I had to touch a strangers' dirty bed linens!!! GROSS!!! Management does not care about the customers' experience. We won't be renting with them again. We just got back from vacation. The woman who checked us in at 3pm said they were waiting on the linen service to change the sheets and remove the old / dirty ones. But, they let us in the unit at 3pm. At 7:30, I called because the dirty linens were still on the beds (I have pictures). No one was able to come handle the service. So, I got the extreme pleasure of 1) handle strangers dirty linens and put them into garbage bags (7 beds!!). 2) travel to the rental office and pick up the clean linens, 3) make all seven beds by myself. That when I PAID for a service to have that done. This isn't our first rodeo. We travel all the time and we are great guests. I understand that mistakes happen. All the customer service representatives were lovely and very apologetic. They just had no power to improve the outcome. It's the management team who doesn't care about the customer experience. I reserved a beach house in North Myrtle Beach, SC on September 28, 2025 ($2,180.53). I paid the balance of $2,166.12 on May 4, 2026. I booked this through Airbnb and Thomas Beach Rentals was the one I went through to rent the house. Our vacation was scheduled for July 11, 2026 - July 18, 2026. After driving over 12 hours with an 8 month old, we arrived at the beach house on July 11, 2026 about 3:00 pm. I went to Thomas Beach Rentals after getting a text that the house was ready. I checked in and went back to the house. This is when we discovered the house was TOTALLY misrepresented from the pictures online. The pictures online made it look immaculate and brand new. We first walked out to the pool. Half the tiles on the pool wall were missing. They were laying on the picnic table which was aluminum and rusted all over. You couldn't even sit on it. The pool water was VERY cloudy and there was sand all over the inside. There were numerous adirondack chairs sitting around the pool. They were all broken (cracked down the middle) and you couldn't sit in them. It was not a clean area at all. Then we went inside where we found it to be DISGUSTING! When we walked in the front door,there was the living room furniture sitting on an area rug. The rug was black because it was so dirty. The hard floors were not clean and were disgusting. Then we walked into the bedrooms. The one bedroom had mold in the bathroom. Each bedroom, where the carpet met the trim at the bottom of the wall was black. All the bathrooms were disgusting and not clean. Every door in the house was filthy with hand marks and dirt on both sides. It didn't smell clean at all. There was also a broken window (cracked through the entire top part of the window) with some kind of tape covering it. The door to the cabinet under the sink was falling off because it was missing a hinge. Most of the woodwork was torn up all through the house. We had an 8 month old child who crawls everywhere and we would not even consider letting her on that floor ANYWHERE inside the house. At that moment, we called Thomas Beach Rentals and told them what we found and we CANNOT stay there. I spoke to Ken (I think that was his name) and told him the situation and his response was "I'm not sure what I can do for you at this point." I pretty much told him that he needs to find us something else. By this time it was 4:00 pm. He said he had a condo but I said I wanted to look at it first. It was 3.5 miles north of where we wanted to stay. We drove there and parking was under the condo highrise and when we pulled in there were no spots. We could see the pool area and it was disgusting so we were not even going to get out to look at the condo. We drove back to the beach house and called him back. His response was he didn't have anything and we needed to work with Airbnb. At this point I was pretty much having an anxiety attack because we have an 8 month old with us and we just drove over 12 hours and have nowhere to stay. We then contacted Airbnb. They were fantastic and asked us to send them pictures. We did and within 10 minutes they refunded my money. They started sending us listings to look at BUT with it being last minute needing something that day for a week, nothing they sent worked. It was either out of our price range or too small for 2 families. In the meantime as we scrambled to find something on our own, someone from Thomas Beach Rentals showed up to take pictures. We showed him everything as he took pictures and he was beside himself that Thomas Beach Rentals would rent this house out in this condition. He said he was going to go back to the office and relay everything. After he left, 2 women showed up. They said Thomas Beach Rental called them. They got out of their car with a blower and went back by the pool. They picked up all the tile that was laying on the picnic table and blew all the dirt off the patio. They then proceeded to blow the driveway and also took all the chairs out to the street for the trash. The one lady then came up to me and said she had to drive 30 minutes for the beer cans they had to pick up. My response was "I know nothing about beer cans. We are upset about the cleanliness of the entire house." These 2 ladies didn't even go inside and then left. In the meantime, we found a condo about 2 miles further away from the beach. It was available so we booked it but had to wait for the owner to respond which said she usually responds within 2 hours. At this point we were all exhausted, not even knowing if we would get this condo. We decided to go to the store and get some food. When we were done, we went to the condo complex and just sat in our cars waiting. While we were waiting, Airbnb contacted me and asked if we found something. I told them the situation and they said "Let us call her." She called me within 5 minutes. read more

