George is a stand up man! I cannot thank him enough…read more We spent two long years battling a nightmare problem: water was somehow coming through the electrical wires and poles in our wall causing flooding and mold in the room. PG&E told us over and over again that once the lines leave the box, it was no longer their responsibility. We made countless calls, had a French drain installed, and were even prepared to dig down to the power box ourselves just to figure it out. Every contractor, builder, and professional we spoke with said they had never seen an issue like ours. Then we called Santos Excavating. Not only did George take the time to listen to our situation, but he immediately understood what was happening and knew exactly where to look. He even got on the phone with PG&E with us and on our behalf and knew exactly what to say and do to get them to fix this. While we didn't end up using his services directly, what I will say is this: George's knowledge of our area and the types of issues that can occur is unmatched. Out of more than 100 people we contacted, no one else had heard of our issue but George did. He went out of his way, at no expense to us, to help us resolve a problem that had been destroying our home every time it rained for years. Because of George's help, we were finally able to stop the flooding in our room a problem that had cost us thousands in repairs and left us feeling abandoned by insurance and dismissed by PG&E. His willingness to stand up for us and his genuine care completely changed our lives. George, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You are the best, and we hope you receive countless blessings for the way you help people. Truly, thank you.

Santos Excavating is a Terrible Company who could not do their job and will not pay their bills. We…read morewere working with them on a job for the new Salvation Army Community Center, a very worthwhile Organization, and they were contracted to provide Sub-Grade and Landscape Grade +/- 1/10 of a percent. They not only could not get the Sub-Grade right, but they did not provide any grading at all for the landscape. When they told us verbally that they would pay for the work we did if we went ahead and took responsibility for the Landscape Grade, we took them at their word. When we presented them with the bill for the work, they refused to pay. I would not recommend this company, they will try to get away with doing as little work as possible.

I don't write many reviews anymore, and honestly, I haven't had many contractor experiences that…read morewould motivate me to change that. But Lassiter Excavation was so good that I couldn't continue to be lazy.  For context, I was replacing an old 35,000-gallon swimming pool with a skinnier lap pool. Lassiter started by completely removing the massive 1975 pool, including every scrap of concrete and piping.  Then they backfilled and compacted. Working to my soils engineer's specifications, they imported and compacted 18 truckloads of quarry fines in carefully controlled 8-inch lifts through the full 12-foot depth of the deep end, all the way to finished grade. They used multiple pieces of equipment, including jumping jacks, a Bobcat, and a vibratory sheepsfoot roller (which I had to look up), and they coordinated compaction testing throughout the process.  When they were done, it looked like a pool had never been there. The site was fully prepared for the new excavation, which Lassiter then completed flawlessly.  I measured their forms with a laser level and laser tape measure, and length, width, diagonals, position and elevations were all within 1/8 inch. That's impressive considering the new lap pool is nearly 60 feet long. When they were finished digging, the walls and floor were razor straight and right on their marks. The crews were outstanding -- friendly, hardworking, detail-oriented, and consistently professional. They maintained an exceptionally clean jobsite throughout the project and even helped me reclaim some old redwood decking.  Special thanks to Santana, Ricardo, Daniel, Jose and team for answering all my questions and caring so much about the end result. If you're considering any excavation work, I highly recommend reaching out to Lassiter Excavation and talking with Bob. They exceeded my expectations in every respect.

They finished on time and on budget, and handled the permitting so we didn't have to worry about any of the details. My husband requires dialysis and his appts are 5am, 45 minutes away. They didn't hesitate and showed up within an hour to help us out. Fast forward 2 weeks... I was feeling pretty defeated earlier. Piles upon piles of snow. I've tried to keep up with the snow as it fell. Ww still need to get out for medical treatment 3x a week. Been using a sled to shuttle supplies, firewood etc through the front yard. My driveway was getting narrower and narrower... Woke up this morning to about 6 more inches of snow and felt like throwing in the towel. I left a message with Dadco earlier in hopes they had an opening. I was sitting inside and all of a sudden here comes a Knight in Shining Armor (ok, a guy with a yellow/orange vest on a big ole backhoe/tractor). It was like the heavens opened up and came up my driveway! Dadco is such a great friend to the community. We are so very thankful Thank you for changing my whole day!

I called Doug at Dadco and they came and reset the tank to the correct depth and added the leech lines, working with another local company to make this happen. We are happy with the workmanship, timing, and value of Doug and his crew at Dadco. Doug has also been very involved in donating his time to help non-profits and events in Paradise. I highly recommend Dadco Construction to take care of you and your projects.

I just finished up a three-phase septic/D-box project with Davis Excavating. The first part…read moreinvolved pulling the lid of the septic tank, pulling a root mass, sealing the lid/tank joint and backfilling. The second part was replacement of the D-box and a portion of the manifold. This work was perfectly executed. Then came the tricky part. Significant root intrusion had occurred downstream, at the manifold/infiltrator connections. Only four of the five lines were taking effluent. We field-engineered a new connection strategy for the uppermost infiltrator run which gave us two active lines and most importantly bought time. I engineered a new connection scheme using old and new infiltrator chambers. Raul advised me on how to work with the County to modify the permit. Raul then came back to the site, excavated the old chambers, fit the new and made the manifold connections. Then backfilled and graded to landscaping standards. Outcomes like this are only possible when you are working with a top-line professional. On top of this, the pricing was very fair. Surprises from septic systems are never fun, but when you have a resource like Davis Excavating, you can tackle the problem knowing you are going to get the best result. Robert Weber, P.E.
