My best friend and I were on Bainbridge exploring for the day and we decided we wanted a little wine. Bainbridge Vineyards popped up on Yelp and seemed to be one of the better wineries on the island. There was a little parking lot out front we were able to find parking at. When we left there seemed to be a lot of overflow parking along the gravel path. They had live music playing that late afternoon. We decided to do a wine flight tasting which was a lot of fun. There were seating options outside by the tasting room and music. We ended up sitting back in their more green space on some adirondack chairs. This place felt like it was for all ages. We saw everyone from babies to seniors. The space was such a vibe and it was a wonderful place to catch up on summer stories. We ordered our drinks up front and the woman who served us was kind. It was a seat yourself type of place and bus your own table. I loved how local it felt. I really liked the wines we tried on the flight too! I'd recommend this spot. read more

First timers to this winery but not to wineries. Beautiful landscaping, outdoor seating only, and they pre selected the tasting flight. We didn't eat or snack here. The host was very friendly and knowledgeable. We weren't a fan of the mainly white option, and the preselected tasting menu. Quaint little winery with beautiful views! Visited with some close friends and was pleasantly surprised at the wine scene out here. Glad we got to visit Bainbridge while out in Seattle :) We settled in for a wine tasting-- only around $20/person for 4 wines. I also opted for cheese/crackers ($10~). The setup was very DIY-- a quad of carafes to self-serve along with a box of crackers and a pack of goat cheese LOL. Plates, napkins, water, and silverware were available near the front patio. Staff were sweet and accommodating. Our table was flanked by heaters, keeping the cold at bay. Felt so cozy sipping with friends under their pavilion, taking in the brisk autumn air. Their whites were so delicious & sweet! I'm not a dry/buttery wine type of gal-- I like it as juice-adjacent as possible. These were up my alley for sure. LOVE that the grapes are all grown locally. While far from downtown, the vineyard is easy to access with their local bus system, Pingo. read more

Staff is incredibly rude outside of business. Me and my fiancé broke down on the side of the road near the business next to one of their road signs. As we were waiting for a tow truck one of the staff came to pick up their sign and said in a very rude and judgmental tone "if we needed to park somewhere there is a park and ride right down the road" as if our hazards weren't a sign. We have wanted to try their wine tastings but after that no need to, if that's who they hire. read more

A highlight of our overall trip to Seattle! A 30-minute ferry ride from Seattle to Bainbridge Island followed by a 10-minute drive to this gorgeous vineyard is well worth the journey. Multiple private seating areas complement the views and the delicious !! We will be back. read more

One of my FAVORITE things I did in Seattle! Bainbridge Vinyards is the only winery on the island that grows all its own grapes, and grows them all on the island! The tasting fee is only$18 for 4 tastings. We shared one, and the man pouring was so friendly and gave us a smidge more each pour because we shared. It worked and we obvs ended up buying more glasses, lol. The tasting takes you through some really unique wines. They offer snacks too, and allow you to bring your own. You sit on the patio or can even move closer to the vines and eat amongst the grapes! If I lived here I would come here every weekend. It was so peaceful and idyllic. It should be noted, do not be fooled by the bus route which seems like it will take you close enough you can walk. The bus in Bainbridge is impossible, did not come when it was supposed to, and we luckily got an uber (I guess there are only a few on the island, so don't depend on uber). During the drive, I realized how treacherous walking from the bus stop would've been! Do not rely on public transportation or uber to get you here! Most underrated winery on BB! Tucked away from the busy tourism, Bainbridge Vineyards offered a quaint, private, and relaxing experience as we were able to try a flight of their seasonal offerings, share a bottle of their best white, and go home with a bottle of their housemade vermouth (of which they let us try at no cost). The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. This is a hidden gem(of which i'm even reluctant to talk about), as it beats any other wine experience on the island. Only criticism would be expanding their food offerings. Will be back again! read more

Who run the world? GIRLS! Who run the Bainbridge Vineyards? Badass women, that's who. We visited on a hot, sunny day and my group of 5 women thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Their seating seems to be primarily outdoors and is pretty minimal. If you plan on staying to drink, just be prepared. The wine is sooooo delicious. BV boasts "The first Siegerrebe ever planted and grown in the United States!" and let me tell you, that it is truly one of my new favorite wines. When you buy two bottles, you get a free tasting. This was a no-brainer for our large group. We purchased two bottles, one to share on site, and one for later, and then we shared the wine tasting to get a flavor of the other varieties. It should come as no surprised that we bought a bottle of the Siegerrebe. We also purchased their Rose, and it paired well with the warm sunshine and girly banter. In addition to wines, they have very cute swag, cheese, jams, and crackers for sale. The young lady running the winery was very friendly and knowledgeable. This is a picturesque, well-run local winery, and their product is *chefs kisses* delish. read more

I take all of my family and friends to Bainbridge Vineyards when we do day trips to Bainbridge Island. The vibe is very relaxed and the wine tasting flight is very affordable! Cute picture taking opportunities next to the grapevines. I really love their Ferryboat White! We also enjoyed their Pinot Noir. They were sold out of the Farmstead Red, unfortunately. The service is very friendly as well. My mom accidentally lost her Coach sunglasses and Stephanie was nice enough to find them and send them back to her. We will definitely go back! read more

