Mark isn't inexpensive. Instead, he charges full price for thoughtful designs and thoroughly professional work. For my project, he walked my property for hours and designed the project from the ground up, extending my cabins' architecture into the surrounding landscape. He approached me at every step in the process to ask my opinion and learn my preferences. His plan covered everything: from "invisible" things like foundation-work and irrigation plans, right through to the earth-shaping, planting and irrigation fine-tuning. To my surprise, he has also contacted me weeks AFTER the job was done to double check on things and fine tune the irrigation. Apparently, he baked 'follow through' into what I've already paid. If you're looking for a good bargain, there are many good landscapers, handymen and gardeners who will fight for whatever you're offering and do a great job. On the other hand, if you are determined to do something uniquely great with your surroundings, and you're willing to invest what it costs to hire a serious design-and-build landscaper, I definitely recommend Mark and My Ground.
