A quick disclaimer as of right now is that my child currently does…read morenot have any glaring health issues and has only had routine well child checkups up to this point. Your experience may be different if you need more specialized care. I've taken my infant son to different providers throughout San Diego for each of his checkups and it has been so stressful to find one that is a good match for us. My family recently changed health insurance so we had the perfect opportunity to look into recommendations, reviews, etc. to find from a new pool of eligible providers and clinics. I picked this office (and some of the other locations) due to it being heavily recommended on parenting groups on Facebook. The ease of checking our insurance and scheduling an appointment and availability was so easy. I did not have access to MyChart yet since my son is a new patient so I was unable to fill out the questions and provide more information, but no worries, just had to bring my previous paperwork such as immunization records they were asking for anyway. I love this office. It is kid friendly and has a separate waiting area for sick patients. This office is large enough to accommodate a stroller (other offices I went to did not). The other pediatricians we saw still had paper forms/paperwork but I was able to fill out everything via a tablet which was super quick to submit. The care itself was on time, quick, and knowledgeable. I did not feel dumb when asking questions that may seem obvious, routine or silly. I also like that they could provide all the vaccines at the time that were missing at other pediatric offices as well. While I don't want my child to ever be sick, I am happy to take him here for his upcoming routine appointments.

The front staff could really use more training to improve their service. We arrived early for my…read moreson's appointment but ended up waiting for about an hour in the lobby. It wasn't clear whether we were forgotten or just not properly checked in. Since you're dealing with little kids who can become restless easily, it's important to be more mindful of wait times. Hoping this can be improved.

Finding out he went to one of the top universities in Mexico gave me peace of mind, and he definitely lived up to it. He's super knowledgeable, funny, and actually takes the time to answer all your questions. He truly cares and you never feel rushed like at other places. 1000/10 for Dr. Jaime! The staff is also super friendly the nurses and receptionists are always nice (only small thing is sometimes it takes a bit for them to answer the phone). We also saw another female doctor once for a weight check and she was super sweet too. Unfortunately I forget her name. The only bad experience we had was when Dr. Jaime wasn't available and we saw a different doctor who got a bit bossy about my formula choice, but other than that isolated moment, I love this place. Highly recommend Dr. Jaime to any parents looking for a great pediatrician!

This Pediatric practice is definitely not "paradise" for any parent or child! Luckily, I decided to…read morejoin my daughter as she took my 2 year old twin grandsons for an 8:30 A.M. appointment, because I might not have believed it could be this bad, if I hadn't experienced it with them. When we arrived we noticed about 6 employees sitting in the reception area, not doing very much of anything. There were 2 TVs going in the waiting room but nothing else to occupy children as they waited for their appointments. This became a problem because we waited 50 minutes to be seen. When they finally called us back, the employee asked us which vaccines the boys needed. My daughter told them that they should be able to tell because of the records that had been sent from their former pediatrician in North Carolina. "Ok, I will go look". Was she going to give the boys whatever vaccine we mentioned without looking first? Unbelievably, as we waited in the rather grungy room, trying to keep the boys entertained and off the furniture and floor, we were shocked to see a large cockroach on the floor. That was the last straw! We gathered the boys and walked out of the room. When we explained why we were leaving, there was no shock on their faces or apologies to us. The employee said that they would just close the door. Perhaps this practice needs to invest in a good cleaning service, train the front office staff to read the patient files before the appointment, and create a more appropriate waiting room environment for kids. What a shame it was to see a Pediatrician's office that was not child friendly or clean!

Lastly, the RNs/MAs are very impersonal and impatient with little ones. My personal experience was horrible and the nurse who administered the vaccines on my baby placed both of the bandaids incorrectly leaving the sticky part of the bandage, instead of the cotton part- on the wounded area. She was very rude and didnt greet me or my baby with a smile.

We went to the DMV and discovered that we only received two of three pages that all were signed by the doctor. We returned to the doctors office and told one of the lady's at the front desk that we were missing one, she told us she'd search for the form and if she didnt find it, the doctor comes in at 9 and she'd have them sign it, just to wait a couple minutes for her. Mind you, the time is 8:48am, so 12 minutes we were okay with waiting for the doctor. At the end of the day, it couldve just been misplaced, found and given to us. So whats 12 minutes. A lady from the back came up and said you cannot wait here, you have to leave and we'll give you a call back. We said no, we'll wait here as we were told previously. She said well, i'm in charge of this... you have to leave. You can't stay here. And was extremely rude before we even began speaking. I said no, we brought 3 forms initially and wasn't given back everything that was required, we will wait until the doctor gets here to give us what we came here for like we should have been given initially. She said you can wait outside, I said no i'm going to sit right here and wait. She just huffed and puffed and walked to the back. This lady was Maria from the Medical Records dept. This is not the first time we have had an issue with her and I'm sure we are not the only ones. We are grateful for the other staff who were so kind and helpful in rectifying the situation. There is a way to talk to be people and have common courtesy and Maria lacks both. The doctor came in by 9 as previously mentioned, and they resigned the paper that they misplaced and the manager brought it to me directly. I was there for a total of maybe 20 minutes max. If you would like to make a complaint through corporate on her. Her name is Maria F. She's an older woman who works in medical records with dark hair. The phone number is: +1 858-363-4300.
