Receptionist (not an actual orthodontist/doctor) took me in when everyone else was on lunch break and proceeded to cut off 3 hooks on the right side of my mouth. The raw metal pieces began to irritate my mouth so we called them to schedule an appointment to get it looked at. After having to wait 10 days I came in today to get it fixed and the orthodontist mindlessly changed my wires like it was a typical appointment, despite telling them several times before the problem was the sharp pieces of metal from where she had cut. Had to tell the head doctor that wire changing was not what I came in for, and show them what the issue since they didn't understand. Ortho told me what the receptionist cut was the hooks and she was not supposed as they are there to hold rubber bands. 10 days of waiting to be carelessly told "Oops. Too bad." and that I'll have to have the hooks replaced with "fakes" as I will need rubber bands in the future. I suggest looking elsewhere if you need orthodontic work done as these people do not seem to know what they're doing, nor care. I am not the one who's job it is to know these things and how to take care of them, they're the ones who get paid to and still expect someone like me to hold their hand through the whole thing, and getting someone who sits at a desks taking calls to work on people's braces just because everyone else is out to lunch, is very shady.
