady business going on and told the police. All the while the police assured us that we were being irrational and that they couldn't still be in the building. Sure enough they were in the building waiting to hand the clubs off to someone within the building and now for three hours on our last night they are still filling out paperwork to get our stuff back. The front office manager never came to help and they shut down the office and left no one to tend it or to make us feel safe etc. the police were still on the premises and there was not one Atlantic Breeze staff members to facilitate the situation. They did NOTHING for us. They have left us like sitting ducks with no extra protection. We believe there are addition thieves in the building but it is hard to prove so I will be sleeping with one eye open all night. The cops can not stay like guards because our fear is not enough to keep them there they have a bigger job to do in the rest of the city. When we got to our room we called the front desk which rang to Baywatch and they proceeded to tell us there was nothing they could do. We asked them what protected us from the other several rooms of loud thugs hanging over the balcony smoking and drinking and they said there was nothing they could do. Then they told us to contact our lawyers?!? This was at 12:45 am. On the 14th people were going crazy cursing up a storm and smoking who knows what. Since we believed there was still some criminals in the building we feared for our lives and safety of our 9 children in three different rooms of the hotel. You see anyone can use the elevators from the parking garage ANYONE. There are no parking permits give or keys so only patrons can get it seriously ANYONE can get in and several people were riding up and down the elevator all night. The next day we spoke with someone named Danielle and she said her hands were tied and we could no be reimbursed anything for our trouble. She had no explanation on what we should have done in this case. She down played our fear by saying there was a police man there but he was unavailable for anything else because he had to stay with an impounded car on the fourth floor of Atlantic Breeze. After the car was impounded he left promptly. We slept with the kitchen chairs in front of the door and could hear partying most of the night. Our children had night mares and were unable to sleep. We are now seeking legal action in order to discuss our options for the turmoil we went through trying to get help from Atlantic Breeze. We only wanted to feel safe. The manager James was contacted but never reached out to us or anyone else to let us know what plan of action would be in place. Which know I understand they never had any intentions on protecting us at all. Even Holiday Inns have staff working 24/7. So in my mind you guys are below a Holiday inn. This was the third trip here and my parents 6th and we have NEVER been treated this way. This was completely unprofessional and I will be broadcasting this situation to everyone network I can. read more