Stayed the week of 7/18-7/25/26 at Tahitian Pearl 2506 South ocean blvd north Myrtle beach sc. outside of property was nasty and not kept up. Pool and hot tub needed repairs. We never once saw anyone service them or clean or check ph etc. inside had less than a good cleaning. Blood stained bedspreads, nasty floors that made our feet black the day we arrived, broken stair treads, hair in bathtub , broken drawers and cabinets, holes in wall, torn and mia matched miscellaneous furniture, loose balcony railings, terribke mattresses with torn and ripped plastic mattress covers. It was pretty nasty, and felt more like a frat party house! If I was the owner I would Rethink who cleaned and cared for the house!!!' read more

Quick review of our stay with Thomas properties Upon arrival we immediately found pool so green and cloudy it looked like it hadn't been cleaned or serviced in months. We called and was told maintenance would be out. While we were unpacking we found ants everywhere. We started trying to clean up and they kept coming back. (Pictures) Once we unpacked we tried to prepare something to eat and found dirty dishes in the cabinets and silverware drawers. (Picture) We also noticed a half ran dishwasher. Tired from a 9 hour drive we wanted to rest. While taking down the beds we found several beds were missing top sheets (3 rd floor bunks) This nightmare continues! I tried to take a shower and the knobs feel off. We made it work but once I dried off and walked through the second floor, never going outside I felt filth collecting on my feet. I took the washcloth and whipped my feet minutes after getting out of the shower and it turned black (pictures) I then tried to give my daughter a bath but the tub plunger would not hold water. The condition of the property is horrible! The patio areas and decks are filthy with trash from previous tenants left through out the landscaping. The plants are during or in such bad shape the should be replaced. The mold and mildew around the patio is cause for safety concerns. We bring the condition to the employees and they send technicians or maintenance during our vacation time even when we ask not to. We went with out water two separate days when we ask them not to come. The maintenance workers failed to properly repair the problem causing water to pour through the living room onto the table through an electric light fixture. When maintenance asked if they could come fix this we said as long as they didn't interrupt our vacation and came between 10 o'clock and 12 o'clock . They again ignored the request showed up at 9:15 and was here until noon to fix what they said would take 30 minutes. We have found ants every day and even cockroaches in the kitchen and your solution is to send somebody over with raid Aunt and Roach and bait stations. We didn't come on vacation to be a part-time past exterminator. The general functionality and condition of this rental property is in horrid shape. This property should be removed from service until it could be addressed. If this is an example of the properties you represent we will never use Thomas rentals again. Our vacation has been interrupted on multiple times dealing with this house and the poor services associated. read more

TBV manages Shorehaven II Unit #7B 1100 SF 2 bed, 2 bath bungalow, 500 steps to the water, straight through the public access to the beach. Perfect for singles, couples, small families. We were down in August with 4 teenager girls and 2 Adults. We were celebrating a "Sweet 16" beach adventure. Grilling and pool are just out the back of the building. We love that there is NO through traffic. Only those who are in the section come and go. Quiet and peaceful. Watch and listen to the fountain from the front deck. The Unit owner maintains and upgrades this unit as a second home that they rent out in Summer/Winter and not soley as a "income producing rental unit". The community is about 50% rental units. Unit B is the only rental unit in Bungalow #7. read more

WE stayed in See The Dunes Nasty. The beds were awful, could not see out the windows I cleaned them still did not help. The front door had such a draft from the wind it sounded like a tornado outside scared my grandson to death. The glass sliding door was hard to open it was probably because of the dirt in the tracks. Second year staying in one of their condo rentals and I'm so disappointed. Both condos were not cleaned, if at all....both times we found a pile of dirty linens left in a bedroom and had to call them to come pick them up. This time, it was evident our condo hadn't been touched. Bathrooms are disgusting. Toilets had pee dripping down the base, gunk and filth and hair left on them, showers have a lot of build up of dust, dirt, and hair and the floors have clumps of sand and hair. Crumbs in the kitchen and living room. Only thing that was 'done' by cleaners was new trash bags in the bathroom cans. There is toothpaste spit on the mirrors, beard hair on counters, toothpaste and hair in the sink and on faucet. Absolutely ridiculous that the cleaners leave a rental in this state. I had to go buy cleaning wipes and wipe everything down myself. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. read more