Dog friendly. Covered area if there is rain and tons of heaters. I'd recommend making a reservation a couple days or week in advance. Loved the #3 Müller-Thurgau white wine and the #4 Siegerrbe which had a lot of melon and apricot fragrance. The only one we didn't care for was the raspberry wine. Couldn't even finish it. We ended our day trip to Bainbridge island by indulging in some wine here at the vineyard. It's conveniently located on the way to or the way back from Bloedel Reserve (another must see). Their vineyard is absolutely beautiful! It's a wonderful spot for friends getting together, families, or for a date. It's tucked away off the road and very peaceful. Everything Bainbridge Vineyards does to maintain the vineyard and property is with intention and it's done by hand. They have working horses that plow the land for their various needs. There are signs spewed about so you can read and learn about their practices as well as walk the property. Bainbridge Vineyards practices environmentally friendly methods to ensure the land and animals in the area thrive! Discovering that made my day. The lovely ladies are a delight to talk to and we learned a ton. There's a variety of seating so you can sit in groups or be tucked away on your own. I highly recommend the farmers blend. Cute little set up. We stood by for some tasting and the girl was so nite and friendly. We enjoyed their wines and the atmosphere of sitting outside. They have sheep and horses on the farm and the girls had a great time running around. They have a dessert wine which is delicious. Highly recommend this place. There was only one downside. Not only is the location charming and rustic, but historic as well, and the operation clearly has plenty of heart, soul, as well as enough diversity behind it to satisfy most anybody, be they hardened oenophiles or brand-new wine consumers. We ordered a flight for each of us and found some chairs under a tree to soak in the scenery and the delightful wine. We took our time, snacked and chatted. Amenities lacking for customers in need of a restroom. I had been here in the past where customers could use the indoor restroom. Today, I had to slog down driveway - in the rain - to the horse barn to use the Porta Potty - that was wet and cold. Other wineries in the area allowed customers to use the indoor bathroom so do not believe it is related to Covid. The experience was very inconvenient and not good for customers. read more

$5 for four generously sized tastings of any of their available wine. I chose to taste four whites -- Pinot Gris, Ferryboat White, Siegerrebe, and the Siegerrebe Late Harvest. The Siegerrebe was my favourite of the 4. The Pinot Gris was too heavy on the citrus but finished cleanly, just not my favourite. Ferryboat White was too sweet for me, but I'm sure others will like it!!! The Siegerrebe Late Harvest was ok -- they say that it's like a sauternes but it wasn't really that similar besides being white/sweet. Definitely doesn't have the texture of sauternes. Anyway, I would say - absolutely drop by if you're passing through, it's a quick, easy/casual, inexpensive activity. The folks at the tasting room are very friendly. While the tasting room is small, I didn't feel cramped in there and we went on a sunny weekend day. read more

From what we were told, this is the only winery in Bainbridge that uses 100 percent island-grown grapes. That's a pretty great selling point for a tourist like me. The wine tasting consists of any 4 wines from the menu. The Siegerrebe was probably the best surprise here. I've never heard of this type of wine, and based on the description, I thought it would be a little too sweet for my taste. But it wasn't. This is a delicious white wine. Sweeter than Chardonnay, delicious, and refreshing. If we weren't leaving tomorrow, definitely would have bought some. Our sommelier was really friendly and knowledgeable. My first visit here was great: super friendly people, good wine, and a nice atmosphere.

My girlfriend and I enjoy wine tasting, so when we visited Bainbridge Island last weekend, we decided to check out Bainbridge Vineyards, the only winery that grows its grapes on the island. The drive into the vineyard is not very attractive. The fields on the side of the road leading into the vineyard are absolutely covered in garbage and broken machine parts. If Bainbridge Vineyards owns this land, they should definitely clean it up, and if their neighbors own it, they should talk to their neighbors about cleaning it up. Atmosphere matters, and the junk alongside the road gave us a negative first impression of the the vineyard. This winery specializes in really fruity wines which admittedly is not my cup of tea (or glass of wine). I wasn't particularly impressed with any of their white wines, because they were too sweet for me. The offer one red wine on their tasting list, a Pinot Noir. However, the transition from tasting their sweet white wines into the Pinot was awkward, and I think it negatively affected my impression of the Pinot. I think they should either lean in to the fruity white wine theme and just remove the Pinot or they should add at least one more dry red wine to their menu. The last wine we tasted was the sweet raspberry wine, and it was easily the best of their tasting menu. The wine was like drinking a raspberry. I can't imagine sitting down and sipping a whole glass of the raspberry wine given how sweet it is, but I think it would be awesome to cook with or to drizzle over desserts (like a blackberry cobbler). If you are into fruity wines, you should definitely visit Bainbridge Vineyards. read more

I've visited most of the Island wineries and this is the best vino, without a doubt. All of their grapes are island grown, which means they only make wine from grapes that grow well in the cooler PNW climate. You won't find any of those big jammy Washington Syrahs here, but you might discover your new favorite random white wine varietal. Mine is Siegerrebe. We first tried these wines at the West Seattle Farmers Market, where the winery has a booth every other week, but we finally made it out to the winery last weekend. It was a fun tasting experience - tasting room itself was small but they have lots of outdoor space. You can also grab your pour and go wander through the grape vines. We had a great time and so did our dog. read more

I'd give them a 4 if they banned minors. This is a small winery and every time I've been there is at least one family with loud children ruining the ambiance. Usually the parents are loud and rude too. There aren't many places to sit and it's torture to have to sit at the last table next to the people with the screaming children. One family will take over the entire pretty outdoor area. You've got to ban this because people have bad manners and will keep bring kids to wineries. This is the only winery on the island- trust me it's in high demand and people will go even if you ban toddlers. read more