I am so glad I found this place on Airbnb our condo reservation was easy to make and our condo was nice and clean. It had beautiful views and our rooms were spacious. Only gripe is there was soda bottle trash behind pillows on couch. I only realized because my kids are very curious. They had nice cooking sets and a great assortment of cooking utensils in case you needed to cook something. The fridge was spacious and the stove was fancy. We booked a wonderful vacation via Thomas Beach Vacations and everything in the condo was just as advertised... except the air conditioning. No matter what, the condo would not cool below 74-75 degrees. I know it isn't that hot, but it was a little uncomfortable, so we called Thomas. They sent maintenance and then they sent an HVAC company 3 times. Basically the unit needs to be upgraded, which is no fault of Thomas. Donna was great to work with and then Rosalyn went above and beyond to make things right by knocking some money off the rental price after the vacation ended. This was an amicable outcome for both sides. We'll rent with Thomas again. read more

After our experience last week it's safe to say that we will never use Thomas Beach Vacations again, nor would we recommend them to anyone. We spent months researching places to choose the best condo for our family/group of 9 and ultimately choose one with Thomas Beach. We traveled 8 hours from out of state and, on the day of check in, 3 hours away from North Myrtle, we get a phone call from Ken, a director of Thomas Beach Vacations. He informed us that our condo that we had booked (months in advance) was no longer available. The unit apparently had water damage a few weeks prior and was undergoing repair. Thomas Beach said it was 'supposed to be done', but they did not check the status of the the unit until the morning of check in, rather than checking the week of to see if repairs would be ready in time for Saturday check in, which they were not. Not even close. His only realistic 'option' was to downsize us to another condo on the 18th floor of another building, which was less than ideal for our situation. However, with fear of being stranded due to full bookings, and considering that we didn't have many options to research new locations the day of check in with 9 people, we took the option. The replacement condo was not great. I'm not sure if it's a reflection of the owner or Thomas Beach's Maintenance, but there was a cockroach that crawled out from under the couch. Also under the couch was an old dirty dish among crumbs and random toys. They clearly do not move furniture to clean properly as it was quite obvious that the couch had not been moved in a long time. We are deeply dissatisfied with our Thomas Beach Vacations experience, even with the discount they ended up giving us, which we had to fight for as it was not offered up front as a solution to their poor management. read more

Our experience with Thomas Beach Vacation rentals has been positive, particularly interactions with Gracie. She addressed any issues we had immediately and was very pleasant to deal with. On the topic of the rental itself, Sandy Shores numbers 1 thru 4, I would like to give the owner a piece of my mind! This property is a retro gem, from the knotty pine paneling to the 1950's aquamarine-color bathroom tile--and you appear to be letting it slowly crumble to pieces! Outside you have rotting wood, peeling siding, rusted metal, exposed beams, torn screens. Inside you have signs of rusting ductwork and cracked bathroom tile that's very likely allowing water to leak. It's pet-friendly, which is great, there are not enough. Now, tear out the ratty old carpet and lay something durable. Clean and/or replace the upholstered furniture. Make sure the windows work, oh, and have them cleaned while you're at it, ok? Layers of dirt do nothing to enhance the beautiful ocean view! Maybe I don't know much, but to me this property looks both like an amazing investment and piece of history. Worst realty company. Maids come in and steal your belongings!!! Left clothes in a drawer and called Thomas realty immediately. Was gave the run around for 2days. On 3rd day clothes were found and photographed the first day except they pulled out clothes with tags that could be resold. Thomas realty protected these people and treated me like I stole my own clothes. I'm 65 years old. Why would I do that ? Very, dirty nasty house. NASTY. Steps carpet, verydirty. And you just can't call with a punch list. Shower door off, the water has green stuff coming out with the water, pool chairs and loungers dirty. They don't check for bacteria in the pool. Toilet paper holder won't stay on, no sink stopper in kitchen, no coffee maker(I went and purchased one) the dishwasher detergen0t doesn't melt, so all the dishes are dirty. Dirty walls, old rusty hardware on doors, they cover chip paint on rails with paint, instead of sanding and repainting so they are dirty, and feel sticky. Fridge doesn't get cold. We stayed at the Northshore beach house in September 2024 for a week. There were multiple problems with the house, but Thomas Beach Vacations did an outstanding job of sending maintenance workers to try and repair everything. I will never rent North Shore again! I'm so disappointed in the owner of this home. We save up all year to rent an oceanfront beach home and encounter this experience! They should be ashamed charging what they do. - two guests had bugs crawl on their back and neck area while sitting on the couch in the family room. - back porch screen has a tear in it - multiple loose boards on the front and rear deck. I wouldn't say it was a safety issue, but it sounds like you're playing the piano just like in the movie BIG. Very annoying. - the worst beds and mattresses I've ever slept in my entire life. Squeak at every move and are uncomfortable and disgusting looking . Every bed in the house is like this! - multiple toilets needed to be repaired and quite honestly need to be replaced. - Pots and pans and other kitchen utensils need replaced and are disgusting - shower door upstairs sticks to the point where I cut myself trying to close it. - Outdoor furniture is dated and needs repaired, one chair on the back is broken and another chair is so short you can't even see over the railing. The other four are fine. The table out front is broken. There are other issues but I'm tired of typing. Use THOMAS Beach Vacations , but I do not recommend North Shore at 506 N. We were extremely disappointed with our experience using Thomas Beach Vacations last week. We arrived to roaches all over the kitchen. Roaches on the walls, in the cabinets and even in the dishwasher and Refrigerator. We contacted the offices emergency line and were hung up on multiple times. Since the house wasn't available until after hours due to cleaning, no one returned our calls. We continued to leave messages, message via the portal without response. The pool was filthy with debris floating throughout. There were old cans and a half deflated float thrown in the bushes. There were no toiletries upon arrival as described in the welcome email so we could not use the restroom after our 7 hour drive. After 3 days, pest control came out only by happenstance that someone from maintenance was finally dropping off pot holders that were not provided. Pest control told us that this was a known infestation and that now that the house was gassed, that the bugs will continue to come in the house to die. Why would this not be disclosed prior to our arrival and an alternative offered? This was not the vacation I had hoped for with my family. My daughter feared to sleep due to the bug situation. Please beware of these possible situations before you commit to a beach vacation with this company. read more

They only care about your money. Once they're paid they could care less. House was clean but furniture, especially the beds, were worn out and extremely uncomfortable. Every pan in the place was warped so they were useless for cooking most things. Freezer and oven racks were rusty. The BBQ looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months and would fall over if you sneezed near it. The grass needed cut when we checked in and a week later still hasn't been done. When I turned in the keys they didn't even ask how our stay was. Motel 6 at least pretends that they appreciate your business. House was disgusting!!! we put grandbaby down to crawl around and the tops of her feet were totally black. upon looking closer there's was food and crumbs at base of kitchen cabinets, hair beside microwave cart, hair stuck to kitchen cabinet door, trash under beds, air return vent covered in dust and hair and the filter looked like it hadn't been changed in months. traces of toothpaste still left on toothbrush holder, fake finger nail in laundry hamper, and the worse part...we used a toaster one morning, pulled out the toast to find a clump (not a single hair) a clump stuck to our toast. This house cost over $5k to rent for a week and was charged a $280 cleaning fee. if there was even cleaners here at all they couldn't have spent more than 15 min cleaning before we arrived. The manager at real estate places response was "we clean a lot of houses in a hurry and we miss things". this isn't an issue of simply missing something....apparently everything was missed. will never rent from this place again. I've rented $60 a night AIR BNB rooms that were better than this. read more

We rent a home every year in September and usually have 6 couples. The men play golf and the ladies go to the beach and shop. Brian is our golf contact with Thomas Beach Vacations and he sets up the men's golf for four days during the week of our stay and we always have a house across the street from the beach. Everything always goes so smoothly, NEVER a snag! I set everything up for this September in January and we cannot wait to go again. Terrible!! They told us our house was ready at 3 p.m. Then said it wasn't until 7 p.m We went by the house trash at rode house had been cleaned it was 4:30 p.m. I tried to call twice went to VM. Left VM we were in. They called 24 hours later to ask if we were in. Internet did not work so no TVs. I called and was asked by Lisa "What do you want me to do about it.". Never came to fix it. I would give zero if I could. My mom rented a condo at surf villas in NMB. The carpet was filthy and should be pulled out and burned. Go ahead and include all the furniture which is also filthy, worn out, and uncomfortable. The condo smelled musty and dirty. The walls were touched up with paint that did not match. This is a typical 50 year old condo where the owner has done nothing to improve or renovate. Thomas is only interested in their commission. They could care less about the filth. I will not be back. Do not rent from Thomas Beach Vacations unless you want to be ignored. We were very unsatisfied with our stay at Raintree Villas and tried to contact Thomas on Saturday morning since we checked in after hours on Friday. I left a detailed message asking them to return my call concerning cleanliness of our condo, the vertical blinds not working, and one of the slats fell out. Also, there was a missing light fixture and bulb on one of the bathroom mirrors, the deck furniture was awful, and there were no bath mats in either bathroom. My sliding glass door in the bedroom did not work (it took two of us to close it pulling as hard as we could). When we checked out of Thomas they said they hadn't received a voicemail and they assured they'd call in 48 hours. Did not receive a phone call, big surprise. My advice is do not rent condo 2-E at Raintree or from Thomas Beach Vacations in general. If I could give them a negative star, I would. I rented C2 of Crescent Sands Windy Hill in North Myrtle Beach, SC from a different company on 7/24/23 for 7/17-7/27/24. On July 3, 2024 I was contacted by this company that the owner, Alan Beck, had sold his unit and the new owner was not honoring the contract. I did a lot of investigation and found this to be a lie. Alan had the unit for sale. After much more investigation, I found out that what happened was Alan had double rented and rented through Thomas Beach vacations after I had rented the unit. His rental at Thomas was signed in February 2024. I immediately contacted Ken, Guest services manager and he "tried" to contact the owner. I tried Ken multiple times. He referred me to Laura, Owner rep. She verified Ken had rented through them and I was out of luck. I was not sure how I was out of luck since I had rented a year ago. I explained the entire situation to her. I was being proactive so that 2 families did not show up at the same time for this one unit. She told me she would call the other families and ask them to relocate. Later, her response to me was she would change the key code so I could not get in. I told her I was trying to prevent police being called and she ensured me her renters would get the place, even though I had rented a year ago. This was terrible business by Thomas Beach vacations. Because I was afraid of having no where to stay, I secured another unit. We had a total of 18 people meeting for vacation and I did not want to have my family of 5 with nowhere to stay. While there, I knocked on the door of C2 and talked to the renters who rented with Thomas. They were NEVER called and asked to move. Thomas Beach vacations lied to me. They told me they offered the renters $1200 to move. The renter told me she would have gladly moved for $1200. And, Thomas Beach vacations had offered them the contract to renew for 2025. I told the renters about the whole situation. I told them that the owner, Alan Beck, had the unit for sale currently and if he sold, chances were that Thomas would not be renting. They would be in the same situation as me this year and have no place to rent. After how Thomas handled my situation-I would NEVER rent from them. Be very careful. If you rent today, and the owner changes his mind, or "double dips"-you are out of luck. This is the very shortened version of the story. I can give many more details if you need. BUT if you're an owner with these guys managing you're property?.... watch out.. thier cleaning staff leaves everything to be desired! The management NEVER inspects when renters leave: breakage, marred furniture, gouged walls, even police complaints are covered over..... And BTW, after we had our fill of low life tenants and complained... although I specifically asked for help from Andy Thomas, get it Thomas Vacations, and our specific manager, no one inspected; no one was asked to pay for damages; Hence after 10 years of paying commissions and referring others, Andy Thomas simply told a different manager to "FIRE US"....This review is still in the writing, because after being told to find another representative, we arrived to find our unit filthy... sticky... tables with glass ring stain.. stove with grease, bathrooms dirty.... oh BTW, Thomas also stopped taking collateral or deposits to be held incase of damage... they advised no one... simply too much work and so they changed the policy... well, since we pay the commissions, shouldn't we be able to decide if we want to continue under those conditions???? Sure look like full to me..2 TV's broke. Chairs old and 2 broke..Not safe to sit in. . Would not stay in again. Internet is a joke..Can't use. Signal horrible. (Did not go thru trip advisor). Went thru Thomas Beach Vacations..What a Joke..Said we could get in at 3:00 Room had been cleaned for over 2 hrs. Was standing there the whole time. Said they were waiting on it to be inspected. 6:30 a guy and 2 young children showed up, too I guess inspect and make the beds. Must be using child labor now. Only got in at 5 because of constant complaining....Would have been closer to 7 if not calling and going to the office. Then you have to be out by 10am. Waste 1 full day even though you are paying for it. What a rip off. Clean linens had stains all in them like they had never been cleaned..Never go thru Thoams Beach Vacations..Shouuld be put out of business..Rip off.. read more

They aren't kidding about the parking pass. $250 gone because I didn't display it properly in my window. Complete bull shit. No way to reach them as the office closes at 530, so no car until the morning. Most likely I'll have to get an Uber there. So more money lost. What's funny, if you can find humor in it, they won't refund your money, that's what there policy states on the refrigerator, you must pay it even if you have a valid tag, now that's a crappy policy. So while I'm sitting here without a car, I'll just leave you a bad review. Your slogan should be "any way to make a dollar". For the past 10 years my family has been coming down to Myrtle Beach SC, we tried somewhere different Myrtle Beach NC, August 7, to August 14, 2021, My family and I, Were extremely disappointed with our experience using Thomas Beach Vacations. Tilghman Beach & Racquet Club 140. We arrived at this rental properties was dirty, bug infest place, dirty carpet, bathroom smell like urine, shower curtain hangs off the pole, the bed was on the floor no headboard. Furniture look like someone put out for trash, and the owner pick up in put their rental unit. There were cockroaches, roaches, the kitchen cabinets had used and old reusable mica wave bowls, in the kitchen cabinet didn't have matching dishes were old and dirty. We went and brought paper products and towels & washcloths, candles and put all around in the unit to help with old smell. I received email stating rental won't be available until 7pm due to cleaning You would think it would be clean since it took so long, but no. the office was closed and pick the keys up at lockbox. read more

We have dealt with TBV for approximately 10 years - they are honest, recommend excellent oceanfront condos which are very clean and lovely. They don't tell you "oh yes it is a nice place" but when you get there it is awful! We made a huge mistake this year and used another agency and had a horrible experience - never again! For context, we sold our house and have been traveling most of 2021 living in rental properties so it's reasonable to say we know what we are talking about when we describe this as the worst property manager and worst maintained property we've encountered - hands down. Check in was smooth and easy so we thought we were off to a good start. The house looked decent enough when we arrived so continued settling in. That evening we discovered that the oven didn't work properly so we called the office but it was after hours. We also discovered there was no cable service for any of the TVs and a toilet had a slow leak (water on the floor). We tried calling three different numbers for Thomas Beach Vacations (TBV) with no answer and no way to leave a message. We drove to their office the next morning to find the entire staff were on vacation from Dec 23-27. This should have been information passed along at check-in unless you don't want to deal with renters in a house in serious disrepair. We continued trying to contact anyone from TBV without success in hopes of discussing more deficiencies in the house: glass storm door with broken closer so the door slammed shut, missing overhead light with exposed wires in a bedroom, filthy carpets, broken furniture, ceiling fan with very loose blade (2" wobble) that made a terrible screeching noise when operating, cockroaches, a lamp with a note taped to it instructing users to use the plug to turn it on and off, half full soda bottle between mattress and wall, torn screens, mold on tub knob, broken toilet paper holder, and a disgusting vacuum with enough hair on the brushes to make a small wig. Finally the emergency phone number was turned back on and we were able to leave a message. We identified the three most pressing problems: leaking toilet, malfunctioning oven, and TVs with no service. When TBV (Lisa) finally returned our call, it was clear she was put out that her vacation was interrupted. We needed to repeat the three most pressing problems since she was unaware of the message we left on the emergency phone number. Upon taking our information, she abruptly hung up with no mention of what we should expect in the way of remedy. I immediately called back but the phones were again turned off. Without notice, a plumber came to fix the leaking toilet (very nice and professional), and a short time later, again without notice, a technician came and fixed the oven (also very nice and professional). We waited around the house (not getting to enjoy our vacation) assuming that a technician would come to work on the TV. No one ever came. We called several more times over the course of several days leaving messages asking that someone call us back to fix the TVs and to address other problems with the house. In the two weeks that we were renting from TBV, we only received the one return phone call despite countless attempts to contact them. In addition, it is obvious in hindsight that the only repairs they were willing to make were those that could have damaged the house (water leak and malfunctioning oven) but none affecting our safety, enjoyment, or comfort using their rental. We learned from the supervisor on duty at check-out that a work order for the TVs was never submitted by TBV. We stopped by the office to check out and were surprised people working there - our experience during our 2-week stay suggested otherwise. We spoke with managers/supervisors Laura and Teddy and recounted the events described above. We got a mix of sympathy and excuses and in the end they refunded a small amount of money to help offset our disappointing rental experience. Their reason for their lack of communication was phone service problems (for two weeks?). They had no explanation for the state of the house. Teddy stated we was going to go check things out the day we checked out. I asked that if he found that things were not as bad as we described, he should call me back and tell me where we were overly critical. We got no return call. Finding a rental home in disrepair is bad enough but dealing with a property management company as unresponsive as Thomas Beach Vacations is inexcusable. There are lots of choices when planning a visit to North Myrtle Beach. I highly recommend that you choose a different property manager and that you avoid Aqua View at 326 54th Avenue North, North Myrtle Beach, SC all together. read more

Do all possible to avoid this rental company. Our rental condo was filthy. We had to get many things cleaned and repaired. Kitchen had very little pots and pans. Coffee maker must be at least 15 years old. Mildew and mold in the showers. Ceiling fans were warped and hardly working. They do not maintain these condos to work properly. The frig was not working for 3 days. We were unable to cook anything in the condo and lost food. Very disappointing. Rental agency staff was not caring in the least. We will never be going back to stay at a home with Thomas. We stayed at Sandy toes and didn't have a great experience. If the home itself was a three bedroom rental it wouldn't be bad. The home is nicely decorated and spacious. The pool was nice, not for 10 people though, as was the backyard and very close to the beach. But that's where all the positives stop. The neighborhood itself is extremely noisy. Motorcycles and cars blasting their music drive down the street all throughout the night. My baby kept getting woken up. Then there's the fact that this rental is considered four bedrooms. The listing now states that the downstairs bedroom isn't connected to the rest of the house but when we booked the rental, it didn't state that. As soon as we found out that the fourth bedroom wasn't really a part of the home, we immediately wanted our money back. The owners refused to try and re-rent it so that we could get our money back. We all decided to go and try to make the best of the situation but our trip was horrible. Immediately upon entering the downstairs bedroom you could smell stale air and the bed and furniture were damp. Our guests weren't able to stay in that room so that meant my husband and I had to share a room with one of our children. We first tried to share the master with our baby but with all the noise and us sharing the room, which she's not used to, she constantly woke up. After a few nights of awful sleep, we decided to switch and have our toddler stay in the master and the baby in the smaller room while we shared the bed with our toddler. Sounds really fun right! This was the worst vacation we've ever had in North Myrtle Beach. To make matters worse Thomas continuously emails about how clean the place is going to be and the floors were absolutely disgusting. We ended up buying a swiffer and used an entire 12 pack to clean the floors because they were black. We then cleaned the rest of the house and they offered $100 back. Then the owners lock one of the closets. Our guests had to hang their clothes in the laundry room. We paid 3700 and it was such a waste of money. I cried the first night and then sucked it up because our kids who don't know any better had a blast. The only thing we're happy about are the great memories with our kids. read more

My family, friends and I stayed at Abundseas B beach house property and everything thing about this place was superb! We had an awesome time. The location was great, very quiet area nestled in the Cherry Grove Dietrich of North Myrtle Beach. Walking distance to the beach. I believe this is my 3rd year renting from Thomas Beach Vacations. 5 years in total as my in-laws rented from them for 2 years and if there is ever any problems they come out to fix right away. Everyone in the office is very friendly. My problem is with the unit I rented. I know this may sound picky, but I prefer a door on my bathroom and not a curtain. Even though the bathroom is in the master. I would still prefer a door or at the very least the bifold door that separates the sinks and the shower to have solid panels instead of slats that you can see right through. Maybe this is something the owners can change. Also, maybe not have spot lights in the tiny secondary bedroom. Other than that the unit itself is okay. I will rent with Thomas Beach Vacations again. We were told we could get into our rental house (shore beats workin') from 3-7. Such a wide range of time! We arrived at 5:30 and were told that the cleaning crew just arrived. We waited until 7:15 to get into our house. You would think it would be clean since it took so long, but no. Crumbs everywhere, dirty walls and floors, hair on shower walls, and mysterious pink goo on the shower curtain. Tried calling the office multiple times but they didn't answer.
